Europska unija uvodi strože standarde kad je riječ o olovu i kadmiju u hrani u sklopu šireg plana za prevenciju raka.

Od ponedjeljka se primjenjuju nova ograničenja za olovo u hrani za novorođenčad, začinima, vinima i soli, a od utorka nova ograničenja za kadmij u voću, povrću, žitaricama i uljaricama.

"U sklopu nastojanja da se poboljša zdravlje kroz pristup zdravoj prehrani i fizičkoj aktivnosti u okviru Europskog plana za borbu protiv raka, odlučili smo dodatno smanjiti prisutnost kancerogenih onečišćivača u hrani", rekla je europska povjerenica za zdravlje Stella Kyriakides.

Olovo i kadmij su toksični kancerogeni. Novi standardi temelje se na novim podacima koji pokazuju da ne postoji prag ispod kojeg se može sa sigurnošću isključiti njihovo štetno djelovanje na ljudsko zdravlje. 

Europska agencija za sigurnost hrane također je nedavno izrazila zabrinutost da izloženost olovu u hrani može utjecati na neurološki razvoj fetusa, novorođenčadi i djece.

Razmjerno visoke razine olova detektirane su u algama, ribi, morskim plodovima i dodacima prehrani.

Njemačko ministarstvo za zaštitu okoliša upozorilo je da i druge namirnice kao što su proizvodi od žitarica i povrće mogu u značajnoj mjeri pridonijeti unosu olova premda ga sadrže u relativno malim količinama, ali ih ljudi puno konzumiraju.

Za većinu vrsta soli po novim će pravilima vrijediti maksimalni limit od 1 mg olova po kilogramu. 

Kadmij u okoliš dolazi procesima izgaranja ili talogom od otpadnih voda, a u tlo može dospjeti putem fosfatnih gnojiva.

Europska unija uvodi strože standarde kad je riječ o olovu i kadmiju u hrani u sklopu šireg plana za prevenciju raka.

Od ponedjeljka se primjenjuju nova ograničenja za olovo u hrani za novorođenčad, začinima, vinima i soli, a od utorka nova ograničenja za kadmij u voću, povrću, žitaricama i uljaricama.

"U sklopu nastojanja da se poboljša zdravlje kroz pristup zdravoj prehrani i fizičkoj aktivnosti u okviru Europskog plana za borbu protiv raka, odlučili smo dodatno smanjiti prisutnost kancerogenih onečišćivača u hrani", rekla je europska povjerenica za zdravlje Stella Kyriakides.

Olovo i kadmij su toksični kancerogeni. Novi standardi temelje se na novim podacima koji pokazuju da ne postoji prag ispod kojeg se može sa sigurnošću isključiti njihovo štetno djelovanje na ljudsko zdravlje. 

Europska agencija za sigurnost hrane također je nedavno izrazila zabrinutost da izloženost olovu u hrani može utjecati na neurološki razvoj fetusa, novorođenčadi i djece.

Razmjerno visoke razine olova detektirane su u algama, ribi, morskim plodovima i dodacima prehrani.

Njemačko ministarstvo za zaštitu okoliša upozorilo je da i druge namirnice kao što su proizvodi od žitarica i povrće mogu u značajnoj mjeri pridonijeti unosu olova premda ga sadrže u relativno malim količinama, ali ih ljudi puno konzumiraju.

Za većinu vrsta soli po novim će pravilima vrijediti maksimalni limit od 1 mg olova po kilogramu. 

Kadmij u okoliš dolazi procesima izgaranja ili talogom od otpadnih voda, a u tlo može dospjeti putem fosfatnih gnojiva.

Europska unija uvodi strože standarde kad je riječ o olovu i kadmiju u hrani u sklopu šireg plana za prevenciju raka.

Od ponedjeljka se primjenjuju nova ograničenja za olovo u hrani za novorođenčad, začinima, vinima i soli, a od utorka nova ograničenja za kadmij u voću, povrću, žitaricama i uljaricama.

"U sklopu nastojanja da se poboljša zdravlje kroz pristup zdravoj prehrani i fizičkoj aktivnosti u okviru Europskog plana za borbu protiv raka, odlučili smo dodatno smanjiti prisutnost kancerogenih onečišćivača u hrani", rekla je europska povjerenica za zdravlje Stella Kyriakides.

Olovo i kadmij su toksični kancerogeni. Novi standardi temelje se na novim podacima koji pokazuju da ne postoji prag ispod kojeg se može sa sigurnošću isključiti njihovo štetno...
