Kod slovenskog liječnika koji je zaposlen u Kliničkom centru u Mariboru, a koji se vratio iz Afrike, PCR test nanovo je pronašao koronavirus pa se pretpostavlja da se možda inficirao zaraznijim južnoafričkim sojem. Liječnik je prethodno bio cijepljen s dvije doze cjepiva, a još se čeka sekvenciranje genoma virusa kako bi se utvrdilo koji je soj u pitanju.

Ovdje se radi o tzv. funkcionalnom imunitetu kad je imunološki sustav pripremljen prepoznati virus i boriti se protiv njega, a simptomi nove zaraze su blagi. Slučajevi ponovne zaraze koronavirusom dokumentirani su, ali ih je iznimno malo.

Prof. dr. Branko Kolarić, epidemiolog i član Vladinog Znanstvenog savjeta za borbu protiv koronavirusa objašnjava nam kako stopostotne zaštite od infekcije i nakon primljenog cjepiva nema, iako su neka cjepiva vrlo blizu tog cilja.

„Sva ova cjepiva protiv COVID-a koja se koriste u Hrvatskoj štite od teške bolesti COVID-19, smrti i potrebe za respiratorom, ali ne sprječavaju uvijek infekciju. Ljudi se mogu nanovo inficirati, a pritom biti bez bilo kakvih simptoma. Upravo zbog toga preporučujemo nošenje maske i nakon što se primi cjepivo. To je pogotovo važno u ovim uvjetima kad imamo još veliki broj zaraženih – napominje prof. Kolarić.

Tumači kako se ogromna većina nakon primanja cjepiva neće nanovo zaraziti, pa se cjepivom smanjuje i prijenos virusa u populaciji. „A oni cijepljeni, koji se ipak zaraze, ili neće imati nikakvih simptoma ili će oni biti vrlo blagi. Prema dosadašnjim saznanjima je jasno da onom tko je dva puta cijepljen, cjepivom tvrtki BioNTech/Pfizer i Moderne, pružaju zaštitu od infekcije oko 95 posto, a u slučaju AstraZenece preko 60 posto - no sva tri cjepiva će spriječiti teži oblik bolesti, potrebu za bolničkim liječenjem i smrtne ishode - tumači epidemiolog.

Što se tiče procijepljenosti nacije od koronavirusa, Kolarić napominje kako sve ovisi o tome kojim će tempom stizati pošiljke cjepiva.

„Ako budu količine manje od predviđenih sigurno da nećemo uspjeti za turističku sezonu dovoljno procijepiti ljudi, no, ako nam u svibnju stigne velika tranša cjepiva, onda ćemo stići. Mislim da je važno da do ljeta budu cijepljeni ugostiteljski i turistički djelatnici, to je najbolji poziv za siguran odmor u Hrvatskoj – smatra naš sugovornik.

Protiv boginja zaštita do 99 posto, a za gripu puno manja

Cjepiva za sve zarazne bolesti ne štite isto, primjerice cjepiva protiv malih boginja, zaušnjaka i rubeole imaju učinkovitost od 93 do 99 posto, dok su cjepiva protiv sezonske gripe daleko manje učinkovita.

Prema podacima instituta Robert Koch učinkovitost cjepiva protiv gripe u sezoni 2019/2020 je bila između 31 i 73 posto, ovisno od toga o kojem soju gripe se radilo. Mnogo lošije su vrijednosti iz sezone 2017/2018. Tada je učinkovitost cjepiva protiv gripe bila oko 15 posto.

Kod slovenskog liječnika koji je zaposlen u Kliničkom centru u Mariboru, a koji se vratio iz Afrike, PCR test nanovo je pronašao koronavirus pa se pretpostavlja da se možda inficirao zaraznijim južnoafričkim sojem. Liječnik je prethodno bio cijepljen s dvije doze cjepiva, a još se čeka sekvenciranje genoma virusa kako bi se utvrdilo koji je soj u pitanju.

Ovdje se radi o tzv. funkcionalnom imunitetu kad je imunološki sustav pripremljen prepoznati virus i boriti se protiv njega, a simptomi nove zaraze su blagi. Slučajevi ponovne zaraze koronavirusom dokumentirani su, ali ih je iznimno malo.

Prof. dr. Branko Kolarić, epidemiolog i član Vladinog Znanstvenog savjeta za borbu protiv koronavirusa objašnjava nam kako stopostotne zaštite od infekcije i nakon primljenog cjepiva nema, iako su neka cjepiva vrlo blizu tog cilja.

„Sva ova cjepiva protiv COVID-a koja se koriste u Hrvatskoj štite od teške bolesti COVID-19, smrti i potrebe za respiratorom, ali ne sprječavaju uvijek infekciju. Ljudi se mogu nanovo inficirati, a pritom biti bez bilo kakvih simptoma. Upravo zbog toga preporučujemo nošenje maske i nakon što se primi cjepivo. To je pogotovo važno u ovim uvjetima kad imamo još veliki broj zaraženih – napominje prof. Kolarić.

Tumači kako se ogromna većina nakon primanja cjepiva neće nanovo zaraziti, pa se cjepivom smanjuje i prijenos virusa u populaciji. „A oni cijepljeni, koji se ipak zaraze, ili neće imati nikakvih simptoma ili će oni biti vrlo blagi. Prema dosadašnjim saznanjima je jasno da onom tko je dva puta cijepljen, cjepivom tvrtki BioNTech/Pfizer i Moderne, pružaju zaštitu od infekcije oko 95 posto, a u slučaju AstraZenece preko 60 posto - no sva tri cjepiva će spriječiti teži oblik bolesti, potrebu za bolničkim liječenjem i smrtne ishode - tumači epidemiolog.

Što se tiče procijepljenosti nacije od koronavirusa, Kolarić napominje kako sve ovisi o tome kojim će tempom stizati pošiljke cjepiva.

„Ako budu količine manje od predviđenih sigurno da nećemo uspjeti za turističku sezonu dovoljno procijepiti ljudi, no, ako nam u svibnju stigne velika tranša cjepiva, onda ćemo stići. Mislim da je važno da do ljeta budu cijepljeni ugostiteljski i turistički djelatnici, to je najbolji poziv za siguran odmor u Hrvatskoj – smatra naš sugovornik.

Protiv boginja zaštita do 99 posto, a za gripu puno manja

Cjepiva za sve zarazne bolesti ne štite isto, primjerice cjepiva protiv malih boginja, zaušnjaka i rubeole imaju učinkovitost od 93 do 99 posto, dok su cjepiva protiv sezonske gripe daleko manje učinkovita.

Prema podacima instituta Robert Koch učinkovitost cjepiva protiv gripe u sezoni 2019/2020 je bila između 31 i 73 posto, ovisno od toga o kojem soju gripe se radilo. Mnogo lošije su vrijednosti iz sezone 2017/2018. Tada je učinkovitost cjepiva protiv gripe bila oko 15 posto.

Kod slovenskog liječnika koji je zaposlen u Kliničkom centru u Mariboru, a koji se vratio iz Afrike, PCR test nanovo je pronašao koronavirus pa se pretpostavlja da se možda inficirao zaraznijim južnoafričkim sojem. Liječnik je prethodno bio cijepljen s dvije doze cjepiva, a još se čeka sekvenciranje genoma virusa kako bi se utvrdilo koji je soj u pitanju.

Ovdje se radi o tzv. funkcionalnom imunitetu kad je imunološki sustav pripremljen prepoznati virus i boriti se protiv njega, a simptomi nove zaraze su blagi. Slučajevi ponovne zaraze koronavirusom dokumentirani su, ali ih je iznimno malo.
