Većinu ljudi povremeno zaboli glava, ali od toga ne radimo veliku dramu - popijemo par tableta, navučemo zastore i ubijemo oko. Međutim, što ako se bol ne ublaži ili se još dodatno pogorša? Većinu ljudi povremeno zaboli glava, ali od toga ne radimo veliku dramu - popijemo par tableta, navučemo zastore i ubijemo oko. Međutim, što ako se bol ne ublaži ili se još dodatno pogorša? Iako je lako paničariti ako vas glava stvarno jako i dugo boli, većina glavobolja još uvijek nije razlog za zabrinutost, tješe nas liječnici. To ipak ne znači da nikad nisu znak nečega oko čega bismo se trebali informirati - samo trebate znati na što paziti da biste uočili rijetke prilike kada vašu glavu zaista treba pregledati.

Glavobolja je najrasprostranjeniji simptom u općoj populaciji, jer je iskusilo čak 97 posto ljudi. Dobra vijest je da je velika većina, gotovo 99 posto potpuno benigna, tj. ne uzrokuje je neka teža bolest. Samo 1 posto ili čak manje je ozbiljno, piše The Independent.

Dvije glavne kategorije glavobolje su sekundarne i primarne. Liječnici kažu da sekundarne glavobolje mogu uzrokovati krvarenje ili tumori u mozgu, ali i nešto manje zlokobno, poput infekcije sinusa zbog prehlade.

Migrena

Druga vrsta primarne glavobolje je migrena. Napadi mogu trajati od četiri do 72 sata i imati široku paletu simptoma, često uključujući jaku pulsirajuću glavobolju koja je obično, ali ne uvijek, s jedne strane glave. Češća je kod žena nego kod muškaraca, a prati je osjetljivost na svjetlost, zvukove i može izazivati mučninu i povraćanje.

Trećina pacijenata s migrenom ima simptome koji ukazuju na moždani udar, poput bljeskajućih svjetala, cik-cak linija, zamagljenog vida, ukočenosti i slabosti u rukama ili nogama i postupno se javljaju. To se naziva aura i rješava se za otprilike sat vremena. Često u ljudima pokreće alarm za moždani udar, ali za razliku od moždanog udara, simptomi se razvijaju postupno tijekom nekoliko minuta i smiruju se tijekom nekoliko minuta, tj. ne dolaze iznenada.

Većinu ljudi povremeno zaboli glava, ali od toga ne radimo veliku dramu - popijemo par tableta, navučemo zastore i ubijemo oko. Međutim, što ako se bol ne ublaži ili se još dodatno pogorša?
