U Velikoj Britaniji od koronavirusa bi moglo umrijeti i do 66.000 ljudi, što je oko trećina svih smrti koje je za Europu prognoziralo američko Sveučilište Washington, prenosi Guardian.

Institut za metriku i procjene u zdravstvu (IHME) pri Sveučilištu Washington, procjenjuje da će diljem europskog kontinenta umrijeti 151.680 ljudi, dok za Sjedinjene američke države kaže da će umrlih biti 81.766.

'Očekujemo teške tjedne u mnogim dijelovima Europe. Procjene o broju smrti u Europi nadmašuju broj umrlih u SAD-u', kazao je doktor Christopher Murray iz Instituta.

Koristeći lokalne i međunarodne baze podataka i broj zabilježenih slučajeva, kao i smrtnost s obzirom na dob u Italiji, Kini i SAD-u, tim IHME-a izradio je model očekivanih smrti u svakoj pojedinoj državi, prenosi Jutarnji list.

Ključni podatak bio je broj kreveta na odjelima intenzivnog liječenja.

'Broj smrtnih slučajeva u mnogim će zemljama ovisiti o potražnji za bolničkim kapacitetima koja u znatnoj mjeri nadmašuje dostupne kapacitete. Na primjer, u Velikoj Britaniji će u vrhu potražnje biti potrebno 102.794 bolničkih kreveta, a dostupno je svega 17.765, vrh potražnje kreveta na odjelima intenzivne njege biti 24.544, a dostupno ih je tek 744, a respiratora će trebati 20.862 s tim da trenutno nema podataka o tome koliko je respiratora dostupno.

U Velikoj Britaniji je do danas zbog koronavirusa umrlo 5.000 ljudi, što je manje nego u Španjolskoj i Italiji. No krivulja epidemije zaostaje za ostatkom Europe nekoliko dana, a putanja broja umrlih već je sada strmija nego u drugim zemljama.

Institut je objavio i kratki video u kojem doktor Murrey objašnjava ključne točke studije.

Institut je objavio i projekciju za Hrvatsku.

Navodi se kako je vlada ovale mjeru društvenog distanciranja, zatvorila obrazovne ustanove 16. ožujka, dan kasnije je uvedena mjera ostanka kod kuće, 19. ožujka su zatvorene sve trgovine osim one s hranom i apoteke, a 21. ožujka je jako ograničeno putovanje.

Nadalje, Institut procjenjuje da će epidemija u Hrvatskoj doseći svoj vrhunac tek 20. travnja kad će biti potrebno 255 od ukupno 6.477 dostupnih bolničkih kreveta te da će biti potreban 61 krevet na intenzivnoj njezi od ukupno 216 dostupnih.

Također se navodi da će Hrvatskoj na vrhuncu epidemije trebati 52 respiratora.

Podaci Instituta pokazuju da Hrvatska ima daleko više bolničkih kapaciteta – i kad su u pitanju obični, ali i kreveti na intenzivnoj njezi – nego što će biti potrebno na vrhuncu epidemije.

No, Institut ipak procjenjuje da će u Hrvatskoj na vrhuncu epidemije između 18. i 25. travnja, umirati po sedam ljudi dnevno, a pad dnevnog broja umrlih trebao bi se, prema njihovoj procjeni, početi smanjivati tek iza 25. travnja. Ukupno će u Hrvatskoj, prema procjeni ovog Instituta, biti 166 smrtnih slučajeva, a posljednji bi se trebao dogoditi sredinom svibnja.

U Velikoj Britaniji od koronavirusa bi moglo umrijeti i do 66.000 ljudi, što je oko trećina svih smrti koje je za Europu prognoziralo američko Sveučilište Washington, prenosi Guardian.

Institut za metriku i procjene u zdravstvu (IHME) pri Sveučilištu Washington, procjenjuje da će diljem europskog kontinenta umrijeti 151.680 ljudi, dok za Sjedinjene američke države kaže da će umrlih biti 81.766.

'Očekujemo teške tjedne u mnogim dijelovima Europe. Procjene o broju smrti u Europi nadmašuju broj umrlih u SAD-u', kazao je doktor Christopher Murray iz Instituta.

Koristeći lokalne i međunarodne baze podataka i broj zabilježenih slučajeva, kao i smrtnost s obzirom na dob u Italiji, Kini i SAD-u, tim IHME-a izradio je model očekivanih smrti u svakoj pojedinoj državi, prenosi Jutarnji list.

Ključni podatak bio je broj kreveta na odjelima intenzivnog liječenja.

'Broj smrtnih slučajeva u mnogim će zemljama ovisiti o potražnji za bolničkim kapacitetima koja u znatnoj mjeri nadmašuje dostupne kapacitete. Na primjer, u Velikoj Britaniji će u vrhu potražnje biti potrebno 102.794 bolničkih kreveta, a dostupno je svega 17.765, vrh potražnje kreveta na odjelima intenzivne njege biti 24.544, a dostupno ih je tek 744, a respiratora će trebati 20.862 s tim da trenutno nema podataka o tome koliko je respiratora dostupno.

U Velikoj Britaniji je do danas zbog koronavirusa umrlo 5.000 ljudi, što je manje nego u Španjolskoj i Italiji. No krivulja epidemije zaostaje za ostatkom Europe nekoliko dana, a putanja broja umrlih već je sada strmija nego u drugim zemljama.

Institut je objavio i projekciju za Hrvatsku.

Navodi se kako je vlada ovale mjeru društvenog distanciranja, zatvorila obrazovne ustanove 16. ožujka, dan kasnije je uvedena mjera ostanka kod kuće, 19. ožujka su zatvorene sve trgovine osim one s hranom i apoteke, a 21. ožujka je jako ograničeno putovanje.

Nadalje, Institut procjenjuje da će epidemija u Hrvatskoj doseći svoj vrhunac tek 20. travnja kad će biti potrebno 255 od ukupno 6.477 dostupnih bolničkih kreveta te da će biti potreban 61 krevet na intenzivnoj njezi od ukupno 216 dostupnih.

Također se navodi da će Hrvatskoj na vrhuncu epidemije trebati 52 respiratora.

Podaci Instituta pokazuju da Hrvatska ima daleko više bolničkih kapaciteta – i kad su u pitanju obični, ali i kreveti na intenzivnoj njezi – nego što će biti potrebno na vrhuncu epidemije.

No, Institut ipak procjenjuje da će u Hrvatskoj na vrhuncu epidemije između 18. i 25. travnja, umirati po sedam ljudi dnevno, a pad dnevnog broja umrlih trebao bi se, prema njihovoj procjeni, početi smanjivati tek iza 25. travnja. Ukupno će u Hrvatskoj, prema procjeni ovog Instituta, biti 166 smrtnih slučajeva, a posljednji bi se trebao dogoditi sredinom svibnja.

U Velikoj Britaniji od koronavirusa bi moglo umrijeti i do 66.000 ljudi, što je oko trećina svih smrti koje je za Europu prognoziralo američko Sveučilište Washington, prenosi Guardian.

Institut za metriku i procjene u zdravstvu (IHME) pri Sveučilištu Washington, procjenjuje da će diljem europskog kontinenta umrijeti 151.680 ljudi, dok za Sjedinjene američke države kaže da će umrlih biti 81.766.

'Očekujemo teške tjedne u mnogim dijelovima Europe. Procjene o broju smrti u Europi nadmašuju broj umrlih u SAD-u', kazao je doktor Christopher Murray iz Instituta.

Koristeći lokalne i međunarodne baze podataka i broj zabilježenih slučajeva, kao i smrtnost s obzirom na dob u Italiji, Kini i SAD-u, tim IHME-a izradio je model očekivanih smrti u svakoj pojedinoj državi,...
