Bivši visoki dužnosnik bosanskih Srba i osuđeni ratni zločinac Momčilo Krajišnik umro je u utorak u bolnici u Banjoj Luci u 75. godini od posljedica zaraze koronavirusom, potvrdili su iz banjolučkog Kliničkog centra.

Krajišnik se tamo liječio od 30. kolovoza kada je primljen zbog upale pluća i od tada je bio na respiratoru.

Krajišnika je Međunarodni kazneni sud za bivšu Jugoslaviju (ICTY) 2009. godine osudio na 20 godina zatvora proglasivši ga odgovornim za ratne zločine u Bosni i Hercegovini. 

Iz zatvora je pušten 2013. nakon odslužene dvije trećine kazne i od tada je živio na Palama no ostao je politički aktivan promovirajući istu politiku zbog koje je i osuđen.

Krajišnik je slovio za najbližeg suradnika ratnog vođe bosanskih Srba Radovana Karadžića. Nakon prvih višestranačkih izbora u BiH 1990. godine izabran je za predsjednika Skupštine tadašnje Socijalističke republike BiH.

Tijekom rata bio je na čelu samoproglašenog parlamenta bosanskih Srba da bi 1996. godine na prvim poratnim izborima bio izabran za člana Predsjedništva BiH i na toj je dužnosti ostao četiri godine.

Po nalogu tužiteljstva Haaškog tribunala 2000. godine uhitili su ga fracuski vojnici iz sastava tadašnjeg SFOR-a.

Bivši visoki dužnosnik bosanskih Srba i osuđeni ratni zločinac Momčilo Krajišnik umro je u utorak u bolnici u Banjoj Luci u 75. godini od posljedica zaraze koronavirusom, potvrdili su iz banjolučkog Kliničkog centra.

Krajišnik se tamo liječio od 30. kolovoza kada je primljen zbog upale pluća i od tada je bio na respiratoru.

Krajišnika je Međunarodni kazneni sud za bivšu Jugoslaviju (ICTY) 2009. godine osudio na 20 godina zatvora proglasivši ga odgovornim za ratne zločine u Bosni i Hercegovini. 

Iz zatvora je pušten 2013. nakon odslužene dvije trećine kazne i od tada je živio na Palama no ostao je politički aktivan promovirajući istu politiku zbog koje je i osuđen.

Krajišnik je slovio za najbližeg suradnika ratnog vođe bosanskih Srba Radovana Karadžića. Nakon prvih višestranačkih izbora u BiH 1990. godine izabran je za predsjednika Skupštine tadašnje Socijalističke republike BiH.

Tijekom rata bio je na čelu samoproglašenog parlamenta bosanskih Srba da bi 1996. godine na prvim poratnim izborima bio izabran za člana Predsjedništva BiH i na toj je dužnosti ostao četiri godine.

Po nalogu tužiteljstva Haaškog tribunala 2000. godine uhitili su ga fracuski vojnici iz sastava tadašnjeg SFOR-a.

Osuđeni ratni zločinac Momčilo Krajišnik preminuo od posljedica zaraze koronavirusom

Bivši visoki dužnosnik bosanskih Srba i osuđeni ratni zločinac Momčilo Krajišnik umro je u utorak u bolnici u Banjoj Luci u 75. godini od posljedica zaraze koronavirusom, potvrdili su iz banjolučkog Kliničkog centra.

Krajišnik se tamo liječio od 30. kolovoza kada je primljen zbog upale pluća i od tada je bio na respiratoru.

Krajišnika je Međunarodni kazneni sud za bivšu Jugoslaviju (ICTY) 2009. godine osudio na 20 godina zatvora proglasivši ga odgovornim za ratne zločine u Bosni i Hercegovini. 

Iz zatvora je pušten 2013. nakon odslužene dvije trećine kazne i od tada je živio na Palama no ostao je politički aktivan promovirajući istu politiku zbog koje je i osuđen.
