Trideset i četvero ljudi poginulo je u središnjoj Keniji kada je njihov autobus sletio s mosta i pao u riječnu dolinu, izvijestili su lokalni mediji u ponedjeljak.

Listovi Daily Nation i Standard izvijestili su da se nesreća dogodila u nedjelju navečer u okrugu Tharaka Nithi, kada je autobus koji je vozio prema lučkom gradu Mombasi skrenuo s mosta i pao u dolinu duboku 40 metara.

"Poginulo je 14 žena, 18 muškaraca i dvije mlade djevojke, tako da je zasad ukupno 34 žrtava. Spasili smo 11 ljudi koji su na liječenju u bolnici", rekao je povjerenik okruga Tharaka Nithi Nobert Komora za kenijsku televiziju NTV u blizini mjesta nesreće.

Nation je prenio da je Komora rekao kako početna istraga upućuje na to da su možda otkazale kočnice autobusa, zbog čega vozač nije uspio pravilno skrenuti na oštrom zavoju.

Nacionalna uprava za promet i sigurnost, kenijski regulator prometa, naredila je svim autobusima koji pripadaju istoj kompaniji Modern Coast da obustave rad dok se ne završi istraga o nesreći.

Podaci državnog ureda za statistiku pokazuju da je 2021. u Keniji u prometnim nesrećama poginulo 4579 ljudi, 15 posto više nego godinu prije.

Trideset i četvero ljudi poginulo je u središnjoj Keniji kada je njihov autobus sletio s mosta i pao u riječnu dolinu, izvijestili su lokalni mediji u ponedjeljak.

Listovi Daily Nation i Standard izvijestili su da se nesreća dogodila u nedjelju navečer u okrugu Tharaka Nithi, kada je autobus koji je vozio prema lučkom gradu Mombasi skrenuo s mosta i pao u dolinu duboku 40 metara.

"Poginulo je 14 žena, 18 muškaraca i dvije mlade djevojke, tako da je zasad ukupno 34 žrtava. Spasili smo 11 ljudi koji su na liječenju u bolnici", rekao je povjerenik okruga Tharaka Nithi Nobert Komora za kenijsku televiziju NTV u blizini mjesta nesreće.

Nation je prenio da je Komora rekao kako početna istraga upućuje na to da su možda otkazale kočnice autobusa, zbog čega vozač nije uspio pravilno skrenuti na oštrom zavoju.

Nacionalna uprava za promet i sigurnost, kenijski regulator prometa, naredila je svim autobusima koji pripadaju istoj kompaniji Modern Coast da obustave rad dok se ne završi istraga o nesreći.

Podaci državnog ureda za statistiku pokazuju da je 2021. u Keniji u prometnim nesrećama poginulo 4579 ljudi, 15 posto više nego godinu prije.

Velika tragedija u Keniji: 34 osobe poginule u autobusnoj nesreći

Trideset i četvero ljudi poginulo je u središnjoj Keniji kada je njihov autobus sletio s mosta i pao u riječnu dolinu, izvijestili su lokalni mediji u ponedjeljak.

Listovi Daily Nation i Standard izvijestili su da se nesreća dogodila u nedjelju navečer u okrugu Tharaka Nithi, kada je autobus koji je vozio prema lučkom gradu Mombasi skrenuo s mosta i pao u dolinu duboku 40 metara.

"Poginulo je 14 žena, 18 muškaraca i dvije mlade djevojke, tako da je zasad ukupno 34 žrtava. Spasili smo 11 ljudi koji su na liječenju u bolnici", rekao je povjerenik okruga Tharaka Nithi Nobert Komora za kenijsku televiziju NTV u blizini mjesta nesreće.
