U uredništvu utjecajnih berlinskih novina "Berliner Zeitung" u tijeku je provjera zaposlenika nakon što je u ponedjeljak otkriveno da su dvojica urednika svojedobno bili doušnici istočnonjemačke tajne službe STASI.
Oko 120 zaposlenika lista bit će ispitani pred vanjskim, neovisnim istražnim tijelom, izjavio je u ponedjeljak glavni urednik "Berliner Zeitunga" Josef Depenbrock.
- Stalo nam je do toga da ne izgubimo naš novinarski integritet - izjavio je Depenbrock njemačkoj novinskoj agenciji dpa.
Prema njegovim riječima, voditelj uredništva politike Thomas Leinkauf i još jedan urednik priznali su da su surađivali sa STASI-jem i ispričali se kolegama. Ovaj potonji je bio doušnik STASI-ja od svoje 18. godine do političkog preokreta u DDR-u 1989.
Tijekom proteklog vikenda otkriveno je da je Leinkauf kao student 70-ih godina prošlog stoljeća bio "neslužbeni suradnik" STASI-ja pod kodnim imenom "Gregor".
Berliner Zeitung" bio je za vrijeme komunističkih vlasti organ vladajućeg komunističkog SED-a. Nakon političkih promjena list su preuzeli zapadnonjemački izdavači, a od 2005. vlasnik mu je Mecom Group britanskog ulagača Davida Montgomeryja. Kao list koji izlazi u njemačkom glavnom gradu, "Berliner Zeitung" nastoji postati jedna od vodećih novina u cijeloj Njemačkoj.
Depenbrock je podsjetio da su u tijeku provjera novinara koji su radili za novine u DDR-u zbog moguće suradnje sa STASI-jem, provjereni i suradnici "Berliner Zeitunga". Sad je postalo očito da provjera u nekoliko slučajeva nije bila temeljita i da neki bivši doušnici nisu otkriveni.
Ljudski gledano, tragično je da su oba urednika o kojima je riječ zaslužila priznanja za dobar rad, ali doušničke usluge za STASI ne smiju se umanjivati niti prikazivati beznačajnima, izjavio je Depenbrock.
- Moramo jamčiti neovisno i nepristrano izvješćivanje- dodao je glavni urednik "Berliner Zeitunga".
List je već neko vrijeme u središtu pozornosti njemačke javnosti i zbog toga što uredništvo predbacuje vlasniku da ugrožava kvalitetu novina tako što radikalnim mjerama štednje nastoji povećati dobit. Uredničko vijeće prije nekoliko tjedana zbog toga je zahtijevalo smjenu glavnog urednika Depenbrocka.

U uredništvu utjecajnih berlinskih novina "Berliner Zeitung" u tijeku je provjera zaposlenika nakon što je u ponedjeljak otkriveno da su dvojica urednika svojedobno bili doušnici istočnonjemačke tajne službe STASI.
Oko 120 zaposlenika lista bit će ispitani pred vanjskim, neovisnim istražnim tijelom, izjavio je u ponedjeljak glavni urednik "Berliner Zeitunga" Josef Depenbrock.
- Stalo nam je do toga da ne izgubimo naš novinarski integritet - izjavio je Depenbrock njemačkoj novinskoj agenciji dpa.
Prema njegovim riječima, voditelj uredništva politike Thomas Leinkauf i još jedan urednik priznali su da su surađivali sa STASI-jem i ispričali se kolegama. Ovaj potonji je bio doušnik STASI-ja od svoje 18. godine do političkog preokreta u DDR-u 1989.
Tijekom proteklog vikenda otkriveno je da je Leinkauf kao student 70-ih godina prošlog stoljeća bio "neslužbeni suradnik" STASI-ja pod kodnim imenom "Gregor".
Berliner Zeitung" bio je za vrijeme komunističkih vlasti organ vladajućeg komunističkog SED-a. Nakon političkih promjena list su preuzeli zapadnonjemački izdavači, a od 2005. vlasnik mu je Mecom Group britanskog ulagača Davida Montgomeryja. Kao list koji izlazi u njemačkom glavnom gradu, "Berliner Zeitung" nastoji postati jedna od vodećih novina u cijeloj Njemačkoj.
Depenbrock je podsjetio da su u tijeku provjera novinara koji su radili za novine u DDR-u zbog moguće suradnje sa STASI-jem, provjereni i suradnici "Berliner Zeitunga". Sad je postalo očito da provjera u nekoliko slučajeva nije bila temeljita i da neki bivši doušnici nisu otkriveni.
Ljudski gledano, tragično je da su oba urednika o kojima je riječ zaslužila priznanja za dobar rad, ali doušničke usluge za STASI ne smiju se umanjivati niti prikazivati beznačajnima, izjavio je Depenbrock.
- Moramo jamčiti neovisno i nepristrano izvješćivanje- dodao je glavni urednik "Berliner Zeitunga".
List je već neko vrijeme u središtu pozornosti njemačke javnosti i zbog toga što uredništvo predbacuje vlasniku da ugrožava kvalitetu novina tako što radikalnim mjerama štednje nastoji povećati dobit. Uredničko vijeće prije nekoliko tjedana zbog toga je zahtijevalo smjenu glavnog urednika Depenbrocka.
