Prema novoj studiji, infekcije među zdravstvenim radnicima koji su potpuno cijepljeni protiv COVID-19 izuzetno su rijetke, piše ABC News.

Znanstvenici su ispitali podatke iz zdravstvenih kartona zaposlenika više od 36.600 zdravstvenih radnika u Kaliforniji i otkrili da je njih manje od jedan posto pozitivno na COVID-19 nakon potpunog cijepljenja - što znači obje doze plus dva tjedna za izgradnju imuniteta - cjepivom Pfizer ili Moderna.

Iako su nedavno u vijestima objavljena anegdotalna izvješća o tome kako su pojedini liječnici dobili COVID-19 nakon primanja jedne ili obje doze cjepiva, ova studija nudi opsežniji pogled na to koliko često se takve infekcije javljaju u potpuno cijepljenih ljudi.

'Ova studija potvrđuje da su cjepiva vrlo učinkovita u prevenciji COVID-19', rekli su autori studije dr. Shira Abeles i dr. Francesca Torriani.

Razdoblje ispitivanja trajalo je od 16. prosinca 2020. kada su Sveučilište Kalifornija u San Diegu (UCSD) i Sveučilište Kalifornija u Los Angelesu (UCLA) započeli svoje programe cijepljenja, pa do 9. veljače 2021. godine.

Nakon potpunog cijepljenja, rizik od pozitivnog testiranja na virus bio je 1,19 posto među zaposlenicima UCSD-a i 0,97 posto među zaposlenicima UCLA-a.

Istraživanje je također pokazalo da što su dalje u procesu cijepljenja zdravstveni radnici bili, to je cjepivo bolje djelovalo.

Od 36.659 cijepljenih radnika, 379 ih je bilo pozitivno nakon prve doze cjepiva, dok je većina tih pojedinaca bila pozitivna u roku od dva tjedna od prve doze. Nakon primanja obje doze cjepiva, 37 ljudi je dobilo pozitivne rezultate, a većina je bila pozitivna manje od tjedan dana nakon druge doze. Samo sedam zdravstvenih radnika imalo je pozitivan test 15 dana ili više nakon drugog cijepljenja.

Niti jedan cijepljeni zdravstveni radnik koji je obolio od COVID-19 nije hospitaliziran ili umro, a čini se da su oni koji su se razboljeli imali blaže simptome od necijepljenih, kažu znanstvenici.

'Nadamo se da ovo pomaže povećanju povjerenja u cjepivo', rekli su Abeles i Torriani.

Istraživanje je imalo i određena ograničenja. Zdravstveni radnici koji su imali pozitivan test nakon jedne doze možda su bili izloženi virusu prije cijepljenja. Prema novoj studiji, infekcije među zdravstvenim radnicima koji su potpuno cijepljeni protiv COVID-19 izuzetno su rijetke, piše ABC News.

Znanstvenici su ispitali podatke iz zdravstvenih kartona zaposlenika više od 36.600 zdravstvenih radnika u Kaliforniji i otkrili da je njih manje od jedan posto pozitivno na COVID-19 nakon potpunog cijepljenja - što znači obje doze plus dva tjedna za izgradnju imuniteta - cjepivom Pfizer ili Moderna.

Iako su nedavno u vijestima objavljena anegdotalna izvješća o tome kako su pojedini liječnici dobili COVID-19 nakon primanja jedne ili obje doze cjepiva, ova studija nudi opsežniji pogled na to koliko često se takve infekcije javljaju u potpuno cijepljenih ljudi.

'Ova studija potvrđuje da su cjepiva vrlo učinkovita u prevenciji COVID-19', rekli su autori studije dr. Shira Abeles i dr. Francesca Torriani.

Razdoblje ispitivanja trajalo je od 16. prosinca 2020. kada su Sveučilište Kalifornija u San Diegu (UCSD) i Sveučilište Kalifornija u Los Angelesu (UCLA) započeli svoje programe cijepljenja, pa do 9. veljače 2021. godine.

Nakon potpunog cijepljenja, rizik od pozitivnog testiranja na virus bio je 1,19 posto među zaposlenicima UCSD-a i 0,97 posto među zaposlenicima UCLA-a.

Istraživanje je također pokazalo da što su dalje u procesu cijepljenja zdravstveni radnici bili, to je cjepivo bolje djelovalo.

Od 36.659 cijepljenih radnika, 379 ih je bilo pozitivno nakon prve doze cjepiva, dok je većina tih pojedinaca bila pozitivna u roku od dva tjedna od prve doze. Nakon primanja obje doze cjepiva, 37 ljudi je dobilo pozitivne rezultate, a većina je bila pozitivna manje od tjedan dana nakon druge doze. Samo sedam zdravstvenih radnika imalo je pozitivan test 15 dana ili više nakon drugog cijepljenja.

Niti jedan cijepljeni zdravstveni radnik koji je obolio od COVID-19 nije hospitaliziran ili umro, a čini se da su oni koji su se razboljeli imali blaže simptome od necijepljenih, kažu znanstvenici.

'Nadamo se da ovo pomaže povećanju povjerenja u cjepivo', rekli su Abeles i Torriani.

Istraživanje je imalo i određena ograničenja. Zdravstveni radnici koji su imali pozitivan test nakon jedne doze možda su bili izloženi virusu prije cijepljenja. Prema novoj studiji, infekcije među zdravstvenim radnicima koji su potpuno cijepljeni protiv COVID-19 izuzetno su rijetke, piše ABC News.

Znanstvenici su ispitali podatke iz zdravstvenih kartona zaposlenika više od 36.600 zdravstvenih radnika u Kaliforniji i otkrili da je njih manje od jedan posto pozitivno na COVID-19 nakon potpunog cijepljenja - što znači obje doze plus dva tjedna za izgradnju imuniteta - cjepivom Pfizer ili Moderna.

Iako su nedavno u vijestima objavljena anegdotalna izvješća o tome kako su pojedini liječnici dobili COVID-19 nakon primanja jedne ili obje doze cjepiva, ova studija nudi opsežniji pogled na to koliko često se takve infekcije javljaju u potpuno cijepljenih ljudi.
