BioNTech i Pfizer objavili su u srijedu da tri doze njihova cjepiva protiv covida-19 neutraliziraju novu omikron varijantu koronavirusa, prenose svjetske agencije.

U prvom službenom očitovanju o učinkovitosti njihova cjepiva protiv omikron varijante koronavirusa, BioNTech i Pfizer istaknuli su da treća doza njihova cjepiva povećava količinu neutralizirajućih antitijela 25 puta, a kod primjene dvije doze njihova je količina znatno manja, prenio je Reuters. 

"Treća doza osigurava razinu neutralizirajućih antitijela protiv omikrona sličnu onoj primijećenoj nakon dviju doza" kod drugih varijanti virusa, navodi se u priopćenju, koje prenosi AFP.

"Premda dvije doze mogu još uvijek pružiti zaštitu od teške bolesti uzrokovane omikronom, jasno je da je zaštita, po preliminarnim podacima, bolja s trećom dozom našeg cjepiva", izjavio je glavni direktor Pfizera Albert Bourla, po priopćenju tvrtke.

Pfizer i BioNTech dodaju da, bude li potrebno, mogu isporučiti cjepivo prilagođeno isključivo omikron varijanti do ožujka 2022.

"Razvit ćemo cjepivo prilagođeno omikron varijanti i nadamo se da će biti dostupno do ožujka u slučaju da prilagodba bude potrebna".

BioNTech i Pfizer objavili su u srijedu da tri doze njihova cjepiva protiv covida-19 neutraliziraju novu omikron varijantu koronavirusa, prenose svjetske agencije.

U prvom službenom očitovanju o učinkovitosti njihova cjepiva protiv omikron varijante koronavirusa, BioNTech i Pfizer istaknuli su da treća doza njihova cjepiva povećava količinu neutralizirajućih antitijela 25 puta, a kod primjene dvije doze njihova je količina znatno manja, prenio je Reuters. 

"Treća doza osigurava razinu neutralizirajućih antitijela protiv omikrona sličnu onoj primijećenoj nakon dviju doza" kod drugih varijanti virusa, navodi se u priopćenju, koje prenosi AFP.

"Premda dvije doze mogu još uvijek pružiti zaštitu od teške bolesti uzrokovane omikronom, jasno je da je zaštita, po preliminarnim podacima, bolja s trećom dozom našeg cjepiva", izjavio je glavni direktor Pfizera Albert Bourla, po priopćenju tvrtke.

Pfizer i BioNTech dodaju da, bude li potrebno, mogu isporučiti cjepivo prilagođeno isključivo omikron varijanti do ožujka 2022.

"Razvit ćemo cjepivo prilagođeno omikron varijanti i nadamo se da će biti dostupno do ožujka u slučaju da prilagodba bude potrebna".

BioNTech i Pfizer objavili su u srijedu da tri doze njihova cjepiva protiv covida-19 neutraliziraju novu omikron varijantu koronavirusa, prenose svjetske agencije.

U prvom službenom očitovanju o učinkovitosti njihova cjepiva protiv omikron varijante koronavirusa, BioNTech i Pfizer istaknuli su da treća doza njihova cjepiva povećava količinu neutralizirajućih antitijela 25 puta, a kod primjene dvije doze njihova je količina znatno manja, prenio je Reuters. 

"Treća doza osigurava razinu neutralizirajućih antitijela protiv omikrona sličnu onoj primijećenoj nakon dviju doza" kod drugih varijanti virusa, navodi se u priopćenju, koje prenosi AFP.
