Najprije loša vijest: ni ove godine tisuće ljudi obučenih u kostime Super Marija, Lare Croft ili Geralda von Rivia neće preplaviti Köln. Drugi put zaredom Gamescom se održava samo virtualno. A sad dobra vijest: svi oni koji su u vremenima prije korone plaćali i po 20 eura za dnevnu ulaznicu sada mogu besplatno "obići" najveći svjetski sajam kompjutorskih igara.

Ovogodišnji Gamescom se održava pod motom "Nova realnost”, i za razliku od svog analognog prethodnika, sve karte polaže na što je moguće masovniju publiku. Cilj sajma je privući još više virtualnih posjetitelja nego 2020. Prošle godine je oko dva milijuna ljudi iz cijelog svijeta preko svojih digitalnih uređaja pratilo ceremoniju otvaranja. A ukupno je više od 50 milijuna ljudi barem jednokratno "navratilo" na virtualni Gamescom, piše Nicolas Martin za Deutsche Welle.

Šef kelnskog sajma Oliver Frese za ovogodišnje izdanje Gamescoma dogovorio je suradnju s moćnim partnerima: među njima su Amazonova tvrtka Twitch, Facebook-Gaming, Youtube, ali i kineski streaming-servisi poput Douyua ili Bilibilija. "Zahvaljujući dometu, sajam je atraktivan i platformama", kaže Frese.

Uz pomoć suradnje sa 60 međunarodnih kompanija iz gaming-branše, Gamescom je uspio udvostručiti broj kooperacija u odnosu na 2020. Na sajmu će osim toga još i 255 manjih proizvođača igara prezentirati svoje novitete, ali i one igre koje su se već etablirale na tržištu.

Gaming-industrija jedan je od najvećih profitera pandemije koronavirusa. Branša je već u prošloj godini zabilježila veliki rast prometa.

"Mi smo zapravo pretpostavljali da će nakon toga rast jedno vrijeme stagnirati", priča Felix Falk, šef Gamea, udruženja tvrtki iz gaming-branše. Ali podaci za prvo polugodište 2021., koje je prikupila njegova organizacija, pokazuju da je promet hardwarea i softwarea u sektoru kompjutorskih i video-igara u Njemačkoj narastao na 4,6 milijardi eura. U prva dva kvartala prošle godine promet je iznosio "samo" 3,8 milijardi. To je porast od 22 posto.

Istraživanje Bitkoma, udruženja njemačkih tvrtki iz područja digitalne industrije, pokazalo je da u Njemačkoj u međuvremenu polovica stanovništva konzumira igre, barem povremeno. Rast se bilježi u svim starosnim skupinama, a najveća stopa relativnog rasta uočena je kod populacije starije od 65 godina. U apsolutnim brojkama najveću zajednicu igrača čine mladi u dobi između 16 i 29 godina. Zanimljiv je još jedan rezultat Bitkomovog istraživanja: prije pandemije se u prosjeku igralo po pet sati tjedno. A sada se ispred konzole, računala ili smartphonea tjedno provede u prosjeku po 8,5 sati. Više od tri četvrtine igrača za to zadovoljstvo – plaća.

"Neflixacija" branše

Iako je Njemačka po pitanju prometa gaming-branše među vodećim zemljama u svijetu, po navodima udruženja Game, samo pet posto igara potječe iz Njemačke. "Jedan od razloga je i to što su druge zemlje već odavno shvatile da je gaming itekako važna branša budućnosti, i što oni tu branšu eksplicitno podržavaju, na primjer u Kanadi, Francuskoj, Engleskoj ili Poljskoj. Njemačka je pomalo prespavala taj razvoj", kaže lobist Falk za Deutsche Welle.

Od 2019. Njemačka subvencionira gaming-branšu s oko 50 milijuna eura godišnje. To je bilo dovoljno da se poboljša situacija u sektoru, kaže Falk.

"Ako mi doista želimo na sami svjetski vrh, onda u idućim godinama moramo poboljšati stanje kad se radi o širokopojasnoj mreži, stručnoj radnoj snazi ili digitalnom obrazovanju", dodaje on. Njemačka za sada nije dovoljno atraktivna zemlja za ljude koji rade na razvoju igara. U puno manjim državama poput Švedske ili Finske u prosjeku živi više programera nego u Saveznoj Republici.

Njemačka se ipak može pohvaliti tvrtkama koje nisu poznate u široj javnosti, a vodeće su u svom sektoru. "Hidden Champions" su aktivni na polju igara koje se igra preko browsera ili kod strateških igara, napominje Falk. "U budućnosti nam je potrebno još više tih tvrtki, mi želimo aktivno sudjelovati na tržištu, i gospodarski, ali i tehnološki i kulturološki." Tek će se pokazati mogu li i njemački dizajneri igara profitirati od aktualnih trendova.

Veliki rast aktualno bilježe prije svih Live-Gaming-Events. Na platformama poput Twitcha igraju se razne igre, a korisnici mogu stupiti u interakciju s igračima. Streaming-platforme sve češće se koriste i za emisije u kojima se kuha hranu, ili talkshow-formate. Cilj je izravan dijalog s publikom.

Najveći promet u branši otpada ipak na kupovinu koju igrači obavljaju u okviru neke igre ili aplikacije. U Njemačkoj je na taj način u prvih šest mjeseci ove godine potrošeno oko dvije milijarde eura. Odnosno skoro 50 posto kompletnog prometa. Sve više igrača kupuje "pretplatu". Za određeni mjesečni iznos igrači tako dobiju pristup novim igrama, a novac troše i unutar neke igre, na primjer za kupovinu streljiva ili nove opreme. Taj lagani proces "netflixacije" branše doveo je i do toga da igrači onda manje novca troše za same igre, odnosno nabavu novih igara, piše Deutsche Welle.

Najprije loša vijest: ni ove godine tisuće ljudi obučenih u kostime Super Marija, Lare Croft ili Geralda von Rivia neće preplaviti Köln. Drugi put zaredom Gamescom se održava samo virtualno. A sad dobra vijest: svi oni koji su u vremenima prije korone plaćali i po 20 eura za dnevnu ulaznicu sada mogu besplatno "obići" najveći svjetski sajam kompjutorskih igara.

Ovogodišnji Gamescom se održava pod motom "Nova realnost”, i za razliku od svog analognog prethodnika, sve karte polaže na što je moguće masovniju publiku. Cilj sajma je privući još više virtualnih posjetitelja nego 2020. Prošle godine je oko dva milijuna ljudi iz cijelog svijeta preko svojih digitalnih uređaja pratilo ceremoniju otvaranja. A ukupno je više od 50 milijuna ljudi barem jednokratno "navratilo" na virtualni Gamescom, piše Nicolas Martin za Deutsche Welle.

Šef kelnskog sajma Oliver Frese za ovogodišnje izdanje Gamescoma dogovorio je suradnju s moćnim partnerima: među njima su Amazonova tvrtka Twitch, Facebook-Gaming, Youtube, ali i kineski streaming-servisi poput Douyua ili Bilibilija. "Zahvaljujući dometu, sajam je atraktivan i platformama", kaže Frese.

Uz pomoć suradnje sa 60 međunarodnih kompanija iz gaming-branše, Gamescom je uspio udvostručiti broj kooperacija u odnosu na 2020. Na sajmu će osim toga još i 255 manjih proizvođača igara prezentirati svoje novitete, ali i one igre koje su se već etablirale na tržištu.

Gaming-industrija jedan je od najvećih profitera pandemije koronavirusa. Branša je već u prošloj godini zabilježila veliki rast prometa.

"Mi smo zapravo pretpostavljali da će nakon toga rast jedno vrijeme stagnirati", priča Felix Falk, šef Gamea, udruženja tvrtki iz gaming-branše. Ali podaci za prvo polugodište 2021., koje je prikupila njegova organizacija, pokazuju da je promet hardwarea i softwarea u sektoru kompjutorskih i video-igara u Njemačkoj narastao na 4,6 milijardi eura. U prva dva kvartala prošle godine promet je iznosio "samo" 3,8 milijardi. To je porast od 22 posto.

Istraživanje Bitkoma, udruženja njemačkih tvrtki iz područja digitalne industrije, pokazalo je da u Njemačkoj u međuvremenu polovica stanovništva konzumira igre, barem povremeno. Rast se bilježi u svim starosnim skupinama, a najveća stopa relativnog rasta uočena je kod populacije starije od 65 godina. U apsolutnim brojkama najveću zajednicu igrača čine mladi u dobi između 16 i 29 godina. Zanimljiv je još jedan rezultat Bitkomovog istraživanja: prije pandemije se u prosjeku igralo po pet sati tjedno. A sada se ispred konzole, računala ili smartphonea tjedno provede u prosjeku po 8,5 sati. Više od tri četvrtine igrača za to zadovoljstvo – plaća.

"Neflixacija" branše

Iako je Njemačka po pitanju prometa gaming-branše među vodećim zemljama u svijetu, po navodima udruženja Game, samo pet posto igara potječe iz Njemačke. "Jedan od razloga je i to što su druge zemlje već odavno shvatile da je gaming itekako važna branša budućnosti, i što oni tu branšu eksplicitno podržavaju, na primjer u Kanadi, Francuskoj, Engleskoj ili Poljskoj. Njemačka je pomalo prespavala taj razvoj", kaže lobist Falk za Deutsche Welle.

Od 2019. Njemačka subvencionira gaming-branšu s oko 50 milijuna eura godišnje. To je bilo dovoljno da se poboljša situacija u sektoru, kaže Falk.

"Ako mi doista želimo na sami svjetski vrh, onda u idućim godinama moramo poboljšati stanje kad se radi o širokopojasnoj mreži, stručnoj radnoj snazi ili digitalnom obrazovanju", dodaje on. Njemačka za sada nije dovoljno atraktivna zemlja za ljude koji rade na razvoju igara. U puno manjim državama poput Švedske ili Finske u prosjeku živi više programera nego u Saveznoj Republici.

Njemačka se ipak može pohvaliti tvrtkama koje nisu poznate u široj javnosti, a vodeće su u svom sektoru. "Hidden Champions" su aktivni na polju igara koje se igra preko browsera ili kod strateških igara, napominje Falk. "U budućnosti nam je potrebno još više tih tvrtki, mi želimo aktivno sudjelovati na tržištu, i gospodarski, ali i tehnološki i kulturološki." Tek će se pokazati mogu li i njemački dizajneri igara profitirati od aktualnih trendova.

Veliki rast aktualno bilježe prije svih Live-Gaming-Events. Na platformama poput Twitcha igraju se razne igre, a korisnici mogu stupiti u interakciju s igračima. Streaming-platforme sve češće se koriste i za emisije u kojima se kuha hranu, ili talkshow-formate. Cilj je izravan dijalog s publikom.

Najveći promet u branši otpada ipak na kupovinu koju igrači obavljaju u okviru neke igre ili aplikacije. U Njemačkoj je na taj način u prvih šest mjeseci ove godine potrošeno oko dvije milijarde eura. Odnosno skoro 50 posto kompletnog prometa. Sve više igrača kupuje "pretplatu". Za određeni mjesečni iznos igrači tako dobiju pristup novim igrama, a novac troše i unutar neke igre, na primjer za kupovinu streljiva ili nove opreme. Taj lagani proces "netflixacije" branše doveo je i do toga da igrači onda manje novca troše za same igre, odnosno nabavu novih igara, piše Deutsche Welle.
