Predrag Fred Matić, zastupnik u Europskom parlamentu i biši ministar branitelja, dao je intervju za Novosti.

Kakvi su vaši dojmovi s potresom pogođene Banije?

- Kao eurozastupnici imamo pravo na određena sredstva za poklone za djecu. Dio sam htio osobno odnijeti djeci na Baniji i ondje me zatekao potres. Moram reći da je u takvim situacijama političarima nezgodno: ako se pojaviš, onda ti kažu da se naslikavaš, a ako se ne pojaviš, kažu da izbjegavaš narod.

Ima dosta prigovora na sporost državnih institucija?

- Treba biti objektivan – država je spor mehanizam i jedino vojska, policija i vatrogasci mogu djelovati brzo. Pojedinačna pomoć ide puno brže – mi smo odlučili, donijeli pomoć, ostavili je i otišli, dok je u državi puno birokracije i zato su tako spori. Nesnalaženja ima jer su to institucije za koje se nadamo da nikad neće imati posla; mi ih plaćamo, ali tražimo da u slučaju potrebe budu što brže i učinkovitije.

Ipak, situacija se stabilizira. Plašim se što slijedi kad krene obnova i prođe empatija za stradanja ljudi na ovom području. Tada nastupaju lešinari koji vide priliku za brzu zaradu, u vezi čega imamo iskustva iz poplava i potresa u Zagrebu.

Morat ću pitati Ivu Josipovića, autora Zakona o ratnom profiterstvu, da li bi se taj zakon mogao primijeniti u slučaju obnove kuća na Baniji nakon Oluje. U kućama nema armature, pa su posljedice potresa nekoliko puta veće zbog nemara i želje za brzom zaradom. Nosivi zidovi su se mrvili kao da su od pijeska, a osim za materijalnu štetu, netko mora odgovarati za ljudske živote koji su zbog takvog nemara izgubljeni. DORH bi se trebao pozabaviti takvima koji su na tuđoj nesreći zaradili velik novac.

Kako komentirate veliku pomoć iz drugih država, pogotovo iz Srbije?

- Zahvalan sam za brzo pruženu i obećanu pomoć iz članica EU-a i drugih zemalja, uključujući Srbiju. Mislim da je ovo prilika i da se predsjednik Aleksandar Vučić iskupi jer znamo za njegov "legendarni" govor iz Gline 1995. Zbunjujuće je da su ljudi vrlo složni kad se desi nesreća, a pitanje je zašto nismo složni kad su vremena malo bolja. Predložio bih i da predsjednik Zoran Milanović čitav radni dan provede na Baniji, da mu se prezentiraju rezultati, da vidi što se radi i planira, da se opet ne desi kao s ranijom obnovom kuća, rekao je Matić za Novosti.

Predrag Fred Matić, zastupnik u Europskom parlamentu i biši ministar branitelja, dao je intervju za Novosti.

Kakvi su vaši dojmovi s potresom pogođene Banije?

- Kao eurozastupnici imamo pravo na određena sredstva za poklone za djecu. Dio sam htio osobno odnijeti djeci na Baniji i ondje me zatekao potres. Moram reći da je u takvim situacijama političarima nezgodno: ako se pojaviš, onda ti kažu da se naslikavaš, a ako se ne pojaviš, kažu da izbjegavaš narod.

Ima dosta prigovora na sporost državnih institucija?

- Treba biti objektivan – država je spor mehanizam i jedino vojska, policija i vatrogasci mogu djelovati brzo. Pojedinačna pomoć ide puno brže – mi smo odlučili, donijeli pomoć, ostavili je i otišli, dok je u državi puno birokracije i zato su tako spori. Nesnalaženja ima jer su to institucije za koje se nadamo da nikad neće imati posla; mi ih plaćamo, ali tražimo da u slučaju potrebe budu što brže i učinkovitije.

Ipak, situacija se stabilizira. Plašim se što slijedi kad krene obnova i prođe empatija za stradanja ljudi na ovom području. Tada nastupaju lešinari koji vide priliku za brzu zaradu, u vezi čega imamo iskustva iz poplava i potresa u Zagrebu.

Morat ću pitati Ivu Josipovića, autora Zakona o ratnom profiterstvu, da li bi se taj zakon mogao primijeniti u slučaju obnove kuća na Baniji nakon Oluje. U kućama nema armature, pa su posljedice potresa nekoliko puta veće zbog nemara i želje za brzom zaradom. Nosivi zidovi su se mrvili kao da su od pijeska, a osim za materijalnu štetu, netko mora odgovarati za ljudske živote koji su zbog takvog nemara izgubljeni. DORH bi se trebao pozabaviti takvima koji su na tuđoj nesreći zaradili velik novac.

Kako komentirate veliku pomoć iz drugih država, pogotovo iz Srbije?

- Zahvalan sam za brzo pruženu i obećanu pomoć iz članica EU-a i drugih zemalja, uključujući Srbiju. Mislim da je ovo prilika i da se predsjednik Aleksandar Vučić iskupi jer znamo za njegov "legendarni" govor iz Gline 1995. Zbunjujuće je da su ljudi vrlo složni kad se desi nesreća, a pitanje je zašto nismo složni kad su vremena malo bolja. Predložio bih i da predsjednik Zoran Milanović čitav radni dan provede na Baniji, da mu se prezentiraju rezultati, da vidi što se radi i planira, da se opet ne desi kao s ranijom obnovom kuća, rekao je Matić za Novosti.

Predrag Fred Matić, zastupnik u Europskom parlamentu i biši ministar branitelja, dao je intervju za Novosti.

Kakvi su vaši dojmovi s potresom pogođene Banije?

- Kao eurozastupnici imamo pravo na određena sredstva za poklone za djecu. Dio sam htio osobno odnijeti djeci na Baniji i ondje me zatekao potres. Moram reći da je u takvim situacijama političarima nezgodno: ako se pojaviš, onda ti kažu da se naslikavaš, a ako se ne pojaviš, kažu da izbjegavaš narod.

Ima dosta prigovora na sporost državnih institucija?

- Treba biti objektivan – država je spor mehanizam i jedino vojska, policija i vatrogasci mogu djelovati brzo. Pojedinačna pomoć ide puno brže – mi smo odlučili, donijeli pomoć, ostavili je i otišli, dok je u državi puno birokracije i zato su tako spori....
