Ispitivanje na ljudima s visokim nasljednim rizikom za široki spektar karcinoma pokazalo je veliki preventivni učinak rezistentnog škroba, koji se nalazi u nizu namirnica kao što su zob i zelene banane. Može se naći i u žitaricama za doručak, kuhanoj i ohlađenoj tjestenini te riži, grašku i grahu.

Međunarodno ispitivanje - poznato kao CAPP2 - uključivalo je gotovo 1000 pacijenata s Lynchovim sindromom iz cijelog svijeta i otkrilo je da redovita doza rezistentnog škroba, također poznatog i kao fermentabilna vlakna, a uzimana u prosjeku dvije godine, nije utjecala na rak crijeva. ali je za ostale vrste raka mogućnost smanjio za više od pedeset posto. 

Taj je učinak bio posebno izražen kod karcinoma gornjeg dijela probavnog sustava, uključujući rak jednjaka, želuca, bilijarnog trakta i gušterače.

Uočeno je da zapanjujući učinak traje 10 godina nakon prestanka uzimanja dodatka.

Studija, koju su vodili stručnjaci sa sveučilišta Newcastle i Leeds, objavljena u Cancer Prevention Research, časopisu Američke udruge za istraživanje raka, uključivala je dvostruko slijepo 10-godišnje praćenje, dopunjeno sveobuhvatnim podacima nacionalnog registra raka.

- Otkrili smo da rezistentni škrob smanjuje niz vrsta raka i za šedesetak posto. Učinak je bio najočitiji u gornjem dijelu crijeva -  objasnio je John Mathers, profesor na Sveučilištu Newcastle koji je dodao kako je to važno jer je rak gornjeg dijela crijeva teško dijagnosticirati i često se ne otkrije rano.

- Rezistentni škrob je vrsta ugljikohidrata koji se ne probavlja u vašem tankom crijevu, umjesto toga fermentira u vašem debelom crijevu, hraneći korisne crijevne bakterije koje djeluje kao dijetalna vlakna u vašem probavnom sustavu. Ova vrsta škroba ima nekoliko zdravstvenih prednosti i manje kalorija od običnog škroba. Smatramo da rezistentni škrob može smanjiti razvoj raka mijenjanjem bakterijskog metabolizma žučnih kiselina i smanjiti one vrste žučnih kiselina koje mogu oštetiti našu DNK i na kraju uzrokovati rak. Međutim, ovo zahtijeva dodatna istraživanja - dodao je.

Ispitivanje na ljudima s visokim nasljednim rizikom za široki spektar karcinoma pokazalo je veliki preventivni učinak rezistentnog škroba, koji se nalazi u nizu namirnica kao što su zob i zelene banane. Može se naći i u žitaricama za doručak, kuhanoj i ohlađenoj tjestenini te riži, grašku i grahu.

Međunarodno ispitivanje - poznato kao CAPP2 - uključivalo je gotovo 1000 pacijenata s Lynchovim sindromom iz cijelog svijeta i otkrilo je da redovita doza rezistentnog škroba, također poznatog i kao fermentabilna vlakna, a uzimana u prosjeku dvije godine, nije utjecala na rak crijeva. ali je za ostale vrste raka mogućnost smanjio za više od pedeset posto. 

Taj je učinak bio posebno izražen kod karcinoma gornjeg dijela probavnog sustava, uključujući rak jednjaka, želuca, bilijarnog trakta i gušterače.

Uočeno je da zapanjujući učinak traje 10 godina nakon prestanka uzimanja dodatka.

Studija, koju su vodili stručnjaci sa sveučilišta Newcastle i Leeds, objavljena u Cancer Prevention Research, časopisu Američke udruge za istraživanje raka, uključivala je dvostruko slijepo 10-godišnje praćenje, dopunjeno sveobuhvatnim podacima nacionalnog registra raka.

- Otkrili smo da rezistentni škrob smanjuje niz vrsta raka i za šedesetak posto. Učinak je bio najočitiji u gornjem dijelu crijeva -  objasnio je John Mathers, profesor na Sveučilištu Newcastle koji je dodao kako je to važno jer je rak gornjeg dijela crijeva teško dijagnosticirati i često se ne otkrije rano.

- Rezistentni škrob je vrsta ugljikohidrata koji se ne probavlja u vašem tankom crijevu, umjesto toga fermentira u vašem debelom crijevu, hraneći korisne crijevne bakterije koje djeluje kao dijetalna vlakna u vašem probavnom sustavu. Ova vrsta škroba ima nekoliko zdravstvenih prednosti i manje kalorija od običnog škroba. Smatramo da rezistentni škrob može smanjiti razvoj raka mijenjanjem bakterijskog metabolizma žučnih kiselina i smanjiti one vrste žučnih kiselina koje mogu oštetiti našu DNK i na kraju uzrokovati rak. Međutim, ovo zahtijeva dodatna istraživanja - dodao je.

Znanstvenici su otkrili koji dodatak može prepoloviti rizik za neke vrste raka: krije se u zobi i nekoliko vrsta voća i povrća, svi ih imate kod kuće

Ispitivanje na ljudima s visokim nasljednim rizikom za široki spektar karcinoma pokazalo je veliki preventivni učinak rezistentnog škroba, koji se nalazi u nizu namirnica kao što su zob i zelene banane. Može se naći i u žitaricama za doručak, kuhanoj i ohlađenoj tjestenini te riži, grašku i grahu.

Međunarodno ispitivanje - poznato kao CAPP2 - uključivalo je gotovo 1000 pacijenata s Lynchovim sindromom iz cijelog svijeta i otkrilo je da redovita doza rezistentnog škroba, također poznatog i kao fermentabilna vlakna, a uzimana u prosjeku dvije godine, nije utjecala na rak crijeva. ali je za ostale vrste raka mogućnost smanjio za više od pedeset posto.
