Glavni je problem s Rusijom, upozoravao je davno još  Vaclav Havel, što nikad ne znate gdje ona završava.

I kad vam Rusija prizna i potvrdi državne granice, kao što je slučaj s ukrajinskima koje je, uključujući cijeli Krim, prihvatila i ratificirala još 'Velikim ugovorom' iz 1997. godine, nikad zapravo ne znate kad se neki nasilnik u Kremlju može naknadno oko svega predomisliti i pokušati ih iznova prekrojiti oružjem.

Istinitost svojedobnog Havelova cinizma zrcali se i u Putinovu nedavnom napadu na nekadašnjega sovjetskog vođu Nikitu Hruščova. Hruščov je, po Putinu, glavni krivac zato što je 'vjekovno ruski Krim' svojedobno poklonjen Ukrajini.

Jedan od najvećih sovjetskih vođa, tihih reformatora i ispravljača brojnih 'krivih Drina' iza staljinističke ere bio je sin ruskoga rudara, ali s dubokim ukrajinskim vezama. Nikita Sergejevič Hruščov odrastao je u pograničnom području s Ukrajinom kao siromašni seljačić koji se naknadno školovao za bravara. Koncem revolucije je pristupio boljševičkoj partiji i kao crvenoarmejac sudjelovao u borbama protiv belogardejaca i poljske vojske. Poslije je postao profesionalni partijski funkcioner baš u danas aktualnome Donjecku, gdje je imenovan sekretarom CK Komunističke partije Ukrajine. Naknadno je završio Industrijsku akademiju u Moskvi, te potom strelovito napredovao, sve do Staljinova Politbiroa.

U Drugom svjetskom ratu bio je vojni i politički rukovodilac; a komesarski je rukovodio, čime se jako ponosio, i obranom Staljingrada. Od 1947. bio je predsjednik ukrajinske republičke vlade, gdje se najviše bavio razvojem poljoprivrede. Staljin ga je 1949. vratio u Moskvu, gdje je postao prvi sekretar tamošnjega komiteta.

Nakon Staljinove smrti upravo je legendaran način na koji je Hruščov spriječio nastavak staljinizma drugim sredstvima, eliminirajući zloglasnoga Lavrentija Beriju s povijesne pozornice. Kao šef NKVD-a, zloglasne tajne policije odgovorne za smaknuća i progone u Sibir stotina tisuća po Staljinovom nalogu, ali i kao šef sovjetskog nuklearnog programa, Berija je nakon diktatorove smrti naumio još više povećati moć tajne policije i defakto preuzeti državu. Hruščov ga je kao tadašnji šef partije iznenadio i uspio eliminirati prije nego je ovaj uspio napasti njega. Osudili su Beriju kao organizatora brutalnih represija i kao britanskog špijuna, te je on ubrzo smaknut.

 Time je Hruščov otvorio dugo razdoblje destaljinizacije u SSSR-u u kojemu su na tisuće političkih zatvorenika pušteni iz zatvora i rehabilitirani, a to je pokrenulo i antistaljinistička gibanja u drugim socijalističkim državama. Hruščov je osobno zatoplio i odnose s Titovom Jugoslavijom, nakon godina neprijateljstava i gotovo ratnog stanja zbog Rezolucije Informbiroa. Izazvao je, doduše, naknadno i međunarodne osude intervencijom u Mađarskoj 1956., ali je zato uspješno vodio mirovnu politiku tijekom napete kubanske krize 1962.: mnogi su uvjereni da bi svijet tad bio sigurno završio u nuklearnom sukobu da za kormilima dvaju suprotstavljenih blokova nisu bili Hruščov i John F. Kennedy.

 Hruščov je izvana bio prilično sirov i neuglađen, no i iznimno taktičan i lukav čovjek. Mnogi ga pamte po antologijskoj sceni lupanja cipelom po govornici tijekom obraćanja Ujedinjenim narodima. Usred Hladnog rata 1960. Hruščova je jako naljutio govor filipinskog delegata koji je napao SSSR zbog kolonijalističke politike, što je obično bio sovjetski 'patent' za kritiku zapada i SAD-a. U tom trenutku Hruščov je navodno s noge skinuo desnu cipelu i, replicirajući Filipincu, žestoko s njom mlatio po govornici.

 Unuka nekadašnjeg sovjetskog vođe Nikite Hruščova dala je prije par dana intervju britanskom Independentu. Nina Hruščov, koja je stručnjakinja za međunarodne odnose i danas živi u SAD-u, kazala je kako bi njezin djed bio duboko posramljen da vidi kako Rusi danas napadaju Ukrajince, naciju koju je on smatrao 'rođenom braćom'.

'Djed bi s prezirom gledao kako ruske trupe napadaju Kijev, grad koji je on obnavljao iz ruševina nakon Drugog svjetskog rata', kazala je Nina Hruščov. Odluku Vladimira Putina da krene u invaziju na Ukrajinu nazvala je 'orvelijanskim potezom' za kojega nitko ne može shvatiti ni čemu služi ni što Putin zapravo želi. Kao autorica niza knjiga o Putinu i Rusiji, Hruščovljeva unuka smatra da Zapad nije dobro reagirao na krizu u Ukrajini, ali Putina ipak smatra jedinim odgovornim za brutalnu agresiju.

Glavni je problem s Rusijom, upozoravao je davno još  Vaclav Havel, što nikad ne znate gdje ona završava.

I kad vam Rusija prizna i potvrdi državne granice, kao što je slučaj s ukrajinskima koje je, uključujući cijeli Krim, prihvatila i ratificirala još 'Velikim ugovorom' iz 1997. godine, nikad zapravo ne znate kad se neki nasilnik u Kremlju može naknadno oko svega predomisliti i pokušati ih iznova prekrojiti oružjem.

Istinitost svojedobnog Havelova cinizma zrcali se i u Putinovu nedavnom napadu na nekadašnjega sovjetskog vođu Nikitu Hruščova. Hruščov je, po Putinu, glavni krivac zato što je 'vjekovno ruski Krim' svojedobno poklonjen Ukrajini.

Jedan od najvećih sovjetskih vođa, tihih reformatora i ispravljača brojnih 'krivih Drina' iza staljinističke ere bio je sin ruskoga rudara, ali s dubokim ukrajinskim vezama. Nikita Sergejevič Hruščov odrastao je u pograničnom području s Ukrajinom kao siromašni seljačić koji se naknadno školovao za bravara. Koncem revolucije je pristupio boljševičkoj partiji i kao crvenoarmejac sudjelovao u borbama protiv belogardejaca i poljske vojske. Poslije je postao profesionalni partijski funkcioner baš u danas aktualnome Donjecku, gdje je imenovan sekretarom CK Komunističke partije Ukrajine. Naknadno je završio Industrijsku akademiju u Moskvi, te potom strelovito napredovao, sve do Staljinova Politbiroa.

U Drugom svjetskom ratu bio je vojni i politički rukovodilac; a komesarski je rukovodio, čime se jako ponosio, i obranom Staljingrada. Od 1947. bio je predsjednik ukrajinske republičke vlade, gdje se najviše bavio razvojem poljoprivrede. Staljin ga je 1949. vratio u Moskvu, gdje je postao prvi sekretar tamošnjega komiteta.

Nakon Staljinove smrti upravo je legendaran način na koji je Hruščov spriječio nastavak staljinizma drugim sredstvima, eliminirajući zloglasnoga Lavrentija Beriju s povijesne pozornice. Kao šef NKVD-a, zloglasne tajne policije odgovorne za smaknuća i progone u Sibir stotina tisuća po Staljinovom nalogu, ali i kao šef sovjetskog nuklearnog programa, Berija je nakon diktatorove smrti naumio još više povećati moć tajne policije i defakto preuzeti državu. Hruščov ga je kao tadašnji šef partije iznenadio i uspio eliminirati prije nego je ovaj uspio napasti njega. Osudili su Beriju kao organizatora brutalnih represija i kao britanskog špijuna, te je on ubrzo smaknut.

 Time je Hruščov otvorio dugo razdoblje destaljinizacije u SSSR-u u kojemu su na tisuće političkih zatvorenika pušteni iz zatvora i rehabilitirani, a to je pokrenulo i antistaljinistička gibanja u drugim socijalističkim državama. Hruščov je osobno zatoplio i odnose s Titovom Jugoslavijom, nakon godina neprijateljstava i gotovo ratnog stanja zbog Rezolucije Informbiroa. Izazvao je, doduše, naknadno i međunarodne osude intervencijom u Mađarskoj 1956., ali je zato uspješno vodio mirovnu politiku tijekom napete kubanske krize 1962.: mnogi su uvjereni da bi svijet tad bio sigurno završio u nuklearnom sukobu da za kormilima dvaju suprotstavljenih blokova nisu bili Hruščov i John F. Kennedy.

 Hruščov je izvana bio prilično sirov i neuglađen, no i iznimno taktičan i lukav čovjek. Mnogi ga pamte po antologijskoj sceni lupanja cipelom po govornici tijekom obraćanja Ujedinjenim narodima. Usred Hladnog rata 1960. Hruščova je jako naljutio govor filipinskog delegata koji je napao SSSR zbog kolonijalističke politike, što je obično bio sovjetski 'patent' za kritiku zapada i SAD-a. U tom trenutku Hruščov je navodno s noge skinuo desnu cipelu i, replicirajući Filipincu, žestoko s njom mlatio po govornici.

 Unuka nekadašnjeg sovjetskog vođe Nikite Hruščova dala je prije par dana intervju britanskom Independentu. Nina Hruščov, koja je stručnjakinja za međunarodne odnose i danas živi u SAD-u, kazala je kako bi njezin djed bio duboko posramljen da vidi kako Rusi danas napadaju Ukrajince, naciju koju je on smatrao 'rođenom braćom'.

'Djed bi s prezirom gledao kako ruske trupe napadaju Kijev, grad koji je on obnavljao iz ruševina nakon Drugog svjetskog rata', kazala je Nina Hruščov. Odluku Vladimira Putina da krene u invaziju na Ukrajinu nazvala je 'orvelijanskim potezom' za kojega nitko ne može shvatiti ni čemu služi ni što Putin zapravo želi. Kao autorica niza knjiga o Putinu i Rusiji, Hruščovljeva unuka smatra da Zapad nije dobro reagirao na krizu u Ukrajini, ali Putina ipak smatra jedinim odgovornim za brutalnu agresiju.
