Jesu li testovi na koronavirus uzimanjem brisa pouzdani, pitanje je koje mnogi postavljaju i često se ponavlja u raspravama na društvenim mrežama.

Pritom su se pojavile i dijametralno suprotne tvrdnje, jedni govore da tzv. negativan nalaz može biti lažan, a drugi da upravo "pozitivan" može biti nepouzdan, odnosno i jedno i drugo... Stoga smo odgovor potražili od dr. Marija Parčine, voditelja kliničke mikrobiologije Sveučilišne bolnice u Bonnu.

Prema njegovim riječima, pojmovi "negativan" i "pozitivan" su prije svega pogrešni, jer bi ispravno bilo reći da "prisutnost SARS-CoV-2 RNK (ribonukleinske kiseline) je ili nije dokazana u obrađenom uzorku".

Nadalje, on nas informira da je test uglavnom siguran kad pokazuje da prisutnost virusa nije dokazana u uzorkovanoj regiji. Dakle, ako je netko, općeprihvaćenim rječnikom kazano, "negativan", on svakako jest negativan u tom trenutku i tog dana što se naravno idući dan može promijeniti.

Postoje situacije koje se pridodaju pogreškama uzorkovanja prilikom kojih bris nije površinom dovoljno bio u kontaktu sa sluznicom grla ili nazofaringsa. Na taj način se na brisu nema dovoljno prisutnih virusa da bi se PCR testom dokazala njihova RNK.

Međutim, nalaz može biti "krivopozitivan", odnosno prisutnost virusa u nekom brisu može se pokazati zbog kontaminacije tijekom samog postupka uzimanja uzorka, i to zbog osobe koja postupak obavlja ili tijekom laboratorijske obrade zbog blizine drugih briseva.

- Ta kontaminacija svedena je, doduše, na minimalnu mjeru ako je postupak visokoautomatiziran, ali nemaju ga, nažalost, svi laboratoriji - zaključio je dr. Parčina.

On dodaje da je važno ponoviti testove, pogotovo ako je riječ o zdravstvenim ili djelatnicima u domovima za stare i nemoćne.

Jesu li testovi na koronavirus uzimanjem brisa pouzdani, pitanje je koje mnogi postavljaju i često se ponavlja u raspravama na društvenim mrežama.

Pritom su se pojavile i dijametralno suprotne tvrdnje, jedni govore da tzv. negativan nalaz može biti lažan, a drugi da upravo "pozitivan" može biti nepouzdan, odnosno i jedno i drugo... Stoga smo odgovor potražili od dr. Marija Parčine, voditelja kliničke mikrobiologije Sveučilišne bolnice u Bonnu.

Prema njegovim riječima, pojmovi "negativan" i "pozitivan" su prije svega pogrešni, jer bi ispravno bilo reći da "prisutnost SARS-CoV-2 RNK (ribonukleinske kiseline) je ili nije dokazana u obrađenom uzorku".

Nadalje, on nas informira da je test uglavnom siguran kad pokazuje da prisutnost virusa nije dokazana u uzorkovanoj regiji. Dakle, ako je netko, općeprihvaćenim rječnikom kazano, "negativan", on svakako jest negativan u tom trenutku i tog dana što se naravno idući dan može promijeniti.

Postoje situacije koje se pridodaju pogreškama uzorkovanja prilikom kojih bris nije površinom dovoljno bio u kontaktu sa sluznicom grla ili nazofaringsa. Na taj način se na brisu nema dovoljno prisutnih virusa da bi se PCR testom dokazala njihova RNK.

Međutim, nalaz može biti "krivopozitivan", odnosno prisutnost virusa u nekom brisu može se pokazati zbog kontaminacije tijekom samog postupka uzimanja uzorka, i to zbog osobe koja postupak obavlja ili tijekom laboratorijske obrade zbog blizine drugih briseva.

- Ta kontaminacija svedena je, doduše, na minimalnu mjeru ako je postupak visokoautomatiziran, ali nemaju ga, nažalost, svi laboratoriji - zaključio je dr. Parčina.

On dodaje da je važno ponoviti testove, pogotovo ako je riječ o zdravstvenim ili djelatnicima u domovima za stare i nemoćne.

Jesu li testovi na koronavirus uzimanjem brisa pouzdani, pitanje je koje mnogi postavljaju i često se ponavlja u raspravama na društvenim mrežama.

Pritom su se pojavile i dijametralno suprotne tvrdnje, jedni govore da tzv. negativan nalaz može biti lažan, a drugi da upravo "pozitivan" može biti nepouzdan, odnosno i jedno i drugo... Stoga smo odgovor potražili od dr. Marija Parčine, voditelja kliničke mikrobiologije Sveučilišne bolnice u Bonnu.

Prema njegovim riječima, pojmovi "negativan" i "pozitivan" su prije svega pogrešni, jer bi ispravno bilo reći da "prisutnost SARS-CoV-2 RNK (ribonukleinske kiseline) je ili nije dokazana u obrađenom uzorku".

Nadalje, on nas informira da je test uglavnom siguran kad pokazuje da prisutnost virusa nije dokazana u uzorkovanoj regiji. Dak...
