Španjolski otok Mallorca glasio je za 'partijanersku' destinaciju za brojne turiste, no nakon što je pandemija uništila taj sektor brojni su ljudi ostali bez posla, a kako bi prehranile svoje obitelji i izbjegle krajnje siromaštvo neke su žene, ponajviše samohrane majke, rješenje vidjele u seksualnoj djelatnosti.
Zbog pandemije koronavirusa, broj turista na tom španjolskom otoku pao je 2020. gotovo 90 posto i proći će još mjeseci prije nego se stanje na Mallorci i ostalim Balearskim otocima počne vraćati u normalu, piše u ponedjeljak dpa.
Žene koje se za svoju egzistenciju na Mallorci sada bore kao seksualne radnice najčešće su samohrane majke i to rade prvi puta ili se radi o konobaricama i čistačicama koje su izgubile posao.
"Za mnoge od njih je okretanje ili povratak prostituciji jedini način da priskrbe za svoju obitelj", kazali su Inmaculada Mas Nadal i Rafa Campos iz udruge Liječnici svijeta.
Prošle godine je pomoć te udruge primilo 1168 žena koje na Mallorci i ostalim otocima rade kao seksualne radnice. Od navedenog broja, njih 439 je pomoć zatražilo prvi put.
Među njima je i Marokanka Leila, nova u seksualnoj industriji koja je zbog pandemije i zatvaranja zemlje izgubila posao u kuhinji restorana.
Svoj posao, rekla je za novine Ultima Hora, taji od obitelji te dodaje: "Moram slati novac majci i mojoj braći i sestrama. Siromašni smo".
Priznaje da ne zarađuje puno i da danima nije imala klijenta.
Velika ponuda i mala potražnja također je srušila cijenu "kompletne usluge" na svega 15 eura u središtu Palme, nedaleko od najpopularnije i skupe šoping zone Passeig del Born.
Seksualne radnice, kako navodi list, rade po 12 sati dnevo i tjedno zarade tek 100 eura.
Zbog velike konkurencije same ruše cijenu, a mnoge pristaju na seks bez zaštite, upozoravaju Liječnici svijeta.
Klijenti su sada u jačoj poziciji u pregovaranju cijena i usluga i to iskorištavaju, upozorava udruga.
I ne samo to, uvjeti rada su daleko opasniji nego prije, ne samo zbog koronavirusa već i zbog činjenice da svodnici i krijumčari ljudima vrše na žene sve veći pritisak.
Na trgu Sant Antoni žene tvrde da nemaju svodnike, no novinar Tolo Leal Perello tvrdi da ne govore istinu.
"Neke duguju i do 7000 eura trgovcima ljudi koji su ih doveli u Španjolsku i taj dug ih tjera da rade za bilo koju cijenu. Fizičko i psihološko nasilje je njihova svakodnevnica", kazao je Perello.
Prema Liječnicima svijeta, dvije trećine seksualnih radnica uzdržava obitelj, a 80 posto njih su samohrane majke.
Većina su imigrantkinje iz Kolumbije, Rumunjske ili Maroka, ali ima ih i s Mallorce koje su ranije uglavnom bez ugovora radile kao čistačice, njegovateljice starih osoba ili su čuvale djecu.
Prema podacima sveučilišta na Balearima, siromaštvo na tom otočju se naglo povećalo i broj ljidi koji žive u krajnjem siromaštvu prošle se godine udvostručio na 34.000.

Španjolski otok Mallorca glasio je za 'partijanersku' destinaciju za brojne turiste, no nakon što je pandemija uništila taj sektor brojni su ljudi ostali bez posla, a kako bi prehranile svoje obitelji i izbjegle krajnje siromaštvo neke su žene, ponajviše samohrane majke, rješenje vidjele u seksualnoj djelatnosti.
Zbog pandemije koronavirusa, broj turista na tom španjolskom otoku pao je 2020. gotovo 90 posto i proći će još mjeseci prije nego se stanje na Mallorci i ostalim Balearskim otocima počne vraćati u normalu, piše u ponedjeljak dpa.
Žene koje se za svoju egzistenciju na Mallorci sada bore kao seksualne radnice najčešće su samohrane majke i to rade prvi puta ili se radi o konobaricama i čistačicama koje su izgubile posao.
"Za mnoge od njih je okretanje ili povratak prostituciji jedini način da priskrbe za svoju obitelj", kazali su Inmaculada Mas Nadal i Rafa Campos iz udruge Liječnici svijeta.
Prošle godine je pomoć te udruge primilo 1168 žena koje na Mallorci i ostalim otocima rade kao seksualne radnice. Od navedenog broja, njih 439 je pomoć zatražilo prvi put.
Među njima je i Marokanka Leila, nova u seksualnoj industriji koja je zbog pandemije i zatvaranja zemlje izgubila posao u kuhinji restorana.
Svoj posao, rekla je za novine Ultima Hora, taji od obitelji te dodaje: "Moram slati novac majci i mojoj braći i sestrama. Siromašni smo".
Priznaje da ne zarađuje puno i da danima nije imala klijenta.
Velika ponuda i mala potražnja također je srušila cijenu "kompletne usluge" na svega 15 eura u središtu Palme, nedaleko od najpopularnije i skupe šoping zone Passeig del Born.
Seksualne radnice, kako navodi list, rade po 12 sati dnevo i tjedno zarade tek 100 eura.
Zbog velike konkurencije same ruše cijenu, a mnoge pristaju na seks bez zaštite, upozoravaju Liječnici svijeta.
Klijenti su sada u jačoj poziciji u pregovaranju cijena i usluga i to iskorištavaju, upozorava udruga.
I ne samo to, uvjeti rada su daleko opasniji nego prije, ne samo zbog koronavirusa već i zbog činjenice da svodnici i krijumčari ljudima vrše na žene sve veći pritisak.
Na trgu Sant Antoni žene tvrde da nemaju svodnike, no novinar Tolo Leal Perello tvrdi da ne govore istinu.
"Neke duguju i do 7000 eura trgovcima ljudi koji su ih doveli u Španjolsku i taj dug ih tjera da rade za bilo koju cijenu. Fizičko i psihološko nasilje je njihova svakodnevnica", kazao je Perello.
Prema Liječnicima svijeta, dvije trećine seksualnih radnica uzdržava obitelj, a 80 posto njih su samohrane majke.
Većina su imigrantkinje iz Kolumbije, Rumunjske ili Maroka, ali ima ih i s Mallorce koje su ranije uglavnom bez ugovora radile kao čistačice, njegovateljice starih osoba ili su čuvale djecu.
Prema podacima sveučilišta na Balearima, siromaštvo na tom otočju se naglo povećalo i broj ljidi koji žive u krajnjem siromaštvu prošle se godine udvostručio na 34.000.
