Svi su se raspisali o Vučićevoj izjavi da će Srbija preteći Hrvatsku po BDP-u, ali i sam Vučić i oni koji se uzbuđuju oko toga znaju da je riječ o dnevno-političkoj „patki“ jer stvari zapravo stoje ovako:

Nominalni BDP NIJE mjera razvoja neke zemlje jer zavisi o broju stanovnika i razini cijena, naveo je ekonomist Velimir Šonje. 

Kada hrvatski BDP, koji za 2020. iznosi oko 49 milijardi eura, uspoređujemo sa Češkom ili Slovenijom, ne pjenimo se nad podatkom da češki BDP iznosi 215 milijardi eura niti likujemo nad slovenskih 47 milijardi. Češka ima puno više, a Slovenija puno manje stanovnika od Hrvatske. Prema podacima Eurostata, srbijanski nominalni BDP je približno kao slovenski.

Srbija ima oko 3 milijuna stanovnika više od Hrvatske i po tom kriteriju je odavno trebala imati veći BDP od Hrvatske.

Realni BDP po stanovniku (dakle nominalni korigiran za razliku u cijenama – prema paritetu kupovne moći – i za razliku u broju stanovnika) JEST mjera razvoja neke zemlje, a tu stvari stoje ovako:

Hrvatska je na oko 64% prosječne razine razvoja EU.

Češka je na oko 94%.

Slovenija je na oko 90%.

Srbija je na oko 43%.

Dakle, Hrvatska je gotovo 50% razvijenija od Srbije (64/43) ali Slovenija je oko 40% (90/64) razvijenija od Hrvatske.

Ovi odnosi se mogu razmjerno brzo (recimo, unutar 10 godina) mijenjati ako neka zemlja uhvati izvanrednu brzinu rasta (kao što je uspjelo npr. Estoniji). Za sada nema naznaka da bi to moglo uspjeti nekoj od spomenutih zemalja. Odnosi razvijenosti se mijenjaju jako, jako sporo.

Kada bi srbijanski realni BDP po stanovniku 10 godina rastao 2 postotna boda brže od hrvatskog u prosjeku godišnje, što je jako teško, Hrvatska bi i dalje bila oko 23% razvijenija od Srbije. Ako bi se takva razlika u brzini rasta nastavila jako dugo, Srbija bi sustigla Hrvatsku za circa dva desetljeća, tj. oko 2040.

Inače, jako je dobro da se sve zemlje koje su naši važni trgovački partneri što brže razvijaju, jer onda one uvoze više naših proizvoda i usluga, a mi uvozimo više njihovih, pa je život svima bolji, a šansa za sukobe sve manja. Razvojna kompeticija može biti dobar kolektivni motiv te je jako dobro da Srbija jednim okom prati Hrvatsku, a Hrvatska Srbiju, ali pritom treba znati korektno interpretirati podatke.

Ako se vratimo na domaći teren, puno više bi nas trebalo brinuti što do sada nismo napravili brze razvojne iskorake poput nekih članica EU – Estonije ili Poljske.

Na primjer, Estonija je 2011. bila na 71% razine razvoja EU, a prošle godine na 85%. Poljska je skočila sa 66% (dakle, pred deset godina su bili u relativnom položaju kao mi sada) na 76%.

Može se; gospodarska povijesna sudbina ne postoji. Samo treba znati, htjeti i imati malo povijesne sreće. Hrvatska u narednih 10 godina ima izvanrednu razvojnu priliku zbog EU sredstava, uvođenja eura, dolaska nove generacije poduzetnika, uzleta novih industrija, ali i politika bi tu trebala napraviti nešto više od pukog oslanjanja na EU fondove. Politički sektor i slabo organizirane institucije i javne usluge su naša najslabija karika, napisao je Šonje za Ekonomski lab.

Svi su se raspisali o Vučićevoj izjavi da će Srbija preteći Hrvatsku po BDP-u, ali i sam Vučić i oni koji se uzbuđuju oko toga znaju da je riječ o dnevno-političkoj „patki“ jer stvari zapravo stoje ovako:

Nominalni BDP NIJE mjera razvoja neke zemlje jer zavisi o broju stanovnika i razini cijena, naveo je ekonomist Velimir Šonje. 

Kada hrvatski BDP, koji za 2020. iznosi oko 49 milijardi eura, uspoređujemo sa Češkom ili Slovenijom, ne pjenimo se nad podatkom da češki BDP iznosi 215 milijardi eura niti likujemo nad slovenskih 47 milijardi. Češka ima puno više, a Slovenija puno manje stanovnika od Hrvatske. Prema podacima Eurostata, srbijanski nominalni BDP je približno kao slovenski.

Srbija ima oko 3 milijuna stanovnika više od Hrvatske i po tom kriteriju je odavno trebala imati veći BDP od Hrvatske.

Realni BDP po stanovniku (dakle nominalni korigiran za razliku u cijenama – prema paritetu kupovne moći – i za razliku u broju stanovnika) JEST mjera razvoja neke zemlje, a tu stvari stoje ovako:

Hrvatska je na oko 64% prosječne razine razvoja EU.

Češka je na oko 94%.

Slovenija je na oko 90%.

Srbija je na oko 43%.

Dakle, Hrvatska je gotovo 50% razvijenija od Srbije (64/43) ali Slovenija je oko 40% (90/64) razvijenija od Hrvatske.

Ovi odnosi se mogu razmjerno brzo (recimo, unutar 10 godina) mijenjati ako neka zemlja uhvati izvanrednu brzinu rasta (kao što je uspjelo npr. Estoniji). Za sada nema naznaka da bi to moglo uspjeti nekoj od spomenutih zemalja. Odnosi razvijenosti se mijenjaju jako, jako sporo.

Kada bi srbijanski realni BDP po stanovniku 10 godina rastao 2 postotna boda brže od hrvatskog u prosjeku godišnje, što je jako teško, Hrvatska bi i dalje bila oko 23% razvijenija od Srbije. Ako bi se takva razlika u brzini rasta nastavila jako dugo, Srbija bi sustigla Hrvatsku za circa dva desetljeća, tj. oko 2040.

Inače, jako je dobro da se sve zemlje koje su naši važni trgovački partneri što brže razvijaju, jer onda one uvoze više naših proizvoda i usluga, a mi uvozimo više njihovih, pa je život svima bolji, a šansa za sukobe sve manja. Razvojna kompeticija može biti dobar kolektivni motiv te je jako dobro da Srbija jednim okom prati Hrvatsku, a Hrvatska Srbiju, ali pritom treba znati korektno interpretirati podatke.

Ako se vratimo na domaći teren, puno više bi nas trebalo brinuti što do sada nismo napravili brze razvojne iskorake poput nekih članica EU – Estonije ili Poljske.

Na primjer, Estonija je 2011. bila na 71% razine razvoja EU, a prošle godine na 85%. Poljska je skočila sa 66% (dakle, pred deset godina su bili u relativnom položaju kao mi sada) na 76%.

Može se; gospodarska povijesna sudbina ne postoji. Samo treba znati, htjeti i imati malo povijesne sreće. Hrvatska u narednih 10 godina ima izvanrednu razvojnu priliku zbog EU sredstava, uvođenja eura, dolaska nove generacije poduzetnika, uzleta novih industrija, ali i politika bi tu trebala napraviti nešto više od pukog oslanjanja na EU fondove. Politički sektor i slabo organizirane institucije i javne usluge su naša najslabija karika, napisao je Šonje za Ekonomski lab.

Svi su se raspisali o Vučićevoj izjavi da će Srbija preteći Hrvatsku po BDP-u, ali i sam Vučić i oni koji se uzbuđuju oko toga znaju da je riječ o dnevno-političkoj „patki“ jer stvari zapravo stoje ovako:

Nominalni BDP NIJE mjera razvoja neke zemlje jer zavisi o broju stanovnika i razini cijena, naveo je ekonomist Velimir Šonje. 

Kada hrvatski BDP, koji za 2020. iznosi oko 49 milijardi eura, uspoređujemo sa Češkom ili Slovenijom, ne pjenimo se nad podatkom da češki BDP iznosi 215 milijardi eura niti likujemo nad slovenskih 47 milijardi. Češka ima puno više, a Slovenija puno manje stanovnika od Hrvatske. Prema podacima Eurostata, srbijanski nominalni BDP je približno kao slovenski.

Srbija ima oko 3 milijuna stanovnika više od Hrvatske i po tom kriteriju je odavno...
