I dok se tlo na sjevernom i središnjem dijelu Hrvatske smiruje, sve je aktivnije na jugu. Cijelo jutro se jače trese Jadran. Od 5 ujutro nekoliko novih jačih potresa magnitude od 3,1 do 3,5 i posljednji oko 9:30 čak 4,2 po Richteru.
Epicentri su bili 50-ak kilometara južno-jugoistočno od Visa. Spomenimo i da je sinoć na Jadranu pa do Vrlike na kopnu zatreslo nekoliko potresa od oko 3 stupnja prema Richteru.
Što se to događa pod jadranskom pločom pojasnio je za RTL seizmolog Krešimir Kuk.

Od jutros tri jača potresa, u subotu je bio najjači od 5,5 - jesu li povezani?
"Jesu, radi se o pojačanoj seizmičkoj aktivnosti trenutno na području južne Hrvatske. Ona je nešto jača na ovom dijelu srednjeg Jadrana u blizini Palagruškog arihipelaga i do sada smo tamo zabilježili već desetak potresa. Ovo drugo područje koje se aktiviralo jučer - jučer i danas smo imali šest do sedam potresa magnitude uglavnom oko 3 prema Richteru."
Već neko vrijeme trese Jadran, no iako su magnitude i više od 5, nema većih oštećenja, kako to?
"Potresi koji se dogode ispod površine mora, daleko od naseljenih mjesta se slabije manifestiraju na kopnu i naravno što je veća udaljenost i dubina njihovog nastanka, to su njihovi učinci manji."
Kolike su procjene - što kaže povijest, a što procjene? Koliki su najjači potresi koji bi mogli udariti priobalno područje?
"Povijesni dokazi potvrđuju najbolje teorijske tvrdnje odnosno računice magnituda potresa koj bi se mogli događati na nekim područjima. Za naš jug Hrvatske su moguće magnitude potresa od preko 7 po Richteru."

Tako govorite i za dubrovačko trusno područje?
"Što južnije, to je ta magnituda veća."
Koliko građevine na tom području mogu izdržati?
"To je teško pitanje na koje ne znam odgovoriti. Kao i na većem dijelu naše zemlje, građevine su različitih tipova tako da je sve što je novije građeno trebalo izdržati."
A stare kamene kuće od metar blokova kamena?
"Kamene kuće su karakteristične. Mi smo istraživali određene zgrade, škole po Splitsko-dalmatinskoj županiji, neke javne zgrade po Dubrovačkoj županiji te zajedno s kolegama s Građevinskog fakulteta radili neke studije i procjene seizmičke ugroženosti tih zgrada tako da je situacija zapravo složena. Ima jedna velika mješavina svih vrsta i različtih karakteristika zgrada i tako bi se one vjerojatno i ponašale."
Ako slučajno dođe do nekih rascjepa, vidimo trese se Jadran, spominjali ste 7 stupnjeva prema Richteru, jesu li moguće kakve opasnposti za stanovnike otoka i obala? Neki tsunami, plimni val?
"Tsunamiji na području Jadrana su malih amplituda, dakle modeli koji su rađeni, a imamo i povijesne zapise da su se one nekoliko puta događale, oni nisu jači, nisu toliko veliki, ne predstavljaju kao takvi ugrozu za stanovništvo."

Netom prije početka emisije zatreslo je područje u Austriji oko Beča 4,9. Što se događa na Banovini, mogu li tamo mještani odahnuti?
"4,7 je magnituda zadnja prema Austrijskoj seizmološkoj službi. Područje Banovine se seizmički smiruje. Tijek seizmičnosti je prema očekivanom modelu slabi. Što vrijeme više protječe, potresi će još biti i slabiji i rjeđi, ali oni, dakako, nisu pravilno raspoređeni niti u vremenu niti po jačini tako da imamo s vremena na vrijeme neke periode kada je mirnije i onda opet neka jača seizmička aktivnosti, ali u svakom slučaju smiruje se stanje."
Ova situacija u Austriji nas ne treba brinuti?
"To s nama nema nikakve veze", zaključio je Kuk na kraju gostovanja.

Epicentri su bili 50-ak kilometara južno-jugoistočno od Visa. Spomenimo i da je sinoć na Jadranu pa do Vrlike na kopnu zatreslo nekoliko potresa od oko 3 stupnja prema Richteru.
Što se to događa pod jadranskom pločom pojasnio je za RTL seizmolog Krešimir Kuk.

Od jutros tri jača potresa, u subotu je bio najjači od 5,5 - jesu li povezani?
"Jesu, radi se o pojačanoj seizmičkoj aktivnosti trenutno na području južne Hrvatske. Ona je nešto jača na ovom dijelu srednjeg Jadrana u blizini Palagruškog arihipelaga i do sada smo tamo zabilježili već desetak potresa. Ovo drugo područje koje se aktiviralo jučer - jučer i danas smo imali šest do sedam potresa magnitude uglavnom oko 3 prema Richteru."
Već neko vrijeme trese Jadran, no iako su magnitude i više od 5, nema većih oštećenja, kako to?
"Potresi koji se dogode ispod površine mora, daleko od naseljenih mjesta se slabije manifestiraju na kopnu i naravno što je veća udaljenost i dubina njihovog nastanka, to su njihovi učinci manji."
Kolike su procjene - što kaže povijest, a što procjene? Koliki su najjači potresi koji bi mogli udariti priobalno područje?
"Povijesni dokazi potvrđuju najbolje teorijske tvrdnje odnosno računice magnituda potresa koj bi se mogli događati na nekim područjima. Za naš jug Hrvatske su moguće magnitude potresa od preko 7 po Richteru."

Tako govorite i za dubrovačko trusno područje?
"Što južnije, to je ta magnituda veća."
Koliko građevine na tom području mogu izdržati?
"To je teško pitanje na koje ne znam odgovoriti. Kao i na većem dijelu naše zemlje, građevine su različitih tipova tako da je sve što je novije građeno trebalo izdržati."
A stare kamene kuće od metar blokova kamena?
"Kamene kuće su karakteristične. Mi smo istraživali određene zgrade, škole po Splitsko-dalmatinskoj županiji, neke javne zgrade po Dubrovačkoj županiji te zajedno s kolegama s Građevinskog fakulteta radili neke studije i procjene seizmičke ugroženosti tih zgrada tako da je situacija zapravo složena. Ima jedna velika mješavina svih vrsta i različtih karakteristika zgrada i tako bi se one vjerojatno i ponašale."
Ako slučajno dođe do nekih rascjepa, vidimo trese se Jadran, spominjali ste 7 stupnjeva prema Richteru, jesu li moguće kakve opasnposti za stanovnike otoka i obala? Neki tsunami, plimni val?
"Tsunamiji na području Jadrana su malih amplituda, dakle modeli koji su rađeni, a imamo i povijesne zapise da su se one nekoliko puta događale, oni nisu jači, nisu toliko veliki, ne predstavljaju kao takvi ugrozu za stanovništvo."

Netom prije početka emisije zatreslo je područje u Austriji oko Beča 4,9. Što se događa na Banovini, mogu li tamo mještani odahnuti?
"4,7 je magnituda zadnja prema Austrijskoj seizmološkoj službi. Područje Banovine se seizmički smiruje. Tijek seizmičnosti je prema očekivanom modelu slabi. Što vrijeme više protječe, potresi će još biti i slabiji i rjeđi, ali oni, dakako, nisu pravilno raspoređeni niti u vremenu niti po jačini tako da imamo s vremena na vrijeme neke periode kada je mirnije i onda opet neka jača seizmička aktivnosti, ali u svakom slučaju smiruje se stanje."
Ova situacija u Austriji nas ne treba brinuti?
"To s nama nema nikakve veze", zaključio je Kuk na kraju gostovanja.
