Žena koju je s četiri godine oteo bračni par nomada napokon se, nakon 53 godine, ponovno ujedinila sa svojom biološkom obitelji.

Susan Gervaise (57) je odvedena od svoje biološke obitelji iz Pontefracta u zapadnom Yorkshireu 1969. godine. Naime, par iz Škotske predložio je njezinoj majci da će ju sa sobom povesti u Disneyland, nakon čega su je prema dogovoru trebali vratiti kući. Međutim, ovaj par dobio je Susanin rodni list, pomoću kojega su je mogli povesti sa sobom u Kanadu, Australiju i kasnije Novi Zeland. Od dana kada su je odveli, Susan su odgajali kao vlastitu kćer.

Susan, sada baka četvero djece živi u Australiji, a kao dijete 1969. živjela je u starom župničkom dvoru na putničkom mjestu Pontefractu, u Zapadnom Yorkshireu. Par koji ju je oteo upoznala je upravo tamo.

- Kao dijete često sam sa svojih šestero braće i sestara živjela u starom župnom domu na putničkoj stanici. Naša mama je bila sama. Na putničkoj stanici sam se sprijateljila s parom koji je bio iz Škotske. Žena, koju ja sada zovem svojom mamom bolovala je od multiple skleroze, a s mužem je imala dva sina, prepričala je Susan.

- Mislim da su htjeli djevojčicu. Pitali su moju mamu mogu li me odvesti u Disney i ona im je dala moj rodni list kako bi me mogli dodati u svoju putovnicu. U to je vrijeme dijete moglo putovati u inozemstvo uz rodni list i dopuštenje roditelja, dodala je.

Umjesto toga, ova je obitelj njezino ime dodala u putovnicu svoje obitelji, kako bi im se mogla pridružiti u inozemstvu.

- Odveli su me u Kanadu, potom u Australiju i kasnije u Novi Zeland. To je oduvijek bio njihov plan. Živjela sam u nomadskoj zajednici, život mi je bio zabavan i smatrala sam se razmaženom. Moja je "mama" umrla od multiple skleroze kad sam imala 10 godina, ali čak i tada, budući da sam odrasla u velikoj zajednici, bila sam jako voljena.

- Uvijek sam bila sretna dok sam odrastala. Proputovala sam svijet, pohvalila se gospođa Gervaise, koja je istinu saznala tek sa 16 godina, kada je trebala putovnicu za povratak u Australiju s Novog Zelanda.

- Otišli smo u Novi Zeland i za povratak u Australiju mi je trebala putovnica. Prijavila sam se, ali mi je trebao potpis majke ili oca - tada mi je tata rekao da me oni nisu posvojili, već oteli, rekla je Susan za The Wakefield Express.

Gospođa Gervaise morala je čekati do svoje 18. godine da podnese zahtjev za izdavanje putovnice za odrasle te se u Australiju vratila s 19 godina. Tamo je upoznala svog muža s kojim je kasnije dobila troje djece i četvero unučadi. "Otac" joj je umro kada je imala 21 godinu.

- Tek kad me netko tko je posvojen pitao kako bi se osjećala moja obitelj u Ujedinjenom Kraljevstvu, upalila mi se žaruljica, priznala je. Tada je njezin suprug pokrenuo potragu na Facebooku, a Susanina je obitelj locirana već 30 minuta nakon. Sva njezina braća i sestre još su bili živi i svi osim jednog živjeli su u okolici Pontefracta. Susan ih je odlučila posjetiti za vrijeme svog 57. rođendana kako bi ga s njima mogla i proslaviti.

- Kada sam prvi put razgovarala sa svojom obitelji, histerično su plakali jer sam živa, prepričala je njihov ponovni susret za medije.

 - Do danas ne znamo zašto policija nikada nije bila uključena. Mislim da je to zato što im je moja mama dala dopuštenje da me odvedu i činjenice da smo ja i moja braća i sestre često bili u domu. Tijekom godina bilo je nekoliko žalbi na Zavodu za nestale osobe, a moja se mama stalno vraćala na putničko mjesto, čak i nakon što se odselila, kako bi me našla, rekla je Susan za The Wakefield Express.

Nažalost, Susan se nikada više neće susresti sa svojom biološkom majkom, jer je ona umrla prije osam godina, ne znajući da joj je kći na sigurnom.

- Pričalo se da je Susanina majka nju tražila godinama, ali bezuspješno. Nakon njezine smrti bilo je toliko neodgovorenih pitanja. Nikad nismo mislili da će se ovo dogoditi. Bilo je nevjerojatno - posebno za moju mamu. Ona ima Parkinsonovu bolest i demenciju pa je dobro da se prije pogoršanja zdravstvenog stanja ponovno susrela sa svojom sestrom, rekla je nećakinja gospođe Gervaise, Emma McFadyen.

- Neka ovo bude poruka svima koji su izgubili nekoga. Čuda se događaju, ima nade, poručila je za kraj Gospođa Gervaise.

Žena koju je s četiri godine oteo bračni par nomada napokon se, nakon 53 godine, ponovno ujedinila sa svojom biološkom obitelji.

Susan Gervaise (57) je odvedena od svoje biološke obitelji iz Pontefracta u zapadnom Yorkshireu 1969. godine. Naime, par iz Škotske predložio je njezinoj majci da će ju sa sobom povesti u Disneyland, nakon čega su je prema dogovoru trebali vratiti kući. Međutim, ovaj par dobio je Susanin rodni list, pomoću kojega su je mogli povesti sa sobom u Kanadu, Australiju i kasnije Novi Zeland. Od dana kada su je odveli, Susan su odgajali kao vlastitu kćer.

Susan, sada baka četvero djece živi u Australiji, a kao dijete 1969. živjela je u starom župničkom dvoru na putničkom mjestu Pontefractu, u Zapadnom Yorkshireu. Par koji ju je oteo upoznala je upravo tamo.

- Kao dijete često sam sa svojih šestero braće i sestara živjela u starom župnom domu na putničkoj stanici. Naša mama je bila sama. Na putničkoj stanici sam se sprijateljila s parom koji je bio iz Škotske. Žena, koju ja sada zovem svojom mamom bolovala je od multiple skleroze, a s mužem je imala dva sina, prepričala je Susan.

- Mislim da su htjeli djevojčicu. Pitali su moju mamu mogu li me odvesti u Disney i ona im je dala moj rodni list kako bi me mogli dodati u svoju putovnicu. U to je vrijeme dijete moglo putovati u inozemstvo uz rodni list i dopuštenje roditelja, dodala je.

Umjesto toga, ova je obitelj njezino ime dodala u putovnicu svoje obitelji, kako bi im se mogla pridružiti u inozemstvu.

- Odveli su me u Kanadu, potom u Australiju i kasnije u Novi Zeland. To je oduvijek bio njihov plan. Živjela sam u nomadskoj zajednici, život mi je bio zabavan i smatrala sam se razmaženom. Moja je "mama" umrla od multiple skleroze kad sam imala 10 godina, ali čak i tada, budući da sam odrasla u velikoj zajednici, bila sam jako voljena.

- Uvijek sam bila sretna dok sam odrastala. Proputovala sam svijet, pohvalila se gospođa Gervaise, koja je istinu saznala tek sa 16 godina, kada je trebala putovnicu za povratak u Australiju s Novog Zelanda.

- Otišli smo u Novi Zeland i za povratak u Australiju mi je trebala putovnica. Prijavila sam se, ali mi je trebao potpis majke ili oca - tada mi je tata rekao da me oni nisu posvojili, već oteli, rekla je Susan za The Wakefield Express.

Gospođa Gervaise morala je čekati do svoje 18. godine da podnese zahtjev za izdavanje putovnice za odrasle te se u Australiju vratila s 19 godina. Tamo je upoznala svog muža s kojim je kasnije dobila troje djece i četvero unučadi. "Otac" joj je umro kada je imala 21 godinu.

- Tek kad me netko tko je posvojen pitao kako bi se osjećala moja obitelj u Ujedinjenom Kraljevstvu, upalila mi se žaruljica, priznala je. Tada je njezin suprug pokrenuo potragu na Facebooku, a Susanina je obitelj locirana već 30 minuta nakon. Sva njezina braća i sestre još su bili živi i svi osim jednog živjeli su u okolici Pontefracta. Susan ih je odlučila posjetiti za vrijeme svog 57. rođendana kako bi ga s njima mogla i proslaviti.

- Kada sam prvi put razgovarala sa svojom obitelji, histerično su plakali jer sam živa, prepričala je njihov ponovni susret za medije.

 - Do danas ne znamo zašto policija nikada nije bila uključena. Mislim da je to zato što im je moja mama dala dopuštenje da me odvedu i činjenice da smo ja i moja braća i sestre često bili u domu. Tijekom godina bilo je nekoliko žalbi na Zavodu za nestale osobe, a moja se mama stalno vraćala na putničko mjesto, čak i nakon što se odselila, kako bi me našla, rekla je Susan za The Wakefield Express.

Nažalost, Susan se nikada više neće susresti sa svojom biološkom majkom, jer je ona umrla prije osam godina, ne znajući da joj je kći na sigurnom.

- Pričalo se da je Susanina majka nju tražila godinama, ali bezuspješno. Nakon njezine smrti bilo je toliko neodgovorenih pitanja. Nikad nismo mislili da će se ovo dogoditi. Bilo je nevjerojatno - posebno za moju mamu. Ona ima Parkinsonovu bolest i demenciju pa je dobro da se prije pogoršanja zdravstvenog stanja ponovno susrela sa svojom sestrom, rekla je nećakinja gospođe Gervaise, Emma McFadyen.

- Neka ovo bude poruka svima koji su izgubili nekoga. Čuda se događaju, ima nade, poručila je za kraj Gospođa Gervaise.
