Na Mikolajiv svakodnevno padaju granate. Rusi su na njegovoj istočnoj i južnoj periferiji, udaraju po okolnim selima i tjeraju tisuće ljudi u bijeg. Zavijanje sirene za zračni napad uvod je u eksploziju s desne strane vozila u kojem su se novinari BBC-ja probijali kroz predgrađe ove velike luke. Pratili su kombi Crvenog križa koji pokušava spasiti još neke od onih koji su pod stalnim granatiranjem.

Oproštaji od najbližih postali su svakodnevica diljem Ukrajine u posljednjih 100 dana, ali i dalje nisu ništa manje potresni. Tako je Ljudmila odlučila kako je vrijeme da njena najmlađa djeca odu iz grada. Ne može ih pustiti da se igraju vani dok traje bombardiranje i želi da budu negdje na sigurnom. Drži ih dok god može, po jedno ispod svake ruke, dok ipak nije došlo vrijeme za odlazak. A to je bilo ubrzo i za nju previše. Okreće leđa i jeca dok odlaze. “Vidjet ću ih opet kad bombardiranje prestane”, kaže, ali nitko ne zna kad će to biti.

'Okidač' za Ruse

Mikolajiv je bio jedan od prvih gradova koji su napadnuti kada je invazija počela. Ruske snage su se približile granicama grada, ali su potisnute. Ova regija ključna je za rusku strategiju odsjecanja cijele južne obale Ukrajine. Proboj na ovom mjestu omogućio bi snagama Kremlja da se približe Odesi, najvećoj civilnoj luci u zemlji, 130 km zapadno.

Ruski napadi pojačani su posljednjih tjedana, što je izazvalo strahove da će Kremlj, ako prevlada u Donbasu, koncentrirati svoje snage na jugu i ponovno pokušati zauzeti Mikolajiv. Guverner grada Vitalij Kim kaže: "Mikolajiv, poput Hersona, poput Mariupolja, okidač je za Ruse", rekao je. "Razočarani su što idemo u protunapad. Imamo motiv i volju za pobjedu”, kaže dok stoji ispred svog bivšeg ureda, zgrade regionalne uprave, koju je još u ožujku raszorio krstareći projektil, usmrtivši 36 ljudi. Početkom ovog tjedna dvije su osobe poginule kada su Rusi granatirali stambeni blok i igralište.

Vitalij Kim svjestan je rizika ostanka u gradu: “Ne znam više što je živjeti normalnim životom. Jako želim završiti rat, ali ne mogu. Sve, svaki ljudski resurs, novac, vrijeme troši se samo na pobjedu."

Ovaj se grad doista pokazao iznimno otpornim. Voda je u njemu predragocjena – opskrba je prekinuta nakon što je Rusija zauzela susjedni Herson. Redovi za punjenje boca često su dugi, a lipanjske temperature kreću se oko 30ºC. A ipak, ljudi su ovdje uspjeli pronaći način da se opskrbe. Svakodnevne udare granata gotovo da i  ne registriraju. Većina ljudi jedva diže pogled s kave dok sjede na klupama u parku.

'Bojim se da me ne otmu i odvedu'

30 km južno od Mikolajiva sela je blizu crte bojišnice iz kojeg su se Rusi povukli u ožujku. Deseci obitelji vratili su se otkako su invazijske snage potisnute. Seoska glavarica, Natalija Panaši, pokazuje što su napravili s kraterima od bombi: “Vidite, pretvorila sam ih u cvjetne gredice. Hvala Bogu, držimo se. Ponekad se jako bojim da me jednostavno ne otmu i odvedu. S druge strane, siguran sam, a to govorim i svima ostalima, da oni ovdje nemaju što raditi. Da, zabrinuti smo da bi Rusi mogli krenuti u ofenzivu, vrlo zabrinuti. Ali vjerujemo da će pobjeda biti naša."

Upravo tada u reportaži BBC-ja čuje se eksplozija kasetne bombe lansirane samo nekoliko kilometara dalje. "Takvi udari su samo zato jer možda neki pijani Rus puca da nas prestraši. Ali ne uspijeva u tome."

Natalia je posljednjih 100 dana proživjela u prkosu i strahu. Priznaje reporterima da će se rasplakati kad odu. Ali, kaže, Rusi su joj već jednom bili na vratima. Odlučna je u tvrdnji da se ipak neće vratiti.

Na Mikolajiv svakodnevno padaju granate. Rusi su na njegovoj istočnoj i južnoj periferiji, udaraju po okolnim selima i tjeraju tisuće ljudi u bijeg. Zavijanje sirene za zračni napad uvod je u eksploziju s desne strane vozila u kojem su se novinari BBC-ja probijali kroz predgrađe ove velike luke. Pratili su kombi Crvenog križa koji pokušava spasiti još neke od onih koji su pod stalnim granatiranjem.

Oproštaji od najbližih postali su svakodnevica diljem Ukrajine u posljednjih 100 dana, ali i dalje nisu ništa manje potresni. Tako je Ljudmila odlučila kako je vrijeme da njena najmlađa djeca odu iz grada. Ne može ih pustiti da se igraju vani dok traje bombardiranje i želi da budu negdje na sigurnom. Drži ih dok god može, po jedno ispod svake ruke, dok ipak nije došlo vrijeme za odlazak. A to je bilo ubrzo i za nju previše. Okreće leđa i jeca dok odlaze. “Vidjet ću ih opet kad bombardiranje prestane”, kaže, ali nitko ne zna kad će to biti.

'Okidač' za Ruse

Mikolajiv je bio jedan od prvih gradova koji su napadnuti kada je invazija počela. Ruske snage su se približile granicama grada, ali su potisnute. Ova regija ključna je za rusku strategiju odsjecanja cijele južne obale Ukrajine. Proboj na ovom mjestu omogućio bi snagama Kremlja da se približe Odesi, najvećoj civilnoj luci u zemlji, 130 km zapadno.

Ruski napadi pojačani su posljednjih tjedana, što je izazvalo strahove da će Kremlj, ako prevlada u Donbasu, koncentrirati svoje snage na jugu i ponovno pokušati zauzeti Mikolajiv. Guverner grada Vitalij Kim kaže: "Mikolajiv, poput Hersona, poput Mariupolja, okidač je za Ruse", rekao je. "Razočarani su što idemo u protunapad. Imamo motiv i volju za pobjedu”, kaže dok stoji ispred svog bivšeg ureda, zgrade regionalne uprave, koju je još u ožujku raszorio krstareći projektil, usmrtivši 36 ljudi. Početkom ovog tjedna dvije su osobe poginule kada su Rusi granatirali stambeni blok i igralište.

Vitalij Kim svjestan je rizika ostanka u gradu: “Ne znam više što je živjeti normalnim životom. Jako želim završiti rat, ali ne mogu. Sve, svaki ljudski resurs, novac, vrijeme troši se samo na pobjedu."

Ovaj se grad doista pokazao iznimno otpornim. Voda je u njemu predragocjena – opskrba je prekinuta nakon što je Rusija zauzela susjedni Herson. Redovi za punjenje boca često su dugi, a lipanjske temperature kreću se oko 30ºC. A ipak, ljudi su ovdje uspjeli pronaći način da se opskrbe. Svakodnevne udare granata gotovo da i  ne registriraju. Većina ljudi jedva diže pogled s kave dok sjede na klupama u parku.

'Bojim se da me ne otmu i odvedu'

30 km južno od Mikolajiva sela je blizu crte bojišnice iz kojeg su se Rusi povukli u ožujku. Deseci obitelji vratili su se otkako su invazijske snage potisnute. Seoska glavarica, Natalija Panaši, pokazuje što su napravili s kraterima od bombi: “Vidite, pretvorila sam ih u cvjetne gredice. Hvala Bogu, držimo se. Ponekad se jako bojim da me jednostavno ne otmu i odvedu. S druge strane, siguran sam, a to govorim i svima ostalima, da oni ovdje nemaju što raditi. Da, zabrinuti smo da bi Rusi mogli krenuti u ofenzivu, vrlo zabrinuti. Ali vjerujemo da će pobjeda biti naša."

Upravo tada u reportaži BBC-ja čuje se eksplozija kasetne bombe lansirane samo nekoliko kilometara dalje. "Takvi udari su samo zato jer možda neki pijani Rus puca da nas prestraši. Ali ne uspijeva u tome."

Natalia je posljednjih 100 dana proživjela u prkosu i strahu. Priznaje reporterima da će se rasplakati kad odu. Ali, kaže, Rusi su joj već jednom bili na vratima. Odlučna je u tvrdnji da se ipak neće vratiti.
