Voditelj Laboratorija za naprednu genomiku Instituta Ruđer Bošković, dr. sc. Oliver Vugrek smatra kako podaci o broju zaraženih koronavirusom u svijetu nisu točni te da rana istraživanja pokazuju da je broj deset do dvadeset puta veći.

Ugledni znanstvenik poručuje i kako se može dogoditi da ni jedno cjepivo, koja se razviju u SAD-u ili Kini, neće odgovarati tipu koronavirusa kojeg imamo u našoj zemlji.

"Imamo različite sojeve koronavirusa i pretpostavljam da će se praviti i različita cjepiva koje će proizvoditi različite zemlje. Trenutno imamo od 10 do 12 većih grana u stablu podrijetla virusa. Može se dogoditi da niti jedno cjepivo koje se razviju u SAD ili Kini neće odgovarati tipu koronavirusa kojeg imamo u našoj regiji. Možda će moći djelovati, ali može biti i ne previše učinkovito - kazao je Vugrek za sarajevski Dnevni avaz.

Dodao je, kako je stoga jako važno istraživanje genotipa novoga koronavirusa te ponovio kako će se sigurno i za glavne podvrste razvijati cjepivo.

Danas je gostujući na televiziji N1 iznio zanimljive podatke o SARS- CoV-2 virusu proizašle iz sekvenciranja RNA dobivene iz uzoraka virusa prikupljenih od hrvatskih pacijenata.

- Postoji pojava da se u jednoj obitelji dogodi od tri do pet promjena u genomu virusa, što navodi na zaključak da se virus mijenja, ali je još nepoznanica u kojem vremenskom razdoblju - napominje.

Kao što je poznato prva detaljna analiza genoma SARS-CoV-2, uzročnika bolesti COVID-19, provedena je na Institutu "Ruđer Bošković" u laboratoriju za naprednu genomiku upravo pod vodstvom Vugreka, a u suradnji s profesorima Igorom Jurakom s Odjela za biotehnologiju Sveučilišta u Rijeci, Tomislavom Rukavinom i Nevenom Sučićem s Medicinskog fakulteta i Nastavnog zavoda za javno zdravstvo u Rijeci. Ovi rezultati omogućuju određivanje izvora zaraze i njezino praćenje širenja u Hrvatskoj.

Većina uzoraka u Hrvatskoj pripada podvrsti "S"

- Virus se mijenja unutar jedne obitelji, to smo zaključili na temelju naših podataka. Oni su se vjerojatno zarazili od iste osobe, ali postoje promjene. To je mali broj promjena, ali se to događa brzo, kroz par tjedana. To je znanstveno zanimljivo i to treba pratiti – kaže znanstvenik.

Virus je, dakle, mutirao, no kako navodi Vugrek, ne puno i brzo kao što mutira virus gripe.

- Analizirali smo 21 genom koji ukazuju na to da su virusi koje nalazimo kad nas došli iz Italije i Austrije. Nemamo pregled svih slučajeva u Hrvatskoj, ali iz analiziranih virusa to vidimo. Trenutno imamo tri podvrste virusa: S, V i G, a ima i niz, 8, 10 ili 12 podvrsta – poručio je Oliver Vugrek.

Što više podataka pristiže u svjetsku bazu koja skuplja sve genome, više ćemo znati koliko zapravo ima podvrsta i koje su od njih prisutne u Hrvatskoj.

- Trenutno znamo da većina naših uzoraka pripada specifičnoj podvrsti (S) na temelju koje će se vjerojatno generirati cjepivo – istaknuo zantvenik gostujući na N1 televiziji .

Voditelj Laboratorija za naprednu genomiku Instituta Ruđer Bošković, dr. sc. Oliver Vugrek smatra kako podaci o broju zaraženih koronavirusom u svijetu nisu točni te da rana istraživanja pokazuju da je broj deset do dvadeset puta veći.

Ugledni znanstvenik poručuje i kako se može dogoditi da ni jedno cjepivo, koja se razviju u SAD-u ili Kini, neće odgovarati tipu koronavirusa kojeg imamo u našoj zemlji.

"Imamo različite sojeve koronavirusa i pretpostavljam da će se praviti i različita cjepiva koje će proizvoditi različite zemlje. Trenutno imamo od 10 do 12 većih grana u stablu podrijetla virusa. Može se dogoditi da niti jedno cjepivo koje se razviju u SAD ili Kini neće odgovarati tipu koronavirusa kojeg imamo u našoj regiji. Možda će moći djelovati, ali može biti i ne previše učinkovito - kazao je Vugrek za sarajevski Dnevni avaz.

Dodao je, kako je stoga jako važno istraživanje genotipa novoga koronavirusa te ponovio kako će se sigurno i za glavne podvrste razvijati cjepivo.

Danas je gostujući na televiziji N1 iznio zanimljive podatke o SARS- CoV-2 virusu proizašle iz sekvenciranja RNA dobivene iz uzoraka virusa prikupljenih od hrvatskih pacijenata.

- Postoji pojava da se u jednoj obitelji dogodi od tri do pet promjena u genomu virusa, što navodi na zaključak da se virus mijenja, ali je još nepoznanica u kojem vremenskom razdoblju - napominje.

Kao što je poznato prva detaljna analiza genoma SARS-CoV-2, uzročnika bolesti COVID-19, provedena je na Institutu "Ruđer Bošković" u laboratoriju za naprednu genomiku upravo pod vodstvom Vugreka, a u suradnji s profesorima Igorom Jurakom s Odjela za biotehnologiju Sveučilišta u Rijeci, Tomislavom Rukavinom i Nevenom Sučićem s Medicinskog fakulteta i Nastavnog zavoda za javno zdravstvo u Rijeci. Ovi rezultati omogućuju određivanje izvora zaraze i njezino praćenje širenja u Hrvatskoj.

Većina uzoraka u Hrvatskoj pripada podvrsti "S"

- Virus se mijenja unutar jedne obitelji, to smo zaključili na temelju naših podataka. Oni su se vjerojatno zarazili od iste osobe, ali postoje promjene. To je mali broj promjena, ali se to događa brzo, kroz par tjedana. To je znanstveno zanimljivo i to treba pratiti – kaže znanstvenik.

Virus je, dakle, mutirao, no kako navodi Vugrek, ne puno i brzo kao što mutira virus gripe.

- Analizirali smo 21 genom koji ukazuju na to da su virusi koje nalazimo kad nas došli iz Italije i Austrije. Nemamo pregled svih slučajeva u Hrvatskoj, ali iz analiziranih virusa to vidimo. Trenutno imamo tri podvrste virusa: S, V i G, a ima i niz, 8, 10 ili 12 podvrsta – poručio je Oliver Vugrek.

Što više podataka pristiže u svjetsku bazu koja skuplja sve genome, više ćemo znati koliko zapravo ima podvrsta i koje su od njih prisutne u Hrvatskoj.

- Trenutno znamo da većina naših uzoraka pripada specifičnoj podvrsti (S) na temelju koje će se vjerojatno generirati cjepivo – istaknuo zantvenik gostujući na N1 televiziji .

Voditelj Laboratorija za naprednu genomiku Instituta Ruđer Bošković, dr. sc. Oliver Vugrek smatra kako podaci o broju zaraženih koronavirusom u svijetu nisu točni te da rana istraživanja pokazuju da je broj deset do dvadeset puta veći.

Ugledni znanstvenik poručuje i kako se može dogoditi da ni jedno cjepivo, koja se razviju u SAD-u ili Kini, neće odgovarati tipu koronavirusa kojeg imamo u našoj zemlji.

"Imamo različite sojeve koronavirusa i pretpostavljam da će se praviti i različita cjepiva koje će proizvoditi različite zemlje. Trenutno imamo od 10 do 12 većih grana u stablu podrijetla virusa. Može se dogoditi da niti jedno cjepivo koje se razviju u SAD ili Kini neće odgovarati tipu koronavirusa kojeg imamo u našoj regiji. Možda će moći djelovati, ali može...
