Američka biotehnološka tvrtka Moderna priopćila je u četvrtak kako očekuje da će u prvom tromjesečju 2021. godine globalno imati na raspolaganju između 100 i 125 milijuna doza svojeg eksperimentalnog cjepiva za covid-19.

Moderna je priopćila da će od toga 85 do 100 milijuna doza biti dostupno u Sjedinjenim Američkim Državama, a 15 do 25 milijuna izvan te zemlje.

Planirana količina dostupnoga cjepiva u prvome tromjesečju sljedeće godine dio je ukupno najavljenih 500 milijuna do milijardu doza, koliko Moderna planira globalno proizvesti u 2021.

Rezultati rane faze kliničkih ispitivanja pokazali su da Modernino cjepivo mRNA-1273 proizvodi visoku razinu povezujućih i neutralizirajućih antitijela čija se količina s vremenom blago smanjuje, ali ostaje povišena kod svih sudionika tri mjeseca nakon primanja prve doze, priopćila je ta tvrtka.

Cjepivo Moderne za covid-19 proizvodi protutijela koja traju 90 dana nakon cijepljenja, što je dobra vijest dok se njegovo odobravanje propituje u nekim zemljama, pokazuje studija na 34 sudionika u početnim kliničkim ispitivanjima, objavljena u četvrtak u medicinskom časopisu New England Journal of Medicine.

Trajanje zaštite je svakako dulje od tri mjeseca, ali je riječ o prvim podacima u višemjesečnom razdoblju koje je neovisno potvrdio neki znanstveni časopis. Sudionike će se pratiti 13 mjeseci kako bi se ispitala zaštita na dulje vrijeme, ističu autori.

Znanstvenici Nacionalnih instituta za zdravlje ispitivali su razinu dvaju tipova antitijela na koronavirus 90 dana nakon druge doze cjepiva koja se uzima 28 dana nakon prve.

Zapazili su "lagan" i očekivan pad razine antitijela kod cijepljenih sudionika, ali je ona i dalje bila visoka.

Usto u takozvanoj 1. fazi ispitivanja koje je počelo u ožujku, nije zapažen nikakav ozbiljniji neželjeni učinak.

Protutijela su samo dio imunog odgovora u kojemu sudjeluju limfociti B (imunsko pamćenje, proizvodnja protutijela) i T (ubijaju zaražene stanice).

Znanstvenici ističu da podatci o stanicama s imunskim pamćenjem još nisu poznati, ali su ranije studije pokazale da cjepivo doista potiče stanice ubojice.

Anthony Fauci, ravnatelj Instituta za zarazne bolesti, rekao je nedavno za AFP da je "siguran" da će imunsko pamćenje koje stvara cjepivo trajati stanovito vrijeme. No "ne znamo hoće li to biti jednu, dvije, tri ili pet godina", rekao je.

Vrijeme će pokazati.

"Ovo je, sve u svemu, dosta dobra vijest", rekao je u četvrtak za AFP Benjamin Neuman, profesor na teksaškom sveučilištu A&M u vezi s novom studijom, istaknuvši da je čak i kod starijih imuni odgovor "prilično snažan".

Američka biotehnološka tvrtka Moderna priopćila je u četvrtak kako očekuje da će u prvom tromjesečju 2021. godine globalno imati na raspolaganju između 100 i 125 milijuna doza svojeg eksperimentalnog cjepiva za covid-19.

Moderna je priopćila da će od toga 85 do 100 milijuna doza biti dostupno u Sjedinjenim Američkim Državama, a 15 do 25 milijuna izvan te zemlje.

Planirana količina dostupnoga cjepiva u prvome tromjesečju sljedeće godine dio je ukupno najavljenih 500 milijuna do milijardu doza, koliko Moderna planira globalno proizvesti u 2021.

Rezultati rane faze kliničkih ispitivanja pokazali su da Modernino cjepivo mRNA-1273 proizvodi visoku razinu povezujućih i neutralizirajućih antitijela čija se količina s vremenom blago smanjuje, ali ostaje povišena kod svih sudionika tri mjeseca nakon primanja prve doze, priopćila je ta tvrtka.

Cjepivo Moderne za covid-19 proizvodi protutijela koja traju 90 dana nakon cijepljenja, što je dobra vijest dok se njegovo odobravanje propituje u nekim zemljama, pokazuje studija na 34 sudionika u početnim kliničkim ispitivanjima, objavljena u četvrtak u medicinskom časopisu New England Journal of Medicine.

Trajanje zaštite je svakako dulje od tri mjeseca, ali je riječ o prvim podacima u višemjesečnom razdoblju koje je neovisno potvrdio neki znanstveni časopis. Sudionike će se pratiti 13 mjeseci kako bi se ispitala zaštita na dulje vrijeme, ističu autori.

Znanstvenici Nacionalnih instituta za zdravlje ispitivali su razinu dvaju tipova antitijela na koronavirus 90 dana nakon druge doze cjepiva koja se uzima 28 dana nakon prve.

Zapazili su "lagan" i očekivan pad razine antitijela kod cijepljenih sudionika, ali je ona i dalje bila visoka.

Usto u takozvanoj 1. fazi ispitivanja koje je počelo u ožujku, nije zapažen nikakav ozbiljniji neželjeni učinak.

Protutijela su samo dio imunog odgovora u kojemu sudjeluju limfociti B (imunsko pamćenje, proizvodnja protutijela) i T (ubijaju zaražene stanice).

Znanstvenici ističu da podatci o stanicama s imunskim pamćenjem još nisu poznati, ali su ranije studije pokazale da cjepivo doista potiče stanice ubojice.

Anthony Fauci, ravnatelj Instituta za zarazne bolesti, rekao je nedavno za AFP da je "siguran" da će imunsko pamćenje koje stvara cjepivo trajati stanovito vrijeme. No "ne znamo hoće li to biti jednu, dvije, tri ili pet godina", rekao je.

Vrijeme će pokazati.

"Ovo je, sve u svemu, dosta dobra vijest", rekao je u četvrtak za AFP Benjamin Neuman, profesor na teksaškom sveučilištu A&M u vezi s novom studijom, istaknuvši da je čak i kod starijih imuni odgovor "prilično snažan".

Najnovija studija pokazala da Modernino cjepivo protiv koronavirusa pruža imunitet najmanje tri mjeseca, u prvoj fazi plasirat će 125 milijuna doza

Američka biotehnološka tvrtka Moderna priopćila je u četvrtak kako očekuje da će u prvom tromjesečju 2021. godine globalno imati na raspolaganju između 100 i 125 milijuna doza svojeg eksperimentalnog cjepiva za covid-19.

Moderna je priopćila da će od toga 85 do 100 milijuna doza biti dostupno u Sjedinjenim Američkim Državama, a 15 do 25 milijuna izvan te zemlje.

Planirana količina dostupnoga cjepiva u prvome tromjesečju sljedeće godine dio je ukupno najavljenih 500 milijuna do milijardu doza, koliko Moderna planira globalno proizvesti u 2021.
