Slučajevi upale srčanog mišića, miokarditisa, zabilježeni su kod  tinejdžera i mlađih odraslih koji su primili cjepivo protiv covida-19, rekla je savjetodavna skupina američkih Centara za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti (CDC) preporučivši daljnje istraživanje ovog rijetkog stanja.

Savjetodavni odbor za imunizacijske prakse CDC-a u izjavi od 17. svibnja je priopćio da je proučio izvješća da je nekoliko mladih ljudi, uglavnom tinejdžera i mlađih odraslih, većinom muškaraca, razvilo miokarditis - upalu srčanog mišića.

To stanje uglavnom prolazi bez komplikacija i mogu ga uzrokovati razni virusi, rekao je CDC.

Nadzorni sustavi CDC-a nisu pronašli više slučajeva nego što se očekuje u populaciji, ali članovi odbora za cijepljenje smatrali su da bi pružatelji zdravstvenih usluga trebali biti upoznati s izvješćima o "potencijalno štetnom stanju", priopćio je odbor.

Nije rečeno koliko je ljudi razvilo miokarditis i preporučeno je daljnje istraživanje.

Dr. Amesh Adalja, viši znanstvenik Centra Johns Hopkins za zdravstvenu sigurnost, rekao je da je poznato da cjepiva uzrokuju miokarditis te da je važno pratiti to kako bi se utvrdilo je li uzročno povezano s cjepivom. Važno je uzeti u obzir i omjer rizika i koristi, dodao je. "Cjepiva će nedvojbeno biti mnogo korisnija i nadmašiti ovaj vrlo nizak,  ako konačno bude utvrđen, rizik."

CDC je rekao da su se slučajevi najčešće dogodili unutar četiri dana nakon primanja mRNA cjepiva. Nije specificirano o kojem cjepivu se radilo. SAD je dao hitno odobrenje za dva mRNA cjepiva, od Moderne Inc i Pfizera/BioNTecha.

Izraelsko ministarstvo zdravstva u travnju je reklo da proučava mali broj slučajeva upale srčanog mišića kod ljudi koji su primili cjepivo Pfizera, iako još nisu doneseni nikakvi zaključci. Većina slučajeva u Izraelu prijavljena je kod osoba mlađih od 30 godina.

Pfizer je u to vrijeme rekao da nije zapazio višu stopu toga stanja od onoga koje bi bilo normalno u općoj populaciji te da uzročna poveznica s cjepivom nije uspostavljena.

Pfizer i Moderna nisu odmah odgovorili na zahtjeve za komentarom u subotu

CDC je rekao krajem travnja, nakon vijesti o izraelskoj istrazi, da ne vidi vezu između to dvoje.

Ranije ovaj mjesec, američki regulatori proširili su odobrenje cjepiva Pfizera i BioNTecha protiv covida-19 na djecu u dobi od 12 do 15 godina.

Slučajevi upale srčanog mišića, miokarditisa, zabilježeni su kod  tinejdžera i mlađih odraslih koji su primili cjepivo protiv covida-19, rekla je savjetodavna skupina američkih Centara za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti (CDC) preporučivši daljnje istraživanje ovog rijetkog stanja.

Savjetodavni odbor za imunizacijske prakse CDC-a u izjavi od 17. svibnja je priopćio da je proučio izvješća da je nekoliko mladih ljudi, uglavnom tinejdžera i mlađih odraslih, većinom muškaraca, razvilo miokarditis - upalu srčanog mišića.

To stanje uglavnom prolazi bez komplikacija i mogu ga uzrokovati razni virusi, rekao je CDC.

Nadzorni sustavi CDC-a nisu pronašli više slučajeva nego što se očekuje u populaciji, ali članovi odbora za cijepljenje smatrali su da bi pružatelji zdravstvenih usluga trebali biti upoznati s izvješćima o "potencijalno štetnom stanju", priopćio je odbor.

Nije rečeno koliko je ljudi razvilo miokarditis i preporučeno je daljnje istraživanje.

Dr. Amesh Adalja, viši znanstvenik Centra Johns Hopkins za zdravstvenu sigurnost, rekao je da je poznato da cjepiva uzrokuju miokarditis te da je važno pratiti to kako bi se utvrdilo je li uzročno povezano s cjepivom. Važno je uzeti u obzir i omjer rizika i koristi, dodao je. "Cjepiva će nedvojbeno biti mnogo korisnija i nadmašiti ovaj vrlo nizak,  ako konačno bude utvrđen, rizik."

CDC je rekao da su se slučajevi najčešće dogodili unutar četiri dana nakon primanja mRNA cjepiva. Nije specificirano o kojem cjepivu se radilo. SAD je dao hitno odobrenje za dva mRNA cjepiva, od Moderne Inc i Pfizera/BioNTecha.

Izraelsko ministarstvo zdravstva u travnju je reklo da proučava mali broj slučajeva upale srčanog mišića kod ljudi koji su primili cjepivo Pfizera, iako još nisu doneseni nikakvi zaključci. Većina slučajeva u Izraelu prijavljena je kod osoba mlađih od 30 godina.

Pfizer je u to vrijeme rekao da nije zapazio višu stopu toga stanja od onoga koje bi bilo normalno u općoj populaciji te da uzročna poveznica s cjepivom nije uspostavljena.

Pfizer i Moderna nisu odmah odgovorili na zahtjeve za komentarom u subotu

CDC je rekao krajem travnja, nakon vijesti o izraelskoj istrazi, da ne vidi vezu između to dvoje.

Ranije ovaj mjesec, američki regulatori proširili su odobrenje cjepiva Pfizera i BioNTecha protiv covida-19 na djecu u dobi od 12 do 15 godina.

Američki Centar za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti istražuje slučajeve miokarditisa kod mlađih primatelja cjepiva

Slučajevi upale srčanog mišića, miokarditisa, zabilježeni su kod  tinejdžera i mlađih odraslih koji su primili cjepivo protiv covida-19, rekla je savjetodavna skupina američkih Centara za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti (CDC) preporučivši daljnje istraživanje ovog rijetkog stanja.

Savjetodavni odbor za imunizacijske prakse CDC-a u izjavi od 17. svibnja je priopćio da je proučio izvješća da je nekoliko mladih ljudi, uglavnom tinejdžera i mlađih odraslih, većinom muškaraca, razvilo miokarditis - upalu srčanog mišića.

To stanje uglavnom prolazi bez komplikacija i mogu ga uzrokovati razni virusi, rekao je CDC.

Nadzorni sustavi CDC-a nisu pronašli više slučajeva nego što se očekuje u populaciji, ali članovi odbora za cijepljenje smatrali su da bi pružatelji zdravstveni...
