Švedska vlada je odlučila da će vojna obaveza, ukinuta 2010., biti ponovo uvedena od ljeta 2017. zbog pogoršanja sigurnosne situacije u Europi, a posebno zbog pojačane demonstracije vojne moći susjedne Rusije.
"Situacija se promijenila i vlada želi stabilniju metodu novačenja i jačanje naših vojnih kapaciteta", rekao je agenciji TT ministar obrane Peter Hultqvist.
Vlada je objavila da dragovoljno služenje vojnog roka "oružanim snagama ne daje dovoljno obučenog osoblja te je ponovno uvođenje novčenja nužno za vojnu spremnost u regiji".
Švedska nema zajedničku granicu s Rusijom, ali reagirala je na nekoliko kršenja zračnog prostora ruskih zrakoplova na Baltiku i u Skandinaviji te na jačanje ruske vojske u enklavi Kalinjingradu, koja se nalazi s druge strane Baltičkog mora, točno nasuprot Švedskoj.
Služenju vojnog roka bit će podložni Šveđani i Šveđanke rođeni 1999. godine ili kasnije, iako neće svi biti izabrani za odlazak u vojsku.
Očekuje se da će 13.000 mladih od 1. srpnja 2017. biti pozvano na regrutaciju, ali samo će ih 4000 stvarno otići u vojsku, ovisno o sposobnostima i motivaciji.
Vojni rok će trajati 11 mjeseci.
Zakon će sigurno proći u parlamentu jer ima podršku svih političkih opcija.
Švedska, koja nije iskusila oružani sukob na svom teritoriju više od dva stoljeća, ukinula je vojnu obavezu jer se činila nepotrebnomm.
Zemlja nije članica NATO-a, ali sudjeluje u programu Partnerstvo za mir.

Švedska vlada je odlučila da će vojna obaveza, ukinuta 2010., biti ponovo uvedena od ljeta 2017. zbog pogoršanja sigurnosne situacije u Europi, a posebno zbog pojačane demonstracije vojne moći susjedne Rusije.
"Situacija se promijenila i vlada želi stabilniju metodu novačenja i jačanje naših vojnih kapaciteta", rekao je agenciji TT ministar obrane Peter Hultqvist.
Vlada je objavila da dragovoljno služenje vojnog roka "oružanim snagama ne daje dovoljno obučenog osoblja te je ponovno uvođenje novčenja nužno za vojnu spremnost u regiji".
Švedska nema zajedničku granicu s Rusijom, ali reagirala je na nekoliko kršenja zračnog prostora ruskih zrakoplova na Baltiku i u Skandinaviji te na jačanje ruske vojske u enklavi Kalinjingradu, koja se nalazi s druge strane Baltičkog mora, točno nasuprot Švedskoj.
Služenju vojnog roka bit će podložni Šveđani i Šveđanke rođeni 1999. godine ili kasnije, iako neće svi biti izabrani za odlazak u vojsku.
Očekuje se da će 13.000 mladih od 1. srpnja 2017. biti pozvano na regrutaciju, ali samo će ih 4000 stvarno otići u vojsku, ovisno o sposobnostima i motivaciji.
Vojni rok će trajati 11 mjeseci.
Zakon će sigurno proći u parlamentu jer ima podršku svih političkih opcija.
Švedska, koja nije iskusila oružani sukob na svom teritoriju više od dva stoljeća, ukinula je vojnu obavezu jer se činila nepotrebnomm.
Zemlja nije članica NATO-a, ali sudjeluje u programu Partnerstvo za mir.
