Rusija je napravila prve primjerke "nezaustavljivog" nuklearnog torpeda namijenjenog devastiranju priobalnih gradova stvaranjem radioaktivnih tsunamija, tvrde ruski državni mediji.

"Prvi set Posejdona je proizveden, a nuklearna podmornica Belgorod će ih dobiti u vrlo bliskoj budućnosti", izvijestila je moskovska novinska agencija Tass, pozivajući se na neimenovani izvor u Ministarstvu obrane.

Nuklearni torpedo Posejdon vuče korijene iz sovjetskih planova za slučaj nuklearnog rata s SAD-om. Projekti sovjetske Moskve su bavili oružjem koje bi obalne gradove u SAD-u učinilo potpuno nenastanjivim. Otkako je počeo rat u Ukrajini, kremaljski propagandisti često su prijetili da će takvim torpedom zauvijek uništiti London, piše britanski Telegraph.

Projekt Posejdon je Putin prvi put predstavio 2018. godine, i po svemu sudeći se radi o novoj vrsti ‘oružja za odmazdu‘. Torpedo dugačak čak 24 metra dizajniran je da podvodno putuje do 130 kilometara na sat, noseći nuklearnu bojevu glavu od dvije megatone. To je snaga više od stotinu puta jača od atomske bombe svojedobno bačene na Hirošimu.

Christopher Ford, nekadašnji pomoćnik američkog državnog tajnika za međunarodnu sigurnost, upozorio je još 2020. da je oružje dizajnirano za “preplavljivanje američkih obalnih gradova radioaktivnim tsunamijem”. Američki pomorski institut, vojni think-tank, ustvrdio je kako je razvoj Posejdona okrenuo pretpostavke o nuklearnom oružju koje se lansira s podmornice naglavačke. Oni očekuju da će oružje ući u punu upotrebu oko 2027. godine, jer navodno ima dosta tehničkih poteškoća.

U studenome prošle godine američki obavještajni dužnosnici izvijestili su da su početni testovi na moru bili neuspješni.

Torpedo je trebao biti probno testiran na Arktiku ispaljenjem s Belgoroda, koja je sa 178 metara dužine najveća nuklearna podmornica na svijetu. No, Belgorod se navodno vratio u luku Severomorsk, bazu ruske Sjeverne flote, bez ikakvih dokaza da je Posejdon bio uspješno testiran.

TASS je izvijestio da je posada podmornice u međuvremenu završila testove s modelima ovog torpeda, no zapadni analitičari opominju kako Kremlj ima dugu povijest preuveličavanja sposobnosti svoga novorazvijenog oružja.

Justin Crump iz tvrtke Sibylline, koja se bavi geopolitičkim rizicima, izjavio je da je Posejdon prvenstveno oružje odvraćajuće namjene, dizajnirano da izbjegne mehanizme obrane od sličnih projektila. Postoji vrlo malo potvrđenih detalja o ovom oružju, osim očiglednih ruskih simulacija napada na neprijateljske nosače zrakoplova i obale.

Prošle je godine ruski emiter pustio u javnost video koji navodno dokazuje kako torpedo Posejdon može "cijelu Britaniju uroniti u morske dubine". U svojoj tv-emisiji u udarnom terminu, Dmitrij Kiseljov, vodeći propagandist Kremlja, rekao je da bi oružje moglo Britaniju pretvoriti u pustoš utapanjem u 500 metara visokom tsunamiju radioaktivne morske vode. Kao odgovor na britansku odluku da pošalje 14 tenkova tipa Challenger II u Ukrajinu, umirovljeni ruski general Andrej Guruljev, još jedan Putinov lojalist, izjavio je da Britaniju kao zemlju „treba zbrisati s lica Zemlje ". Projekt Posejdon zasad očito više služi ruskome zastrašivanju ukrajinskih saveznika, nego ozbiljnoj primjeni.

Rusija je napravila prve primjerke "nezaustavljivog" nuklearnog torpeda namijenjenog devastiranju priobalnih gradova stvaranjem radioaktivnih tsunamija, tvrde ruski državni mediji.

"Prvi set Posejdona je proizveden, a nuklearna podmornica Belgorod će ih dobiti u vrlo bliskoj budućnosti", izvijestila je moskovska novinska agencija Tass, pozivajući se na neimenovani izvor u Ministarstvu obrane.

Nuklearni torpedo Posejdon vuče korijene iz sovjetskih planova za slučaj nuklearnog rata s SAD-om. Projekti sovjetske Moskve su bavili oružjem koje bi obalne gradove u SAD-u učinilo potpuno nenastanjivim. Otkako je počeo rat u Ukrajini, kremaljski propagandisti često su prijetili da će takvim torpedom zauvijek uništiti London, piše britanski Telegraph.

Projekt Posejdon je Putin prvi put predstavio 2018. godine, i po svemu sudeći se radi o novoj vrsti ‘oružja za odmazdu‘. Torpedo dugačak čak 24 metra dizajniran je da podvodno putuje do 130 kilometara na sat, noseći nuklearnu bojevu glavu od dvije megatone. To je snaga više od stotinu puta jača od atomske bombe svojedobno bačene na Hirošimu.

Christopher Ford, nekadašnji pomoćnik američkog državnog tajnika za međunarodnu sigurnost, upozorio je još 2020. da je oružje dizajnirano za “preplavljivanje američkih obalnih gradova radioaktivnim tsunamijem”. Američki pomorski institut, vojni think-tank, ustvrdio je kako je razvoj Posejdona okrenuo pretpostavke o nuklearnom oružju koje se lansira s podmornice naglavačke. Oni očekuju da će oružje ući u punu upotrebu oko 2027. godine, jer navodno ima dosta tehničkih poteškoća.

U studenome prošle godine američki obavještajni dužnosnici izvijestili su da su početni testovi na moru bili neuspješni.

Torpedo je trebao biti probno testiran na Arktiku ispaljenjem s Belgoroda, koja je sa 178 metara dužine najveća nuklearna podmornica na svijetu. No, Belgorod se navodno vratio u luku Severomorsk, bazu ruske Sjeverne flote, bez ikakvih dokaza da je Posejdon bio uspješno testiran.

TASS je izvijestio da je posada podmornice u međuvremenu završila testove s modelima ovog torpeda, no zapadni analitičari opominju kako Kremlj ima dugu povijest preuveličavanja sposobnosti svoga novorazvijenog oružja.

Justin Crump iz tvrtke Sibylline, koja se bavi geopolitičkim rizicima, izjavio je da je Posejdon prvenstveno oružje odvraćajuće namjene, dizajnirano da izbjegne mehanizme obrane od sličnih projektila. Postoji vrlo malo potvrđenih detalja o ovom oružju, osim očiglednih ruskih simulacija napada na neprijateljske nosače zrakoplova i obale.

Prošle je godine ruski emiter pustio u javnost video koji navodno dokazuje kako torpedo Posejdon može "cijelu Britaniju uroniti u morske dubine". U svojoj tv-emisiji u udarnom terminu, Dmitrij Kiseljov, vodeći propagandist Kremlja, rekao je da bi oružje moglo Britaniju pretvoriti u pustoš utapanjem u 500 metara visokom tsunamiju radioaktivne morske vode. Kao odgovor na britansku odluku da pošalje 14 tenkova tipa Challenger II u Ukrajinu, umirovljeni ruski general Andrej Guruljev, još jedan Putinov lojalist, izjavio je da Britaniju kao zemlju „treba zbrisati s lica Zemlje ". Projekt Posejdon zasad očito više služi ruskome zastrašivanju ukrajinskih saveznika, nego ozbiljnoj primjeni.
