Sjeverna Koreja ispalila je više od 200 topničkih granata u more u petak blizu morske granice s Južnom Korejom, rekao je vojni dužnosnik, dok je stanovnicima dvaju južnokorejskih otoka naređeno da potraže sklonište zbog neodređene "situacije".

Ministarstvo obrane nije potvrdilo je li zapovijed potaknuta topničkom paljbom Sjevera ili južnokorejskim vježbama kao odgovorom.

Međutim, u tekstualnoj poruci poslanoj stanovnicima, a potvrdio ju je otočki dužnosnik, navodi se da će južnokorejska vojska od petka u 15 sati izvoditi "pomorsku paljbu".

Dužnosnik na otoku Yeonpyeongu, južno od sporne morske granice Sjeverne granične linije (NLL), rekao je da je evakuacija naređena kako bi stanovnici otišli u skloništa na otoku na zahtjev južnokorejske vojske.

Sve sjevernokorejske topničke granate pale su na sjevernu stranu sporne morske granice, rekao je glasnogovornik Lee Sung-joon, dodajući da južnokorejska vojska prati poteze Sjevera duž svojih obala u suradnji s vojskom SAD-a.

Upozorio je da će Jug poduzeti "odgovarajuće mjere" kao odgovor na akcije Sjevera.

U Yeonpyeongu živi nešto više od 2000 stanovnika i vojnika stacioniranih ondje, oko 120 km zapadno od Seula, a do njega se stiže trajektima za više od dva i pol sata.

U vodama blizu sporne sjeverne granične linije (NLL) bilo je nekoliko smrtonosnih sukoba između Sjeverne i Južne Koreje, uključujući okršaje u kojemu su sudjelovali ratni brodovi i potapanje korvete južnokorejske mornarice početkom 2010.

Vjeruje se da je korvetu potopio sjevernokorejski torpedo.

U studenom 2010. sjevernokorejsko topništvo ispalilo je desetke granata na otok Yeonpyeong, ubivši četiri osobe, uključujući dva civila, u jednom od najtežih napada na susjednu zemlju od završetka Korejskog rata 1953. godine.

Sjeverna Koreja u to je vrijeme rekla da su napad isprovocirale južnokorejske vježbe ispaljivanja granata koje su padale u njezine teritorijalne vode.

Sjeverna granična linija iscrtana je na kraju Korejskog rata 1950.-53. kao neslužbena granica, a Pjongjangje nije osporavao sve do 1970-ih, kada je počeo kršiti liniju i zalagati se za granicu dalje prema jugu.

Stanovnicima otoka Baengnyeong, koji se nalazi dalje zapadno od Yeonpyeonga i blizu morske granice, također je rečeno da potraže sklonište, rekao je tamošnji seoski dužnosnik. Ima oko 4900 stanovnika.

Sjeverna Koreja proteklih dana sve češće upozorava da se situacija na Korejskom poluotoku razvija u smjeru rata zbog opasnih poteza vojske SAD-a i Južne Koreje.

Sjeverna Koreja ispalila je više od 200 topničkih granata u more u petak blizu morske granice s Južnom Korejom, rekao je vojni dužnosnik, dok je stanovnicima dvaju južnokorejskih otoka naređeno da potraže sklonište zbog neodređene "situacije".

Ministarstvo obrane nije potvrdilo je li zapovijed potaknuta topničkom paljbom Sjevera ili južnokorejskim vježbama kao odgovorom.

Međutim, u tekstualnoj poruci poslanoj stanovnicima, a potvrdio ju je otočki dužnosnik, navodi se da će južnokorejska vojska od petka u 15 sati izvoditi "pomorsku paljbu".

Sve sjevernokorejske topničke granate pale su na sjevernu stranu sporne morske granice, rekao je glasnogovornik Lee Sung-joon, dodajući da južnokorejska vojska prati poteze Sjevera duž svojih obala u suradnji s vojskom SAD-a.

Upozorio je da će Jug poduzeti "odgovarajuće mjere" kao odgovor na akcije Sjevera.

U Yeonpyeongu živi nešto više od 2000 stanovnika i vojnika stacioniranih ondje, oko 120 km zapadno od Seula, a do njega se stiže trajektima za više od dva i pol sata.

U studenom 2010. sjevernokorejsko topništvo ispalilo je desetke granata na otok Yeonpyeong, ubivši četiri osobe, uključujući dva civila, u jednom od najtežih napada na susjednu zemlju od završetka Korejskog rata 1953. godine.

Sjeverna Koreja u to je vrijeme rekla da su napad isprovocirale južnokorejske vježbe ispaljivanja granata koje su padale u njezine teritorijalne vode.

Sjeverna granična linija iscrtana je na kraju Korejskog rata 1950.-53. kao neslužbena granica, a Pjongjangje nije osporavao sve do 1970-ih, kada je počeo kršiti liniju i zalagati se za granicu dalje prema jugu.

Sjeverna Koreja ispalila je više od 200 topničkih granata u more u petak blizu morske granice s Južnom Korejom, rekao je vojni dužnosnik, dok je stanovnicima dvaju južnokorejskih otoka naređeno da potraže sklonište zbog neodređene "situacije".

Ministarstvo obrane nije potvrdilo je li zapovijed potaknuta topničkom paljbom Sjevera ili južnokorejskim vježbama kao odgovorom.

Međutim, u tekstualnoj poruci poslanoj stanovnicima, a potvrdio ju je otočki dužnosnik, navodi se da će južnokorejska vojska od petka u 15 sati izvoditi "pomorsku paljbu".

Dužnosnik na otoku Yeonpyeongu, južno od sporne morske granice Sjeverne granične linije (NLL), rekao je da je evakuacija naređena kako bi stanovnici otišli u skloništa na otoku na zahtjev južnokorejske vojske.

Sjevernokorejsko ispaljivanje granata nije nanijelo civilnu niti vojnu štetu u Južnoj Koreji, rekla je južnokorejska vojska na brifingu za novinare.

"Ovo je čin provokacije koji eskalira napetosti i prijeti miru na Korejskom poluotoku", rekao je glasnogovornik južnokorejskog Združenog stožera.

Sve sjevernokorejske topničke granate pale su na sjevernu stranu sporne morske granice, rekao je glasnogovornik Lee Sung-joon, dodajući da južnokorejska vojska prati poteze Sjevera duž svojih obala u suradnji s vojskom SAD-a.

Upozorio je da će Jug poduzeti "odgovarajuće mjere" kao odgovor na akcije Sjevera.

U Yeonpyeongu živi nešto više od 2000 stanovnika i vojnika stacioniranih ondje, oko 120 km zapadno od Seula, a do njega se stiže trajektima za više od dva i pol sata.

U vodama blizu sporne sjeverne granične linije (NLL) bilo je nekoliko smrtonosnih sukoba između Sjeverne i Južne Koreje, uključujući okršaje u kojemu su sudjelovali ratni brodovi i potapanje korvete južnokorejske mornarice početkom 2010.
