Znanstveno istraživanje poznato kao studija Com-Cov, prvi je put pokrenuto u veljači u Velikoj Britaniji kako bi se utvrdilo kakav se imunološki odgovor postiže kombinacijom različitih cjepiva protiv COVID-19 u prvoj i drugoj dozi. Primarni razlog je bio da se istraži kombiniranje vektorskog (AstraZeneca) i mRNA cjepiva (Pfizer) kao odgovor na krizne situacije u kojima nekog cjepiva nema za drugu dozu što bi omogućilo veću fleksibilnost u programima cijepljenja.

Već prije istraživanja na cjepivima protiv virusa ebole pokazala su da kombiniranje cjepiva poboljšava razinu zaštite od zaraze.  Znanstvenic su u veljači započeli istraživanje kombinacije prvih i dodatnih doza cjepiva AstraZenece i BioNTech/Pfizera u intervalima od četiri i 12 tjedana, a sad su u uveli i kombinaciju Moderne i Novavaxa. Rezultati prvog pokusnog miješanja, uz korištenje samo AstraZenece i Pfizera, očekuju se koncem travnja ili u svibnju, dok bi rezultati druge faze trebali biti objavljeni u srpnju.

U studiji sudjeluje više od 800 dobrovoljaca iz Velike Britanije. Prate se nuspojave, a analizama krvnih testova gleda koliko se snažan imuni odgovor razvija nakon kombinacija cjepiva. Profesor Sveučilišta Oxford koji vodi ispitivanje Matthew Snape objasnio je da će dobrovoljcima, koji dobiju cjepivo AstraZenece ili Pfizera, nasumično biti dano isto cjepivo ili pak cjepivo Moderne ili Novavaxa u drugoj dozi.

„Ako uspijemo pokazati da ovi mješoviti rasporedi stvaraju imunološki odgovor jednako dobar kao i standardni raspored, i bez značajnog povećanja reakcija na cjepiva, to će potencijalno omogućiti većem broju ljudi da brže završe imunizaciju protiv COVID-a, rekao je Snape.

Izvještaji o nuspojavama cjepiva AstraZenece i prije rezultata istraživanja navele su Francusku i Njemačku da počnu kombinirati dvije evrste cjepiva: vektorsko i mRNA.

Njemački građani mlađi od 60 godina koji su cijepljeni protiv Covida-19 prvom dozom AstraZenece u drugoj dozi dobit će cjepivo Pfizera ili Moderne, a istu je odluku nekoliko dana ranije donijela i Francuska.

Član Vladinog Znanstvenog savjeta za borbu protiv koronavirusa, epidemiolog prof. dr. Branko Kolarić kaže kako je tu zasada problem što, kada se cjepivo ne koristi kako je registrirano, proizvođač i regulatorno tijelo ne daju nikakva jamstva.

Ugledni virusni imunolog Stipana Jonjića za Tportal kazao je kako, što se tiče miješanja vektorskog i cjepiva s glasničkom mRNA tehnologijom, ne vidi bioloških, odnosno imunoloških zapreka.  

Naglašava kako činjenica da je riječ o različitim vrstama cjepiva, vektorskim i mRNA, nije bitna.

"Drugom dozom selektivno se pojačava odgovor antitijela na S-protein virusa SARS-CoV-2, a ne na antigene vektora. Primjerice, ako u prvoj dozi dobijete AstraZenecino ili neko drugo vektorsko cjepivo, a u drugoj dozi dobijete mRNA cjepivo, onda je to savršeno jer samo u toj drugoj dozi pojačavate odgovor na ono što vam treba, a to je odgovor na S-protein virusa. To je gotovo idealna kombinacija, pojasnio je Jonjić.

Upitan očekuje li da i Hrvatska krene stopama Njemačke i Francuske po pitanju tzv. miješanja cjepiva, kaže da je o tome i ranije bilo riječi, no da se znanstvenici 'ne mogu miješati u rad institucija kojima je posao da propisuju pravila'.

 „Bilo je govora o tome da bi trebalo razmisliti da se što više ljudi cijepi jednom dozom, a kada bude dovoljno cjepiva, i drugom. Međutim to vjerojatno niti Stožer ne može odlučiti bez preporuke regulatornih agencija', zaključio je virolog.

Znanstveno istraživanje poznato kao studija Com-Cov, prvi je put pokrenuto u veljači u Velikoj Britaniji kako bi se utvrdilo kakav se imunološki odgovor postiže kombinacijom različitih cjepiva protiv COVID-19 u prvoj i drugoj dozi. Primarni razlog je bio da se istraži kombiniranje vektorskog (AstraZeneca) i mRNA cjepiva (Pfizer) kao odgovor na krizne situacije u kojima nekog cjepiva nema za drugu dozu što bi omogućilo veću fleksibilnost u programima cijepljenja.

Već prije istraživanja na cjepivima protiv virusa ebole pokazala su da kombiniranje cjepiva poboljšava razinu zaštite od zaraze.  Znanstvenic su u veljači započeli istraživanje kombinacije prvih i dodatnih doza cjepiva AstraZenece i BioNTech/Pfizera u intervalima od četiri i 12 tjedana, a sad su u uveli i kombinaciju Moderne i Novavaxa. Rezultati prvog pokusnog miješanja, uz korištenje samo AstraZenece i Pfizera, očekuju se koncem travnja ili u svibnju, dok bi rezultati druge faze trebali biti objavljeni u srpnju.

U studiji sudjeluje više od 800 dobrovoljaca iz Velike Britanije. Prate se nuspojave, a analizama krvnih testova gleda koliko se snažan imuni odgovor razvija nakon kombinacija cjepiva. Profesor Sveučilišta Oxford koji vodi ispitivanje Matthew Snape objasnio je da će dobrovoljcima, koji dobiju cjepivo AstraZenece ili Pfizera, nasumično biti dano isto cjepivo ili pak cjepivo Moderne ili Novavaxa u drugoj dozi.

„Ako uspijemo pokazati da ovi mješoviti rasporedi stvaraju imunološki odgovor jednako dobar kao i standardni raspored, i bez značajnog povećanja reakcija na cjepiva, to će potencijalno omogućiti većem broju ljudi da brže završe imunizaciju protiv COVID-a, rekao je Snape.

Izvještaji o nuspojavama cjepiva AstraZenece i prije rezultata istraživanja navele su Francusku i Njemačku da počnu kombinirati dvije evrste cjepiva: vektorsko i mRNA.

Njemački građani mlađi od 60 godina koji su cijepljeni protiv Covida-19 prvom dozom AstraZenece u drugoj dozi dobit će cjepivo Pfizera ili Moderne, a istu je odluku nekoliko dana ranije donijela i Francuska.

Član Vladinog Znanstvenog savjeta za borbu protiv koronavirusa, epidemiolog prof. dr. Branko Kolarić kaže kako je tu zasada problem što, kada se cjepivo ne koristi kako je registrirano, proizvođač i regulatorno tijelo ne daju nikakva jamstva.

Ugledni virusni imunolog Stipana Jonjića za Tportal kazao je kako, što se tiče miješanja vektorskog i cjepiva s glasničkom mRNA tehnologijom, ne vidi bioloških, odnosno imunoloških zapreka.  

Naglašava kako činjenica da je riječ o različitim vrstama cjepiva, vektorskim i mRNA, nije bitna.

"Drugom dozom selektivno se pojačava odgovor antitijela na S-protein virusa SARS-CoV-2, a ne na antigene vektora. Primjerice, ako u prvoj dozi dobijete AstraZenecino ili neko drugo vektorsko cjepivo, a u drugoj dozi dobijete mRNA cjepivo, onda je to savršeno jer samo u toj drugoj dozi pojačavate odgovor na ono što vam treba, a to je odgovor na S-protein virusa. To je gotovo idealna kombinacija, pojasnio je Jonjić.

Upitan očekuje li da i Hrvatska krene stopama Njemačke i Francuske po pitanju tzv. miješanja cjepiva, kaže da je o tome i ranije bilo riječi, no da se znanstvenici 'ne mogu miješati u rad institucija kojima je posao da propisuju pravila'.

 „Bilo je govora o tome da bi trebalo razmisliti da se što više ljudi cijepi jednom dozom, a kada bude dovoljno cjepiva, i drugom. Međutim to vjerojatno niti Stožer ne može odlučiti bez preporuke regulatornih agencija', zaključio je virolog.
