Rusija je prijavila nekoliko zaraza novom varijantom Covida-19 za koju se vjeruje da je zaraznija od delte, izvijestila je u četvrtak novinska agencija RIA.
Moguće je da će se varijanta (koju stručnjaci nazivaju AY.4.2) brže širiti, rekao je znanstvenik Kamil Khafizov kako ga citira RIA. To bi moglo izazvati novo još brže širenje zaraze, a Rusija je danima suočena s nezapamćenim rekordima kad je u pitanju broj novozaraženih i umrlih od koronavirusa.
Nova varijanta bi na kraju čak mogla zamijeniti i delta soj, iako će taj proces vjerovatno biti spor, dodao je Khafizov.
Upozorenje dolazi u trenutku kad Rusija bilježi najveći broj smrtnih slučajeva povezan s Covid-19 infekcijom od početka pandemije, preko 1035 slučajeva, kao i ogroman broj dnevnih slučajeva - oko 36.339.
Rusija ima daleko najveći službeni broj smrtnih slučajeva od Covida-19 u Europi, 227.389 i četvrti najveći u svijetu.
Ove su brojke potaknule i gradonačelnika Moskve, Sergeja Sobyanina da ponovno uvede karantenu između 28. listopada i 7.studenog. Očekuje se zatvaranje svih trgovina, barova i restorana, osim onih koji prodaju prehrambene namirnice.
U susjednoj Ukrajini val infekcija koji traje više tjedana i dalje raste, uprkos usvajanju pooštrenih mjera zatvaranja prošlog mjeseca.
Ministarstvo zdravlja priopćilo je da je u posljednja 24 sata registrirano 22.415 novih slučajeva koronavirusa, što je više od dosadašnjih 20.341 slučajeva zabilježenih 3. travnja.
Ukupan broj smrtnih slučajeva u prethodna 24 sata također je bio rekord, pa je dostigao 546. Sveukupno, oko 62.000 ljudi je umrlo od te bolesti u Ukrajini.
Varijanta AY 4.2 već je otkrivena u Velikoj Britaniji i u nekoliko drugih europskih zemalja, a Izrael je u srijedu objavio da je identificirao prvi slučaj na svom teritoriju, piše BBC.
Podvarijanta AY 4.2 čini oko 6 posto sekvenciranih uzoraka, objavila je prošli tjedan britanska Agencija za zdravstvenu sigurnost, ali nije pod istragom i nije označena kao varijanta koja izaziva zabrinutost. Direktor instituta za genetiku s UCL-a u Londonu François Balloux rekao je da je nova varijanta još rijetka i da izgleda da nije zaraznija od drugih.

Rusija je prijavila nekoliko zaraza novom varijantom Covida-19 za koju se vjeruje da je zaraznija od delte, izvijestila je u četvrtak novinska agencija RIA.
Moguće je da će se varijanta (koju stručnjaci nazivaju AY.4.2) brže širiti, rekao je znanstvenik Kamil Khafizov kako ga citira RIA. To bi moglo izazvati novo još brže širenje zaraze, a Rusija je danima suočena s nezapamćenim rekordima kad je u pitanju broj novozaraženih i umrlih od koronavirusa.
Nova varijanta bi na kraju čak mogla zamijeniti i delta soj, iako će taj proces vjerovatno biti spor, dodao je Khafizov.
Upozorenje dolazi u trenutku kad Rusija bilježi najveći broj smrtnih slučajeva povezan s Covid-19 infekcijom od početka pandemije, preko 1035 slučajeva, kao i ogroman broj dnevnih slučajeva - oko 36.339.
Rusija ima daleko najveći službeni broj smrtnih slučajeva od Covida-19 u Europi, 227.389 i četvrti najveći u svijetu.
Ove su brojke potaknule i gradonačelnika Moskve, Sergeja Sobyanina da ponovno uvede karantenu između 28. listopada i 7.studenog. Očekuje se zatvaranje svih trgovina, barova i restorana, osim onih koji prodaju prehrambene namirnice.
U susjednoj Ukrajini val infekcija koji traje više tjedana i dalje raste, uprkos usvajanju pooštrenih mjera zatvaranja prošlog mjeseca.
Ministarstvo zdravlja priopćilo je da je u posljednja 24 sata registrirano 22.415 novih slučajeva koronavirusa, što je više od dosadašnjih 20.341 slučajeva zabilježenih 3. travnja.
Ukupan broj smrtnih slučajeva u prethodna 24 sata također je bio rekord, pa je dostigao 546. Sveukupno, oko 62.000 ljudi je umrlo od te bolesti u Ukrajini.
Varijanta AY 4.2 već je otkrivena u Velikoj Britaniji i u nekoliko drugih europskih zemalja, a Izrael je u srijedu objavio da je identificirao prvi slučaj na svom teritoriju, piše BBC.
Podvarijanta AY 4.2 čini oko 6 posto sekvenciranih uzoraka, objavila je prošli tjedan britanska Agencija za zdravstvenu sigurnost, ali nije pod istragom i nije označena kao varijanta koja izaziva zabrinutost. Direktor instituta za genetiku s UCL-a u Londonu François Balloux rekao je da je nova varijanta još rijetka i da izgleda da nije zaraznija od drugih.
