Kao i svake godine tijekom zimskih mjeseci među populacijom su zabilježene povećane infekcije virusima i bakterijama. Posljednjih tjedana roditelje i liječnike posebno brine streptokok koji se ubrzano širi među djecom, a zabilježeno je i par težih slučajeva, piše N1.
Pojedini vrtići primaju zahtjeve roditelja da se zbog pojave streptokoka testiraju sva djeca, no epidemiolog upozorava kako za takvim nečime nema potrebe.
“Nema nekog smisla pokušati testiranjem vidjeti tko je nositelj streptokoka pa samo njima dati antibiotike, a drugima koji su negativni ne zbog toga što nakon nekog vremena će se opet djeca moći zaraziti”, ističe epidemiolog Bernard Kaić.
Ambulante se sve više pune. Dnevno se pregleda stotinjak djece, a neku moraju primiti i na bolničke odjele. Simtpomi se najčešće javljaju kod male djece koja idu u jaslice i vrtiće. Posebno se brzo širi u zatvorenom prostoru i lako se prenosi.
“Brojke su u porastu. Međutim, još uvijek držimo situaciju pod kontrolom, uspijemo zbrinuti sve male pacijente. Međutim, mislim da još uvijek zdravstvena služba i bolnički sustav uspjeva držati stvari pod kontrolom”, navodi Goran Roić, iz Klinike za dječje bolesti u Klaićevoj ulici u Zagrebu.
“U svakom vrtiću svakodnevno ima streptokoka, a to ne treba podizati zabrinutost na neku višu razinu s obzirom na to da, ponavljam, do ovoga trenutka ne raspolažemo s informacijama da je itko obolio od posebno teškog oblika bolesti”, dodaje Goran Tešović, specijalist infektologije i pedijatrijske infektologije.
Većina slučajeva streptokoka je blaga. No u Velikoj Britaniji od zaraze je umrlo devetero djece, dok su u Hrvatskoj u posljednjih tri tjedna zabilježena tri smrtna slučaja. Ipak, riječ je o odraslim osobama.
“Ja ne mogu reći niti da razloga za posebnu zabrinutost ima, ali isto tako ne mogu reći da se ne može dogooditi da neki teški invazivni oblik bolesti se ne dogodi i kod nekog našeg djeteta”, kazao je Tešović za N1.
Epideimolog Kaić zato upozorava na lošu praksu oko zaraze u pojedinim ambulantama.
“Svakoga s temperaturom i grloboljom prvo pošalju na covid test pa ako je negativan tek onda može doći, time se gubi vrijeme za brzo dijagnosticiranje streptokokne upala grla jer se ona stvarno može lago dijagnosticirati pa se kasnije kreće s terapijom.”

Kao i svake godine tijekom zimskih mjeseci među populacijom su zabilježene povećane infekcije virusima i bakterijama. Posljednjih tjedana roditelje i liječnike posebno brine streptokok koji se ubrzano širi među djecom, a zabilježeno je i par težih slučajeva, piše N1.
Pojedini vrtići primaju zahtjeve roditelja da se zbog pojave streptokoka testiraju sva djeca, no epidemiolog upozorava kako za takvim nečime nema potrebe.
“Nema nekog smisla pokušati testiranjem vidjeti tko je nositelj streptokoka pa samo njima dati antibiotike, a drugima koji su negativni ne zbog toga što nakon nekog vremena će se opet djeca moći zaraziti”, ističe epidemiolog Bernard Kaić.
Ambulante se sve više pune. Dnevno se pregleda stotinjak djece, a neku moraju primiti i na bolničke odjele. Simtpomi se najčešće javljaju kod male djece koja idu u jaslice i vrtiće. Posebno se brzo širi u zatvorenom prostoru i lako se prenosi.
“Brojke su u porastu. Međutim, još uvijek držimo situaciju pod kontrolom, uspijemo zbrinuti sve male pacijente. Međutim, mislim da još uvijek zdravstvena služba i bolnički sustav uspjeva držati stvari pod kontrolom”, navodi Goran Roić, iz Klinike za dječje bolesti u Klaićevoj ulici u Zagrebu.
“U svakom vrtiću svakodnevno ima streptokoka, a to ne treba podizati zabrinutost na neku višu razinu s obzirom na to da, ponavljam, do ovoga trenutka ne raspolažemo s informacijama da je itko obolio od posebno teškog oblika bolesti”, dodaje Goran Tešović, specijalist infektologije i pedijatrijske infektologije.
Većina slučajeva streptokoka je blaga. No u Velikoj Britaniji od zaraze je umrlo devetero djece, dok su u Hrvatskoj u posljednjih tri tjedna zabilježena tri smrtna slučaja. Ipak, riječ je o odraslim osobama.
“Ja ne mogu reći niti da razloga za posebnu zabrinutost ima, ali isto tako ne mogu reći da se ne može dogooditi da neki teški invazivni oblik bolesti se ne dogodi i kod nekog našeg djeteta”, kazao je Tešović za N1.
Epideimolog Kaić zato upozorava na lošu praksu oko zaraze u pojedinim ambulantama.
“Svakoga s temperaturom i grloboljom prvo pošalju na covid test pa ako je negativan tek onda može doći, time se gubi vrijeme za brzo dijagnosticiranje streptokokne upala grla jer se ona stvarno može lago dijagnosticirati pa se kasnije kreće s terapijom.”
