Seizmolog Krešimir Kuk gostovao je u Novom danu N1 televizije i komentirao seriju slabijih potresa koji se događaju na banijskom području.

“Imamo već duže vrijeme učestalu seizmičku aktivnost, koja je zadnjih mjesec-dva malo pojačana. To nisu jači potresi, mi ih ni ne očekujemo, jer je to nastavak serije koja traje duže vrijeme, ali ih možda ima više magnitude 2 ili 3, koji se više osjete”, rekao je Kuk.

“Već duže vrijeme imamo migraciju epicentara prema sjeverozapadu, puno potresa se u posljednjih pola godine događa prema ovom dijelu, potresi se kreću prema sjeverozapadu i malo sjeverno prema Velikoj Gorici. Bilo je potresa koji su se malo jače osjetili na tom području, a to je tijek seizmičkih aktivnosti nakon onoga što se dogodilo krajem prošle godine”, rekao je Kuk, izvještava N1.

Istaknuo je da su medvedničko, odnosno područje Zagreba i područje Banije odvojeni.

“Ono što se sada događa u neku ruku je posljedica jačih potresa. Seizmička aktivnost traje duže vrijeme. Bit će za koji dan objavljena slika epicentara potresa u ovoj godini koji su nastupili nakon onoga glavnoga prošlogodišnjeg, i vidjet će se da se većina epicentara nalazi uz rasjed onog glavnog potresa koji je bio prošle godine”, rekao je seizmolog.

Potresi se ne mogu prognozirati

Upitan koliko će dugo trajati seizmička aktivnost i postoji li vremenski rok u kojemu se mogu očekivati naknadna podrhtavanja, Kuk je rekao da se radilo o jakim pa i razornim potresima i da je normalno da će seizmička aktivnost duže trajati.

“Mi smo na samom početku serije najavili da će ta aktivnost trajati neko vrijeme, duže od godine na području Petrinje sigurno, a koliko će točno trajati, to nikad nitko ne može reći, sigurno još neko vrijeme. Primjećuje se da su potresi po jačini slabiji, što je teorijski očekivano i prati normalan slijed događanja. Nemoguće je točno precizirati kada će serija završiti, s obzirom na sadašnju aktivnost, ona je još učestala, radi se o procesu uspostave novog ravnotežnog stanja i to naprosto traje”, rekao je Kuk.

Na pitanje je li to što se događa manje potresa zapravo dobro i znak da ne može doći do još jačeg i razornijeg potresa, seizmolog je rekao da se to ne može reći.

“Nikad se ne može s potpunom sigurnošću odbaciti mogućnost jakog potresa na području koje može generirati potrese. Ono što mi očekujemo, s obzirom na tijek odvijanja seizmičnosti i na činjenicu koliko je to područje seizmogeno, koliko se često događaju jaki potresi, mi ne očekujemo da bi bio neki jaki potres, ali je moguć još neki potres koji će u ovoj seriji uslijediti, jer to se ne prognozira i ne može se utvrditi s velikom točnošću”, rekao je Kuk, izvještava N1.

Seizmolog Krešimir Kuk gostovao je u Novom danu N1 televizije i komentirao seriju slabijih potresa koji se događaju na banijskom području.

“Imamo već duže vrijeme učestalu seizmičku aktivnost, koja je zadnjih mjesec-dva malo pojačana. To nisu jači potresi, mi ih ni ne očekujemo, jer je to nastavak serije koja traje duže vrijeme, ali ih možda ima više magnitude 2 ili 3, koji se više osjete”, rekao je Kuk.

“Već duže vrijeme imamo migraciju epicentara prema sjeverozapadu, puno potresa se u posljednjih pola godine događa prema ovom dijelu, potresi se kreću prema sjeverozapadu i malo sjeverno prema Velikoj Gorici. Bilo je potresa koji su se malo jače osjetili na tom području, a to je tijek seizmičkih aktivnosti nakon onoga što se dogodilo krajem prošle godine”, rekao je Kuk, izvještava N1.

Istaknuo je da su medvedničko, odnosno područje Zagreba i područje Banije odvojeni.

“Ono što se sada događa u neku ruku je posljedica jačih potresa. Seizmička aktivnost traje duže vrijeme. Bit će za koji dan objavljena slika epicentara potresa u ovoj godini koji su nastupili nakon onoga glavnoga prošlogodišnjeg, i vidjet će se da se većina epicentara nalazi uz rasjed onog glavnog potresa koji je bio prošle godine”, rekao je seizmolog.

Potresi se ne mogu prognozirati

Upitan koliko će dugo trajati seizmička aktivnost i postoji li vremenski rok u kojemu se mogu očekivati naknadna podrhtavanja, Kuk je rekao da se radilo o jakim pa i razornim potresima i da je normalno da će seizmička aktivnost duže trajati.

“Mi smo na samom početku serije najavili da će ta aktivnost trajati neko vrijeme, duže od godine na području Petrinje sigurno, a koliko će točno trajati, to nikad nitko ne može reći, sigurno još neko vrijeme. Primjećuje se da su potresi po jačini slabiji, što je teorijski očekivano i prati normalan slijed događanja. Nemoguće je točno precizirati kada će serija završiti, s obzirom na sadašnju aktivnost, ona je još učestala, radi se o procesu uspostave novog ravnotežnog stanja i to naprosto traje”, rekao je Kuk.

Na pitanje je li to što se događa manje potresa zapravo dobro i znak da ne može doći do još jačeg i razornijeg potresa, seizmolog je rekao da se to ne može reći.

“Nikad se ne može s potpunom sigurnošću odbaciti mogućnost jakog potresa na području koje može generirati potrese. Ono što mi očekujemo, s obzirom na tijek odvijanja seizmičnosti i na činjenicu koliko je to područje seizmogeno, koliko se često događaju jaki potresi, mi ne očekujemo da bi bio neki jaki potres, ali je moguć još neki potres koji će u ovoj seriji uslijediti, jer to se ne prognozira i ne može se utvrditi s velikom točnošću”, rekao je Kuk, izvještava N1.
