Dok se u Hrvatskoj nakon iznimno hladnoga tjedna liječimo u nizu toplih i sunčanih dana, meteorolozi već najavljuju hladni početak ožujka.

Oni to naravno prognoziraju na temelju čvrstih znanstvenih pokazatelja, baš kao i meteorolozi u Velikoj Britaniji. Tamo se za kraj veljače ili početak ožujka prognozira povratak "Zvijeri s istoka", hladnog udara s temperaturama do -7 Celzijevih stupnjeva.

Britanci se toga posebno boje jer se sličan udar "Zvijeri s istoka" dogodio u veljači 2018. kada je velik dio Britanije bio prekriven snijegom, a šteta za gospodarstvo iznosila je 1,2 milijarde funti (1,344 milijarde eura), piše Daily Mail.

Britanski meteorolozi su i objasnili na temelju čega prognoziraju takvo stanje.

"Vidimo veliko iznenadno stratosfersko zagrijavanje (SSW) koje se događa iznad Sjevernog pola, a to znači da se očekuje kako će se vjetrovi u stratosferi koji okružuju Sjeverni pol obrnuti pa umjesto da idu od zapada prema istoku, ići će obratno. To može dovesti do blokiranja područja visokog tlaka, vjetra i kiše s Atlantika. Zato iznenadna stratosferska zagrijavanja povećavaju mogućnost hladnog vremena‘, rekao je meteorološki prognostičar Aidan McGivern.

Prema Met Officeu, SSW se odnosi na brzo zagrijavanje (do oko 50 Celzija u samo nekoliko dana) između 10 km i 50 km iznad površine zemlje.

‘To je toliko visoko da ni sami ne osjećamo zagrijavanje. Međutim, obično nekoliko tjedana poslije, možemo početi primjećivati ​​posredne učinke na mlaznu struju, što zauzvrat utječe na naše vrijeme.‘, objašnjava McGivern, piše Daily Mail.

Ako se te prognoze obistine, Britanci imaju desetak dana da se pripreme. Građani da se opskrbe svim potrebnim, a nadležne službe da naprave sve što treba da hladnoća i snijeg ne paraliziraju zemlju i ne nanesu veliku materijalnu štetu.

Dok se u Hrvatskoj nakon iznimno hladnoga tjedna liječimo u nizu toplih i sunčanih dana, meteorolozi već najavljuju hladni početak ožujka.

Oni to naravno prognoziraju na temelju čvrstih znanstvenih pokazatelja, baš kao i meteorolozi u Velikoj Britaniji. Tamo se za kraj veljače ili početak ožujka prognozira povratak "Zvijeri s istoka", hladnog udara s temperaturama do -7 Celzijevih stupnjeva.

Britanci se toga posebno boje jer se sličan udar "Zvijeri s istoka" dogodio u veljači 2018. kada je velik dio Britanije bio prekriven snijegom, a šteta za gospodarstvo iznosila je 1,2 milijarde funti (1,344 milijarde eura), piše Daily Mail.

Britanski meteorolozi su i objasnili na temelju čega prognoziraju takvo stanje.

"Vidimo veliko iznenadno stratosfersko zagrijavanje (SSW) koje se događa iznad Sjevernog pola, a to znači da se očekuje kako će se vjetrovi u stratosferi koji okružuju Sjeverni pol obrnuti pa umjesto da idu od zapada prema istoku, ići će obratno. To može dovesti do blokiranja područja visokog tlaka, vjetra i kiše s Atlantika. Zato iznenadna stratosferska zagrijavanja povećavaju mogućnost hladnog vremena‘, rekao je meteorološki prognostičar Aidan McGivern.

Prema Met Officeu, SSW se odnosi na brzo zagrijavanje (do oko 50 Celzija u samo nekoliko dana) između 10 km i 50 km iznad površine zemlje.

‘To je toliko visoko da ni sami ne osjećamo zagrijavanje. Međutim, obično nekoliko tjedana poslije, možemo početi primjećivati ​​posredne učinke na mlaznu struju, što zauzvrat utječe na naše vrijeme.‘, objašnjava McGivern, piše Daily Mail.

Ako se te prognoze obistine, Britanci imaju desetak dana da se pripreme. Građani da se opskrbe svim potrebnim, a nadležne službe da naprave sve što treba da hladnoća i snijeg ne paraliziraju zemlju i ne nanesu veliku materijalnu štetu.
