U sudaru u kojem su sudjelovali deseci vozila na međudržavnoj cesti 81 u američkoj saveznoj državi Pennsylvaniji u ponedjeljak su poginule najmanje tri osobe, a više od deset sudionika nesreće poslano je u okružne bolnice, priopćile su vlasti, a prenosi abc7.

Ured za hitne slučajeve okruga Schuylkill priopćio je da se nesreća na sjeveroistoku Pennsylvanije dogodila u ponedjeljak oko 10.30 sati.

Doktor David J. Moylan, okružni mrtvozornik, rekao je da su do kasnog poslijepodneva potvrđena tri smrtna slučaja. 

John Blickley, zamjenik koordinatora agencije za hitne slučajeve, rekao je da dužnosnici vjeruju kako je snježna oluja smanjila vidljivost i pridonijela nesreći.

Procjene o broju uključenih vozila iz agencije za hitne slučajeve i državne policije kretale su se između 40 i 60, uključujući više traktorskih prikolica.

Blickley je rekao da je osoblje hitne pomoći iz četiri različita okruga odvezlo oko dvadeset pacijenata u bolnice na liječenje. Tri traktorske prikolice s nepoznatim teretom gorjele su kad je stigla hitna pomoć, a u plamenu su bila i neka manja vozila.

Policajac državne policije Pennsylvanije David Beohm rekao je u ponedjeljak poslijepodne da policija još nije bila u mogućnosti istražiti nesreću jer još uvijek gori vatra među brojnim slupanim automobilima i kamionima.

Vatrogasne jedinice na mjestu događaja uključivale su stalan dotok cisterni s vodom jer "usred ničega morate donijeti svoju vodu... ovdje nigdje nema vatrogasnog hidranta".

Autocesta je bila prekrivena snijegom kada je naišla snježna oluja, rekao je Boehm.

- Dovoljno je da se jedna osoba zaleti u nešto. Kad nastavite voziti brzinom autoceste, to se događa - rekao je o nesreći.

Snimka objavljena u ponedjeljak prikazuje kako je prikolica tegljača udarila u veliki kiper, okrećući ga za gotovo 180 stupnjeva. Još jedan veliki kamion izbacio je crni dim, a potom i planuo, a SUV je udario u osobni automobil koji se zavrtio, za dlaku promašivši vozača koji je stajao na rubu autoceste obavijen snijegom i maglom.

Osoba koja je objavila video nije odmah odgovorila na zahtjeve za dodatnim informacijama. Ljudi s druge strane kamere mogu se čuti kako viču dok se niz nesreća odvija s više vozila koja se sudaraju u manje od minute.

Nacionalna meteorološka služba ranije je upozorila na "brojne kratke i jake snježne oluje s vrlo slabom vidljivošću".

​Mike Colbert​, prognostičar iz ureda Nacionalne meteorološke službe na State Collegeu, rekao je da je meteorološka služba počela izdavati upozorenja o snježnim olujama prije nekoliko godina, a lančani sudari bili su razlog zašto su to počeli činiti.

- Riječ je o kratkim, ali izuzetno snažnim snježnim pljuskovima. Možete prijeći s djelomično oblačnog ili sunčanog neba u mećavu u nekoliko sekundi - rekao je meteorolog.

U sudaru u kojem su sudjelovali deseci vozila na međudržavnoj cesti 81 u američkoj saveznoj državi Pennsylvaniji u ponedjeljak su poginule najmanje tri osobe, a više od deset sudionika nesreće poslano je u okružne bolnice, priopćile su vlasti, a prenosi abc7.

Ured za hitne slučajeve okruga Schuylkill priopćio je da se nesreća na sjeveroistoku Pennsylvanije dogodila u ponedjeljak oko 10.30 sati.

Doktor David J. Moylan, okružni mrtvozornik, rekao je da su do kasnog poslijepodneva potvrđena tri smrtna slučaja. 

John Blickley, zamjenik koordinatora agencije za hitne slučajeve, rekao je da dužnosnici vjeruju kako je snježna oluja smanjila vidljivost i pridonijela nesreći.

Procjene o broju uključenih vozila iz agencije za hitne slučajeve i državne policije kretale su se između 40 i 60, uključujući više traktorskih prikolica.

Blickley je rekao da je osoblje hitne pomoći iz četiri različita okruga odvezlo oko dvadeset pacijenata u bolnice na liječenje. Tri traktorske prikolice s nepoznatim teretom gorjele su kad je stigla hitna pomoć, a u plamenu su bila i neka manja vozila.

Policajac državne policije Pennsylvanije David Beohm rekao je u ponedjeljak poslijepodne da policija još nije bila u mogućnosti istražiti nesreću jer još uvijek gori vatra među brojnim slupanim automobilima i kamionima.

Vatrogasne jedinice na mjestu događaja uključivale su stalan dotok cisterni s vodom jer "usred ničega morate donijeti svoju vodu... ovdje nigdje nema vatrogasnog hidranta".

- Dovoljno je da se jedna osoba zaleti u nešto. Kad nastavite voziti brzinom autoceste, to se događa - rekao je o nesreći.

Snimka objavljena u ponedjeljak prikazuje kako je prikolica tegljača udarila u veliki kiper, okrećući ga za gotovo 180 stupnjeva. Još jedan veliki kamion izbacio je crni dim, a potom i planuo, a SUV je udario u osobni automobil koji se zavrtio, za dlaku promašivši vozača koji je stajao na rubu autoceste obavijen snijegom i maglom.

Osoba koja je objavila video nije odmah odgovorila na zahtjeve za dodatnim informacijama. Ljudi s druge strane kamere mogu se čuti kako viču dok se niz nesreća odvija s više vozila koja se sudaraju u manje od minute.

Nacionalna meteorološka služba ranije je upozorila na "brojne kratke i jake snježne oluje s vrlo slabom vidljivošću".

​Mike Colbert​, prognostičar iz ureda Nacionalne meteorološke službe na State Collegeu, rekao je da je meteorološka služba počela izdavati upozorenja o snježnim olujama prije nekoliko godina, a lančani sudari bili su razlog zašto su to počeli činiti.

- Riječ je o kratkim, ali izuzetno snažnim snježnim pljuskovima. Možete prijeći s djelomično oblačnog ili sunčanog neba u mećavu u nekoliko sekundi - rekao je meteorolog.

U sudaru u kojem su sudjelovali deseci vozila na međudržavnoj cesti 81 u američkoj saveznoj državi Pennsylvaniji u ponedjeljak su poginule najmanje tri osobe, a više od deset sudionika nesreće poslano je u okružne bolnice, priopćile su vlasti, a prenosi abc7.

Ured za hitne slučajeve okruga Schuylkill priopćio je da se nesreća na sjeveroistoku Pennsylvanije dogodila u ponedjeljak oko 10.30 sati.

Doktor David J. Moylan, okružni mrtvozornik, rekao je da su do kasnog poslijepodneva potvrđena tri smrtna slučaja. 

John Blickley, zamjenik koordinatora agencije za hitne slučajeve, rekao je da dužnosnici vjeruju kako je snježna oluja smanjila vidljivost i pridonijela nesreći.
