Američke zalihe streljiva radikalno su iscrpljene isporukama Ukrajini. Pentagon sada užurbano traži nove proizvođače granata namijenjene haubicama od 155 milimetara za tegljene topove M777. Vojska je pokrenula masovno istraživanje tržišta kako bi identificirali američke i kanadske tvrtke koje mogu proizvesti i do 12.000 visokoeksplozivnih granata mjesečno. Riječ je o standardnim granatama M795 kojima se masovno opskrbljuju ukrajinske snage. Pentagon strahuje da američke zalihe streljiva dosežu opasno niske razine, piše Jutarnji list. 

No, dok rusko-ukrajinski rat u suštini postaje borba između suparničkog topništva - koje se pokazalo kao dominantno oružje na fronti - Kijev će sigurno zahtijevati i više granata, posebice osokoljeni recentnim ratnim pobjedama. Od potencijalnih proizvođača traži se isporuka "predviđene mjesečne proizvodnje od 12.000 projektila mjesečno i iskustvo u proizvodnji ovog ili sličnog artikla u prošlosti".

Vlada bi osigurala "metalne dijelove projektila, rotirajuće poklopce za trake, drvene palete, čepove za podizanje, eksploziv IMX-101 i dodatna punjenja TNT/PBXN-9." Međutim, izvođač bi trebao sam nabaviti "bulk TNT".

Podsjećamo da je 2012. godine američka vojska namjeravala smanjiti financiranje proizvodnje granata od 155 milimetara. A onda su zakonodavci nedavno odobrili novih 600 milijuna dolara Zakonom o obrambenoj proizvodnji kojim se sada planira proširenje američkih kapaciteta za proizvodnju granata i projektila. Nije jasno koliko granata Pentagon namjerava proizvesti tj. koliko bi se vremenski dugo nove granate trebale proizvoditi.

Također, združeno zapovjedništvo američke vojske ne želi reći je li ispitivanje tržišta namijenjeno proširenju proizvodnje granata ili samo identificiranju novih proizvođača.

Inače, kako navodi američka obrambena tvrtka General Dynamics, M795 može se "upotrijebiti protiv osoblja, kamiona, elektroničkog nadzora, uređaja za pronalaženje ciljeva, opskrbnih točaka, zapovjednih, kontrolnih i komunikacijskih instalacija te mehaniziranih i oklopnih snaga." Ima domet od oko 22 kilometra. Razlika u dometu pokazala se posebno važnom u Ukrajinskom ratu, gdje strana s topništvom većeg dometa može uništiti neprijateljske topove dok ostaje na sigurnom izvan dometa vatre za odmazdu.

Inače, SAD nisu jedine koje imaju problema sa streljivom. Kanada je također isporučila granate od 155 milimetara Ukrajini i sada traži od Južne Koreje pomoć u obnovi zaliha.

Američke zalihe streljiva radikalno su iscrpljene isporukama Ukrajini. Pentagon sada užurbano traži nove proizvođače granata namijenjene haubicama od 155 milimetara za tegljene topove M777. Vojska je pokrenula masovno istraživanje tržišta kako bi identificirali američke i kanadske tvrtke koje mogu proizvesti i do 12.000 visokoeksplozivnih granata mjesečno. Riječ je o standardnim granatama M795 kojima se masovno opskrbljuju ukrajinske snage. Pentagon strahuje da američke zalihe streljiva dosežu opasno niske razine, piše Jutarnji list. 

No, dok rusko-ukrajinski rat u suštini postaje borba između suparničkog topništva - koje se pokazalo kao dominantno oružje na fronti - Kijev će sigurno zahtijevati i više granata, posebice osokoljeni recentnim ratnim pobjedama. Već su u lipnju ispaljivali 6000 granata dnevno, piše Business Insider.

Od potencijalnih proizvođača traži se isporuka "predviđene mjesečne proizvodnje od 12.000 projektila mjesečno i iskustvo u proizvodnji ovog ili sličnog artikla u prošlosti".

Vlada bi osigurala "metalne dijelove projektila, rotirajuće poklopce za trake, drvene palete, čepove za podizanje, eksploziv IMX-101 i dodatna punjenja TNT/PBXN-9." Međutim, izvođač bi trebao sam nabaviti "bulk TNT".

Podsjećamo da je 2012. godine američka vojska namjeravala smanjiti financiranje proizvodnje granata od 155 milimetara. A onda su zakonodavci nedavno odobrili novih 600 milijuna dolara Zakonom o obrambenoj proizvodnji kojim se sada planira proširenje američkih kapaciteta za proizvodnju granata i projektila. Nije jasno koliko granata Pentagon namjerava proizvesti tj. koliko bi se vremenski dugo nove granate trebale proizvoditi.

Također, združeno zapovjedništvo američke vojske ne želi reći je li ispitivanje tržišta namijenjeno proširenju proizvodnje granata ili samo identificiranju novih proizvođača.

Inače, kako navodi američka obrambena tvrtka General Dynamics, M795 može se "upotrijebiti protiv osoblja, kamiona, elektroničkog nadzora, uređaja za pronalaženje ciljeva, opskrbnih točaka, zapovjednih, kontrolnih i komunikacijskih instalacija te mehaniziranih i oklopnih snaga." Ima domet od oko 22 kilometra. Razlika u dometu pokazala se posebno važnom u Ukrajinskom ratu, gdje strana s topništvom većeg dometa može uništiti neprijateljske topove dok ostaje na sigurnom izvan dometa vatre za odmazdu.

Inače, SAD nisu jedine koje imaju problema sa streljivom. Kanada je također isporučila granate od 155 milimetara Ukrajini i sada traži od Južne Koreje pomoć u obnovi zaliha.

Američke zalihe streljiva radikalno su iscrpljene isporukama Ukrajini. Pentagon sada užurbano traži nove proizvođače granata namijenjene haubicama od 155 milimetara za tegljene topove M777. Vojska je pokrenula masovno istraživanje tržišta kako bi identificirali američke i kanadske tvrtke koje mogu proizvesti i do 12.000 visokoeksplozivnih granata mjesečno. Riječ je o standardnim granatama M795 kojima se masovno opskrbljuju ukrajinske snage. Pentagon strahuje da američke zalihe streljiva dosežu opasno niske razine, piše Jutarnji list.
