Prljavo bogati Elon Musk je početkom tjedna kupio Twitter za svotu otprilike duplo veću nego što je to hrvatski državni godišnji proračun. To je opravdao kazavši: "Twitter u sadašnjoj formi neće služiti kao imperativ za demokraciju i zato mora postati privatna kompanija." Dakle, ljudska civilizacija je upravo stigla do trenutka u kojoj se privatizacija svega - uključujući demokraciju - smatra vizionarskom idejom. Je li u pitanju napredak ili autocesta za distopiju, prosudite sami...
Mnogi sada postavljaju pitanje što se može očekivati od ove društvene mreže u budućnosti. Muskove prvotne najave o slobodi govora i algoritmu otvorenog koda (open source) prilično su općenite te se zaposlenici kompanije, kao i analitičari pitaju koji će biti njegovi prvi konkretni potezi.
Ipak, a zahvaljujući informacijama koje su ovaj tjedan objavljene u medijima, sada se zna nešto više o tim planovima. Naime, kako bi osigurao financiranje tako velikog preuzimanja teškog čak 44 milijarde dolara, Musk treba pomoć banaka te je njegova komunikacija s financijskim institucijama otkrila neke njegove poteze koje namjerava napraviti s Twitterom.
Tako će novi izvršni direktor tvrtke Parag Agrawal, koji je nedavno preuzeo tu poziciju, na njoj će ostati sve dok se prodaja u potpunosti ne zaključi, a nakon toga na njegovo će mjesto sjesti nova osoba. Musk navodno zna tko će biti nova najvažnija osoba ove mreže, no te informacije ipak nije podijelio s bankama, navodi Reuters.
Također, najavio je i smanjenja plaća za članove odbora i direktore, a ono što se sigurno neće svidjeti zaposlenicima tvrtke jest da bi u sklopu tog rezanja troškova razmišlja i o - otkazima. Do njih ipak neće doći dok se akvizicija ne dovrši i Musk bi tek nakon toga trebao krenuti u akciju. Koliko bi ljudi moglo ostati bez posla i u kojim odjelima, zasad nije poznato.
Što se ostalih stvari koje namjerava promijeniti u Twitteru tiče, najavio je nove opcije s kojima želi povećati prihode, a koji uključuju i nove načine zarade od tvitova koji sadrže važne informacije i onih koji postanu viralni. Za citate i ubacivanje takvih tvitova na internetske stranice trećih strana, plaćala bi se provizija. Musk je spomenuo i kako je Twitteru potreban veći angažman poznatih osoba i influencera na toj mreži.
Osim novaca od banaka, ako želi postati vlasnikom te društvene mreže, Musk će morati platiti dio iznosa od 44 milijarde dolara vlastitim novcem te je, od najave preuzimanja Twittera, već prodao Tesline dionice u vrijednosti od oko 8,5 milijardi dolara.

Prljavo bogati Elon Musk je početkom tjedna kupio Twitter za svotu otprilike duplo veću nego što je to hrvatski državni godišnji proračun. To je opravdao kazavši: "Twitter u sadašnjoj formi neće služiti kao imperativ za demokraciju i zato mora postati privatna kompanija." Dakle, ljudska civilizacija je upravo stigla do trenutka u kojoj se privatizacija svega - uključujući demokraciju - smatra vizionarskom idejom. Je li u pitanju napredak ili autocesta za distopiju, prosudite sami...
Mnogi sada postavljaju pitanje što se može očekivati od ove društvene mreže u budućnosti. Muskove prvotne najave o slobodi govora i algoritmu otvorenog koda (open source) prilično su općenite te se zaposlenici kompanije, kao i analitičari pitaju koji će biti njegovi prvi konkretni potezi.
Ipak, a zahvaljujući informacijama koje su ovaj tjedan objavljene u medijima, sada se zna nešto više o tim planovima. Naime, kako bi osigurao financiranje tako velikog preuzimanja teškog čak 44 milijarde dolara, Musk treba pomoć banaka te je njegova komunikacija s financijskim institucijama otkrila neke njegove poteze koje namjerava napraviti s Twitterom.
Tako će novi izvršni direktor tvrtke Parag Agrawal, koji je nedavno preuzeo tu poziciju, na njoj će ostati sve dok se prodaja u potpunosti ne zaključi, a nakon toga na njegovo će mjesto sjesti nova osoba. Musk navodno zna tko će biti nova najvažnija osoba ove mreže, no te informacije ipak nije podijelio s bankama, navodi Reuters.
Također, najavio je i smanjenja plaća za članove odbora i direktore, a ono što se sigurno neće svidjeti zaposlenicima tvrtke jest da bi u sklopu tog rezanja troškova razmišlja i o - otkazima. Do njih ipak neće doći dok se akvizicija ne dovrši i Musk bi tek nakon toga trebao krenuti u akciju. Koliko bi ljudi moglo ostati bez posla i u kojim odjelima, zasad nije poznato.
Što se ostalih stvari koje namjerava promijeniti u Twitteru tiče, najavio je nove opcije s kojima želi povećati prihode, a koji uključuju i nove načine zarade od tvitova koji sadrže važne informacije i onih koji postanu viralni. Za citate i ubacivanje takvih tvitova na internetske stranice trećih strana, plaćala bi se provizija. Musk je spomenuo i kako je Twitteru potreban veći angažman poznatih osoba i influencera na toj mreži.
Osim novaca od banaka, ako želi postati vlasnikom te društvene mreže, Musk će morati platiti dio iznosa od 44 milijarde dolara vlastitim novcem te je, od najave preuzimanja Twittera, već prodao Tesline dionice u vrijednosti od oko 8,5 milijardi dolara.
