Mjanmarske sigurnosne snage u subotu su upotrijebile suzavac i šok bombe za gušenje prosvjeda u Yangonu, samo nekoliko sati nakon što je izaslanica Ujedinjenih naroda pozvala Vijeće sigurnosti na akciju protiv vladajuće vojne hunte zbog ubojstava prosvjednika.

Od kada je vojska 1. veljače uhitila izabranu premijerku Aung San Suu Kyi, u zemlji jugoistočne Azije vladaju nemiri praćeni svakodnevnim prosvjedima i štrajkovima koji vojnoj vladi otežavaju upravljanje zemljom.

U subotu su diljem Mjanmara organizirani sporadični prosvjedi, a lokalni mediji izvijestili su da je policija koristila suzavce i omamljujuće bombe kako bi stala na kraj prosvjedu u okrugu Sanchaung u Yangonu, najvećem gradu u državi. Nije bilo informacija o žrtvama.

Prema podacima Ujedinjenih naroda, od početka vojnog puča ubijeno je više od 50 prosvjednika - najmanje 38 samo u srijedu.

Prosvjednici zahtijevaju oslobađanje Suu Kyi i poštivanje izbora održanih u studenom prošle godine na kojima je njezina stranka pobijedila, no čije je rezultate vojska odbila. 

"Koliko ćemo još dopustiti mjanmarskoj vojsci da nastavi s ovime?", izjavila je u petak posebna izaslanica Christine Schraner Burgener na sastanku UN-ovog Vijeća sigurnosti, prenosi Reuters.

"Ključno je da ovo Vijeće bude odlučno i koherentno, uzimajući u obzir djelovanje sigurnosnih snaga te pružajući zaštitu mjanmarskom narodu, u znak poštivanja jasnih rezultata izbora održanih u studenom."

Glasnogovornik vladajućih nije se odazvao na poziv za komentar. Vojska je ranije navela da je bila suzdržana u zaustavljanju prosvjeda, no priopćila je da neće dopustiti narušavanje stabilnosti.

Mjanmarske sigurnosne snage u subotu su upotrijebile suzavac i šok bombe za gušenje prosvjeda u Yangonu, samo nekoliko sati nakon što je izaslanica Ujedinjenih naroda pozvala Vijeće sigurnosti na akciju protiv vladajuće vojne hunte zbog ubojstava prosvjednika.

Od kada je vojska 1. veljače uhitila izabranu premijerku Aung San Suu Kyi, u zemlji jugoistočne Azije vladaju nemiri praćeni svakodnevnim prosvjedima i štrajkovima koji vojnoj vladi otežavaju upravljanje zemljom.

U subotu su diljem Mjanmara organizirani sporadični prosvjedi, a lokalni mediji izvijestili su da je policija koristila suzavce i omamljujuće bombe kako bi stala na kraj prosvjedu u okrugu Sanchaung u Yangonu, najvećem gradu u državi. Nije bilo informacija o žrtvama.

Prema podacima Ujedinjenih naroda, od početka vojnog puča ubijeno je više od 50 prosvjednika - najmanje 38 samo u srijedu.

Prosvjednici zahtijevaju oslobađanje Suu Kyi i poštivanje izbora održanih u studenom prošle godine na kojima je njezina stranka pobijedila, no čije je rezultate vojska odbila. 

"Koliko ćemo još dopustiti mjanmarskoj vojsci da nastavi s ovime?", izjavila je u petak posebna izaslanica Christine Schraner Burgener na sastanku UN-ovog Vijeća sigurnosti, prenosi Reuters.

"Ključno je da ovo Vijeće bude odlučno i koherentno, uzimajući u obzir djelovanje sigurnosnih snaga te pružajući zaštitu mjanmarskom narodu, u znak poštivanja jasnih rezultata izbora održanih u studenom."

Glasnogovornik vladajućih nije se odazvao na poziv za komentar. Vojska je ranije navela da je bila suzdržana u zaustavljanju prosvjeda, no priopćila je da neće dopustiti narušavanje stabilnosti.

Policija suzavcima ugušila noćašnje prosvjede u Mjanmaru

Mjanmarske sigurnosne snage u subotu su upotrijebile suzavac i šok bombe za gušenje prosvjeda u Yangonu, samo nekoliko sati nakon što je izaslanica Ujedinjenih naroda pozvala Vijeće sigurnosti na akciju protiv vladajuće vojne hunte zbog ubojstava prosvjednika.

Od kada je vojska 1. veljače uhitila izabranu premijerku Aung San Suu Kyi, u zemlji jugoistočne Azije vladaju nemiri praćeni svakodnevnim prosvjedima i štrajkovima koji vojnoj vladi otežavaju upravljanje zemljom.

U subotu su diljem Mjanmara organizirani sporadični prosvjedi, a lokalni mediji izvijestili su da je policija koristila suzavce i omamljujuće bombe kako bi stala na kraj prosvjedu u okrugu Sanchaung u Yangonu, najvećem gradu u državi. Nije bilo informacija o žrtvama.
