Kvantni fizičari s Instituta Ruđer Bošković (IRB) dio su međunarodnog tima znanstvenika koji je otkrio i eksperimentalno realizirao kvantnu komunikacijsku mrežu s više korisnika koju nije moguće špijunirati, priopćeno je s Ruđera.

Rezultati toga značajnog znanstvenog otkrića, koje je veliki korak prema potpuno sigurnoj i zaštićenoj mrežnoj komunikaciji, objavljeni su u uglednom znanstvenom časopisu Science Advances.

Uz hrvatske znanstvenike, međunarodni tim istraživača činili su znanstvenici sa Sveučilišta u Bristolu (Velika Britanija) i kolege s Instituta Austrijske akademije znanosti.

"Hrvatski dio tima dao je svoj doprinos istraživanju osmišljavanjem, dizajniranjem i izradom optičkih prijamnika – korisničkog dijela komunikacijske opreme u kvantnoj mreži", objašnjava jedan od autora na radu, znanstveni suradnik na Zavoda za eksperimentalnu fiziku IRB-a Martin Lončarić.

Hrvatski tim znanstvenika čine još voditelj Znanstvenog centra izvrsnosti za napredne materijale i senzore na IRB-u Mario Stipčević, te član Željko Samec Ključne instrumente i uređaje za provedbu eksperimenta izrađeni su radionici Zavoda za fizičku kemiju IRB-a.

Ovaj međunarodni tim znanstvenika je kombinacijom kvantne prepletenosti (spregnutosti) fotona i standardnih telekomunikacijskih tehnika, uspio stvoriti kvantnu mrežu osam korisnika koja se proteže kroz grad Bristol putem svjetlosnih vodiča, jednakih onima koji se koriste i za "običan" Internet.

Klasično zaštićena komunikacija ne omogućuje potpuno sigurno komuniciranje, ali kvantna jamči potpunu i dugoročnu sigurnost razmjene informacija. No, za sada je nevjerojatno komplicirano izgraditi veliku i lako proširivu kvantno zaštićenu komunikacijsku mrežu.

Iako su principi kvantne komunikacije vrlo dobro poznati, problemi vezani za umrežavanje više korisnika te stabilnost veze kroz dulji vremenski period, predmet su brojnih znanstvenih i tehnoloških istraživanja.

Arhitektura koju je osmislio i izgradio međunarodni tim omogućuje pružanje potpune kvantne sigurnosti na način da količina potrebnih resursa raste samo približno proporcionalno broju korisnika. Štoviše, broj predajnika uopće ne raste te je dovoljan samo jedan jedini predajnik za cijelu mrežu, bez obzira je li riječ o osam ili primjerice, stotinu korisnika, kaže se.

"Baš kao što povezivanje velikog broja klasičnih kućnih ili uredskih mreža čini današnji Internet, uskoro možemo očekivati međusobno povezivanje ovakvih kvantnih mreža u jednu veliku svjetsku mrežu", zaključili su znanstvenici.

Kvantni fizičari s Instituta Ruđer Bošković (IRB) dio su međunarodnog tima znanstvenika koji je otkrio i eksperimentalno realizirao kvantnu komunikacijsku mrežu s više korisnika koju nije moguće špijunirati, priopćeno je s Ruđera.

Rezultati toga značajnog znanstvenog otkrića, koje je veliki korak prema potpuno sigurnoj i zaštićenoj mrežnoj komunikaciji, objavljeni su u uglednom znanstvenom časopisu Science Advances.

Uz hrvatske znanstvenike, međunarodni tim istraživača činili su znanstvenici sa Sveučilišta u Bristolu (Velika Britanija) i kolege s Instituta Austrijske akademije znanosti.

"Hrvatski dio tima dao je svoj doprinos istraživanju osmišljavanjem, dizajniranjem i izradom optičkih prijamnika – korisničkog dijela komunikacijske opreme u kvantnoj mreži", objašnjava jedan od autora na radu, znanstveni suradnik na Zavoda za eksperimentalnu fiziku IRB-a Martin Lončarić.

Hrvatski tim znanstvenika čine još voditelj Znanstvenog centra izvrsnosti za napredne materijale i senzore na IRB-u Mario Stipčević, te član Željko Samec Ključne instrumente i uređaje za provedbu eksperimenta izrađeni su radionici Zavoda za fizičku kemiju IRB-a.

Ovaj međunarodni tim znanstvenika je kombinacijom kvantne prepletenosti (spregnutosti) fotona i standardnih telekomunikacijskih tehnika, uspio stvoriti kvantnu mrežu osam korisnika koja se proteže kroz grad Bristol putem svjetlosnih vodiča, jednakih onima koji se koriste i za "običan" Internet.

Klasično zaštićena komunikacija ne omogućuje potpuno sigurno komuniciranje, ali kvantna jamči potpunu i dugoročnu sigurnost razmjene informacija. No, za sada je nevjerojatno komplicirano izgraditi veliku i lako proširivu kvantno zaštićenu komunikacijsku mrežu.

Iako su principi kvantne komunikacije vrlo dobro poznati, problemi vezani za umrežavanje više korisnika te stabilnost veze kroz dulji vremenski period, predmet su brojnih znanstvenih i tehnoloških istraživanja.

Arhitektura koju je osmislio i izgradio međunarodni tim omogućuje pružanje potpune kvantne sigurnosti na način da količina potrebnih resursa raste samo približno proporcionalno broju korisnika. Štoviše, broj predajnika uopće ne raste te je dovoljan samo jedan jedini predajnik za cijelu mrežu, bez obzira je li riječ o osam ili primjerice, stotinu korisnika, kaže se.

"Baš kao što povezivanje velikog broja klasičnih kućnih ili uredskih mreža čini današnji Internet, uskoro možemo očekivati međusobno povezivanje ovakvih kvantnih mreža u jednu veliku svjetsku mrežu", zaključili su znanstvenici.

Kvantni fizičari s Instituta Ruđer Bošković (IRB) dio su međunarodnog tima znanstvenika koji je otkrio i eksperimentalno realizirao kvantnu komunikacijsku mrežu s više korisnika koju nije moguće špijunirati, priopćeno je s Ruđera.

Rezultati toga značajnog znanstvenog otkrića, koje je veliki korak prema potpuno sigurnoj i zaštićenoj mrežnoj komunikaciji, objavljeni su u uglednom znanstvenom časopisu Science Advances.

Uz hrvatske znanstvenike, međunarodni tim istraživača činili su znanstvenici sa Sveučilišta u Bristolu (Velika Britanija) i kolege s Instituta Austrijske akademije znanosti.
