Znanstvenici istražuju nekoliko mogućnosti koje bi mogle objasniti najmanje 18 izvještaja o iznimno rijetkoj pojavi krvnih ugrušaka u mozgu pojedinaca u danima i tjednima nakon što su dobili cjepivo protiv covida tvrtke AstraZenece.

Europski istražitelji iznijeli su teoriju po kojoj cjepivo u rijetkim slučajevima potiče na proizvodnju neuobičajenih antitijela, dok drugi nastoje shvatiti jesu li ti slučajevi povezani s uzimanjem kontracepcijskih pilula.

No mnogi znanstvenici kažu da zasad nema definitivnih dokaza te da nije jasno uzrokuje li i zbog čega cjepivo AstraZenece problem koji se ne zamjećuje kod drugih sličnih cjepiva protiv covida, koja ciljaju sličan dio koronavirusa.

Rijetka pojava krvnih ugrušaka uglavnom je otkrivena među ženskom populacijom, a većina slučajeva evidentirana je u Europi. U Indiji su zabilježena dva slučaja.

Cerebralna venska sinusna tromboza

Europska agencija za lijekove priopćila je da preliminarno istraživanje upućuje na to da cjepivo nije povezano s povećanim sveukupnim rizikom od nastanka krvnih ugrušaka, no istodobno nije isključila povezanost s rizikom od rijetkih slučajeva pojave krvnih ugrušaka u žilama kojima se krv odvodi iz mozga, u medicini poznatih kao cerebralna venska sinusna tromboza (CVST).

Znanstvenici iz Njemačke i Norveške, dviju zemalja u kojima su evidentirani neki od slučajeva CVST-a ovaj su tjedan iznijeli pretpostavku po kojoj bi cjepivo moglo pokrenuti imunosni odgovor tijekom kojega organizam proizvodi antitijela koja mogu rezultirati nastankom krvnih ugrušaka.

Profesor Paal Andre Holme iz norveške Sveučilišne bolnice u Oslu, koji je liječio troje svojih kolega, zdravstvenih radnika s teškim oblikom krvnih ugrušaka, nakon što su primili cjepivo AstraZenece, u četvrtak je na konferenciji za novinare rekao da su znanstvenici došli do otkrića koja bi mogla otkriti što se dogodilo s tim pacijentima. 

Upozorio je da su nalazi preliminarni. "Ovo je tek početak svih istraživanja koja provodimo", rekao je, ne objavivši informacije koje bi išle u prilog njegovoj hipotezi.

I grupa njemačkih stručnjaka Sveučilišne klinike Greifswald u petak je izvijestila da su njihovi istraživači došli do sličnog zaključka. Ako se on pokaže točnim, možda postoji način da se ovakvo stanje liječi, rekli su znanstvenici.
EMA provodi nekoliko istraga 

Stručnjaci EMA-e u četvrtak su izvijestili da provode nekoliko istraga nastojeći utvrditi je li rijetka pojava krvnih ugrušaka u nekih pojedinaca povezana s cjepivom ili oni slučajno nastaju. Zamijetili su da se ugrušci češće pojavljuju kod mlađih žena.
Cerebralna venska sinusna tromboza, premda rijetka, povezuje se s trudnoćom i korištenjem oralnih kontraceptiva. "To je jedna od stvari koju ćemo u skoroj budućnosti dodatno istražiti", rekla je Sabine Straus, predsjednica EMA-inog Odbora za sigurnost lijekova.

EMA kani istražiti i jesu li se osobe kod kojih se razvilo spomenuto stanje koronavirusom zarazile ranije ili u vrijeme kad su cijepljene cjepivom protiv covida, jer to može prouzročiti nastanak ugrušaka.

Neki američki stručnjaci za cjepivo i dalje su oprezni u pogledu hipoteze o antitijelima te tvrde da bi velik publicitet koji prati ove događaje mogao utjecati na to da kliničari češće nego što je uobičajeno izvješćuju o ovom stanju među pacijentima, zbog čega se čini da su ona povezana s cijepljenjem, odnosno cjepivom.

Zašto je problem AstraZeneca, a ne i ostala slična cjepiva na bazi adenovirusa?

Cjepivo AstraZeneca dobilo je odobrenje za hitnu upotrebu u 70 zemalja, no u Sjedinjenim Državama još nije odobreno.

Američki stručnjaci pitaju se zbog čega bi se više krvnih ugrušaka javljalo samo među pacijentima cijepljenim AstraZenecinim cjepivom, a ne i cjepivima Pfizera i BioNTecha, Moderne, Johnson&Johnsona ili ruskog Sputnjika V.

Dodaju da sva navedena cjepiva proizvode antitijela koja ciljaju na šiljak što ga koronavirus koristi za prodor u stanicu.
Poput J&J ili cjepiva Sputnjik, i AstraZeneca koristi nereplicirajući adenovirus prehlade da bi omogućio šiljcima proteina prodor u stanicu te stvaranje imunosnog odgovora.

"Nakon što njemački i norveški znanstvenici predaju svoje recenzirane publikacije, znanstvena zajednica moći će ih proučiti", rekao je dr. Peter Hotez, istraživač cjepiva na Medicinskom fakultetu Baylor u Houstonu. "Nema razloga da se ovo događa u slučaju AstraZenecina cjepiva, a ne i kod ostalih cjepiva protiv covida-19 stvorenih na bazi adenovirusa", smatra Hotez.

Znanstvenici istražuju nekoliko mogućnosti koje bi mogle objasniti najmanje 18 izvještaja o iznimno rijetkoj pojavi krvnih ugrušaka u mozgu pojedinaca u danima i tjednima nakon što su dobili cjepivo protiv covida tvrtke AstraZenece.

Europski istražitelji iznijeli su teoriju po kojoj cjepivo u rijetkim slučajevima potiče na proizvodnju neuobičajenih antitijela, dok drugi nastoje shvatiti jesu li ti slučajevi povezani s uzimanjem kontracepcijskih pilula.

No mnogi znanstvenici kažu da zasad nema definitivnih dokaza te da nije jasno uzrokuje li i zbog čega cjepivo AstraZenece problem koji se ne zamjećuje kod drugih sličnih cjepiva protiv covida, koja ciljaju sličan dio koronavirusa.

Rijetka pojava krvnih ugrušaka uglavnom je otkrivena među ženskom populacijom, a većina slučajeva evidentirana je u Europi. U Indiji su zabilježena dva slučaja.

Cerebralna venska sinusna tromboza

Europska agencija za lijekove priopćila je da preliminarno istraživanje upućuje na to da cjepivo nije povezano s povećanim sveukupnim rizikom od nastanka krvnih ugrušaka, no istodobno nije isključila povezanost s rizikom od rijetkih slučajeva pojave krvnih ugrušaka u žilama kojima se krv odvodi iz mozga, u medicini poznatih kao cerebralna venska sinusna tromboza (CVST).

Znanstvenici iz Njemačke i Norveške, dviju zemalja u kojima su evidentirani neki od slučajeva CVST-a ovaj su tjedan iznijeli pretpostavku po kojoj bi cjepivo moglo pokrenuti imunosni odgovor tijekom kojega organizam proizvodi antitijela koja mogu rezultirati nastankom krvnih ugrušaka.

Profesor Paal Andre Holme iz norveške Sveučilišne bolnice u Oslu, koji je liječio troje svojih kolega, zdravstvenih radnika s teškim oblikom krvnih ugrušaka, nakon što su primili cjepivo AstraZenece, u četvrtak je na konferenciji za novinare rekao da su znanstvenici došli do otkrića koja bi mogla otkriti što se dogodilo s tim pacijentima. 

Upozorio je da su nalazi preliminarni. "Ovo je tek početak svih istraživanja koja provodimo", rekao je, ne objavivši informacije koje bi išle u prilog njegovoj hipotezi.

I grupa njemačkih stručnjaka Sveučilišne klinike Greifswald u petak je izvijestila da su njihovi istraživači došli do sličnog zaključka. Ako se on pokaže točnim, možda postoji način da se ovakvo stanje liječi, rekli su znanstvenici.
EMA provodi nekoliko istraga 

Stručnjaci EMA-e u četvrtak su izvijestili da provode nekoliko istraga nastojeći utvrditi je li rijetka pojava krvnih ugrušaka u nekih pojedinaca povezana s cjepivom ili oni slučajno nastaju. Zamijetili su da se ugrušci češće pojavljuju kod mlađih žena.
Cerebralna venska sinusna tromboza, premda rijetka, povezuje se s trudnoćom i korištenjem oralnih kontraceptiva. "To je jedna od stvari koju ćemo u skoroj budućnosti dodatno istražiti", rekla je Sabine Straus, predsjednica EMA-inog Odbora za sigurnost lijekova.

EMA kani istražiti i jesu li se osobe kod kojih se razvilo spomenuto stanje koronavirusom zarazile ranije ili u vrijeme kad su cijepljene cjepivom protiv covida, jer to može prouzročiti nastanak ugrušaka.

Neki američki stručnjaci za cjepivo i dalje su oprezni u pogledu hipoteze o antitijelima te tvrde da bi velik publicitet koji prati ove događaje mogao utjecati na to da kliničari češće nego što je uobičajeno izvješćuju o ovom stanju među pacijentima, zbog čega se čini da su ona povezana s cijepljenjem, odnosno cjepivom.

Zašto je problem AstraZeneca, a ne i ostala slična cjepiva na bazi adenovirusa?

Cjepivo AstraZeneca dobilo je odobrenje za hitnu upotrebu u 70 zemalja, no u Sjedinjenim Državama još nije odobreno.

Američki stručnjaci pitaju se zbog čega bi se više krvnih ugrušaka javljalo samo među pacijentima cijepljenim AstraZenecinim cjepivom, a ne i cjepivima Pfizera i BioNTecha, Moderne, Johnson&Johnsona ili ruskog Sputnjika V.

Dodaju da sva navedena cjepiva proizvode antitijela koja ciljaju na šiljak što ga koronavirus koristi za prodor u stanicu.
Poput J&J ili cjepiva Sputnjik, i AstraZeneca koristi nereplicirajući adenovirus prehlade da bi omogućio šiljcima proteina prodor u stanicu te stvaranje imunosnog odgovora.

"Nakon što njemački i norveški znanstvenici predaju svoje recenzirane publikacije, znanstvena zajednica moći će ih proučiti", rekao je dr. Peter Hotez, istraživač cjepiva na Medicinskom fakultetu Baylor u Houstonu. "Nema razloga da se ovo događa u slučaju AstraZenecina cjepiva, a ne i kod ostalih cjepiva protiv covida-19 stvorenih na bazi adenovirusa", smatra Hotez.

Znanstvenici istražuju nove hipoteze o povezanosti cjepiva AstraZenece s krvnim ugrušcima

Znanstvenici istražuju nekoliko mogućnosti koje bi mogle objasniti najmanje 18 izvještaja o iznimno rijetkoj pojavi krvnih ugrušaka u mozgu pojedinaca u danima i tjednima nakon što su dobili cjepivo protiv covida tvrtke AstraZenece.

Europski istražitelji iznijeli su teoriju po kojoj cjepivo u rijetkim slučajevima potiče na proizvodnju neuobičajenih antitijela, dok drugi nastoje shvatiti jesu li ti slučajevi povezani s uzimanjem kontracepcijskih pilula.

No mnogi znanstvenici kažu da zasad nema definitivnih dokaza te da nije jasno uzrokuje li i zbog čega cjepivo AstraZenece problem koji se ne zamjećuje kod drugih sličnih cjepiva protiv covida, koja ciljaju sličan dio koronavirusa.
