Engleska vladina agencija odgovorna za rješavanje hitnih slučajeva u javnom zdravstvu rekla je da su zbog pogreške u laboratoriju za testiranje deseci tisuća ljudi pozitivnih na covid pogrešno obaviješteni da su negativni, zbog čega je možda umrlo oko 20 ljudi.

Britanija ima jedan od najvećih brojeva umrlih od koronavirusa u svijetu - više od 177.000 - od početka pandemije 2020. godine.
Mnogi su stručnjaci rekli da je program praćenja kontakata daleko ispod "svjetskog" sustava koji je vlada obećala.

Istraga britanske Agencije za zdravstvenu sigurnost (UKHSA) otkrila je da je laboratorij Immensa u središnjoj Engleskoj pogrešno prijavio oko 39.000 testova kao negativne, premda su trebali biti pozitivni između 2. rujna i 12. listopada prošle godine.

Uzrok pogrešaka bilo je netočno postavljanje razina praga za prijavu pozitivnih i negativnih rezultata PCR uzoraka za covid-19, navodi UKHSA u izvješću nakon završetka istrage.

Kao rezultat toga, mnogi su nastavili sa svojim svakodnevnim životom i nisu se samoizolirali premda su imali covid.

UKHSA je rekla da su pogreške mogle rezultirati s do čak 55.000 dodatnih zaraza u područjima gdje su prijavljeni lažni negativni rezultati.

Immensa Health Clinic, privatna tvrtka koja vodi laboratorij, osnovana je u svibnju 2020. godine i dobila je ugovore vrijedne 203,63 milijuna dolara za obradu rezultata PCR testova.

Dante Labs, vlasnici Immense, nisu odmah odgovorili na zahtjev za komentar.

"U ovoj istrazi pomno smo proučili postojeće aranžmane za nadzor ugovora privatnih laboratorija koji tijekom tog vremena rade hitna testiranja", rekao je Richard Gleave, direktor UKHSA-e i glavni istražitelj.

"Nije bilo ni jednog postupka koji bi NHS Test and Trace mogao poduzeti na drukčiji način kako bi spriječio pojavu te pogreške u privatnom laboratoriju. Međutim, naše izvješće iznosi jasne preporuke kako bi se smanjio rizik od ponavljanja takvih incidenata", navodi se.

Engleska vladina agencija odgovorna za rješavanje hitnih slučajeva u javnom zdravstvu rekla je da su zbog pogreške u laboratoriju za testiranje deseci tisuća ljudi pozitivnih na covid pogrešno obaviješteni da su negativni, zbog čega je možda umrlo oko 20 ljudi.

Britanija ima jedan od najvećih brojeva umrlih od koronavirusa u svijetu - više od 177.000 - od početka pandemije 2020. godine.
Mnogi su stručnjaci rekli da je program praćenja kontakata daleko ispod "svjetskog" sustava koji je vlada obećala.

Istraga britanske Agencije za zdravstvenu sigurnost (UKHSA) otkrila je da je laboratorij Immensa u središnjoj Engleskoj pogrešno prijavio oko 39.000 testova kao negativne, premda su trebali biti pozitivni između 2. rujna i 12. listopada prošle godine.

Uzrok pogrešaka bilo je netočno postavljanje razina praga za prijavu pozitivnih i negativnih rezultata PCR uzoraka za covid-19, navodi UKHSA u izvješću nakon završetka istrage.

Kao rezultat toga, mnogi su nastavili sa svojim svakodnevnim životom i nisu se samoizolirali premda su imali covid.

UKHSA je rekla da su pogreške mogle rezultirati s do čak 55.000 dodatnih zaraza u područjima gdje su prijavljeni lažni negativni rezultati.

Immensa Health Clinic, privatna tvrtka koja vodi laboratorij, osnovana je u svibnju 2020. godine i dobila je ugovore vrijedne 203,63 milijuna dolara za obradu rezultata PCR testova.

Dante Labs, vlasnici Immense, nisu odmah odgovorili na zahtjev za komentar.

"U ovoj istrazi pomno smo proučili postojeće aranžmane za nadzor ugovora privatnih laboratorija koji tijekom tog vremena rade hitna testiranja", rekao je Richard Gleave, direktor UKHSA-e i glavni istražitelj.

"Nije bilo ni jednog postupka koji bi NHS Test and Trace mogao poduzeti na drukčiji način kako bi spriječio pojavu te pogreške u privatnom laboratoriju. Međutim, naše izvješće iznosi jasne preporuke kako bi se smanjio rizik od ponavljanja takvih incidenata", navodi se.

Engleska vladina agencija odgovorna za rješavanje hitnih slučajeva u javnom zdravstvu rekla je da su zbog pogreške u laboratoriju za testiranje deseci tisuća ljudi pozitivnih na covid pogrešno obaviješteni da su negativni, zbog čega je možda umrlo oko 20 ljudi.

Britanija ima jedan od najvećih brojeva umrlih od koronavirusa u svijetu - više od 177.000 - od početka pandemije 2020. godine.
Mnogi su stručnjaci rekli da je program praćenja kontakata daleko ispod "svjetskog" sustava koji je vlada obećala.

Istraga britanske Agencije za zdravstvenu sigurnost (UKHSA) otkrila je da je laboratorij Immensa u središnjoj Engleskoj pogrešno prijavio oko 39.000 testova kao negativne, premda su trebali biti pozitivni između 2. rujna i 12. listopada prošle godine.
