Na Wall Streetu su u srijedu Dow Jones i S&P 500 indeks pali jer su zbog problema Credit Suissea ponovno prevladala strahovanja od bankarske krize, dok su novi podaci o kretanjima u američkom gospodarstvu podržali tržište.

Dow Jones oslabio je 0,87 posto, na 31.874 boda, a S&P 500 0,70 posto, na 3.891 bod. Nasdaq indeks ojačao je, pak, 0,05 posto, na 11.434 boda.

S&P 500 indeks bankarskog sektora potonuo je 3,6 posto jer su zbog financijskih problema Credit Suissea, druge po veličini švicarske banke, ponovno izbila strahovanja od bankarske krize.

Početkom tjedna tržište je bilo pod pritiskom zbog propasti dvije američke banke - Silicon Valley (SVB) i Signature – da bi u utorak strahovanja od širenja krize u bankarskom sustavu ponešto popustila nakon što su vlasti SAD-a i niza drugih zemalja poručile da nema razloga za zabrinutost u vezi drugih banaka.

No, financijski problemi Credit Suissea ponovno su naveli ulagače na prodaju dionica banaka.

Cijena dionice Credit Suissea potonula je jučer oko 14 posto, na rekordno niske razine, nakon što je banka izvijestila da postoje slabosti u njezinim financijskim izvješćima za protekle godine, a najveći investitor u banci Saudi National Bank objavio da ne može pružiti nikakvu daljnju financijsku pomoć švicarskoj banci.

To je, zajedno s kolapsom SVB-a krajem prošloga tjedna, izazvalo špekulacije o tome koje bi još europske i američke banke mogle biti u problemima, pa se bankarski sektor ponovno našao pod pritiskom.

No, problemi banaka podržavaju špekulacije da bi središnje banke, u prvom redu američki Fed, mogle usporiti tempo povećanja kamata dok se situacija ne smiri.

Neki analitičari smatraju da je agresivno povećanje kamata Feda prošle godine moglo izazvati pukotine u financijskom sustavu.

„Fed je lani proveo najagresivnije zaoštravanje monetarne politike još od 1980.-ih godina i mislim da mu sadašnja zbivanja na tržištu otvaraju mogućnost za stanku”, kaže Jack Ablin, direktor u tvrtki Cresset Capital.

Još prošloga tjedna očekivalo se da će Fed na sjednici u ožujku povećati kamate za agresivnih 0,50 postotnih bodova, no sada mnogi smatraju da će kamate biti povećane za 0,25 postotnih bodova, a neki da Fed uopće neće podići kamate ovoga mjeseca.

Tomu u prilog idu i izvješća o popuštanju inflacijskih pritisaka u SAD-u.

Nakon što je u utorak objavljeno da su potrošačke cijene u veljači porasle u skladu s očekivanjima, jučer je objavljeno da su proizvođačke cijene u istom mjesecu neočekivano pale.

To, kao i podatak da je promet u trgovini na malo u veljači pao za 0,4 posto, nakon rasta od 3,2 posto mjesec dana prije, učvrstilo je teze da Fed na predstojećoj sjednici možda uopće neće podići kamatne stope.

I na europskim su burzama cijene dionica jučer pale. Londonski FTSE indeks skliznuo je 3,83 posto, na 7.344 boda, dok je frankfurtski DAX potonuo 3,27 posto, na 14.735 bodova, a pariški CAC 3,58 posto, na 6.885 bodova.

Na Wall Streetu su u srijedu Dow Jones i S&P 500 indeks pali jer su zbog problema Credit Suissea ponovno prevladala strahovanja od bankarske krize, dok su novi podaci o kretanjima u američkom gospodarstvu podržali tržište.

Dow Jones oslabio je 0,87 posto, na 31.874 boda, a S&P 500 0,70 posto, na 3.891 bod. Nasdaq indeks ojačao je, pak, 0,05 posto, na 11.434 boda.

S&P 500 indeks bankarskog sektora potonuo je 3,6 posto jer su zbog financijskih problema Credit Suissea, druge po veličini švicarske banke, ponovno izbila strahovanja od bankarske krize.

Početkom tjedna tržište je bilo pod pritiskom zbog propasti dvije američke banke - Silicon Valley (SVB) i Signature – da bi u utorak strahovanja od širenja krize u bankarskom sustavu ponešto popustila nakon što su vlasti SAD-a i niza drugih zemalja poručile da nema razloga za zabrinutost u vezi drugih banaka.

No, financijski problemi Credit Suissea ponovno su naveli ulagače na prodaju dionica banaka.

Cijena dionice Credit Suissea potonula je jučer oko 14 posto, na rekordno niske razine, nakon što je banka izvijestila da postoje slabosti u njezinim financijskim izvješćima za protekle godine, a najveći investitor u banci Saudi National Bank objavio da ne može pružiti nikakvu daljnju financijsku pomoć švicarskoj banci.

To je, zajedno s kolapsom SVB-a krajem prošloga tjedna, izazvalo špekulacije o tome koje bi još europske i američke banke mogle biti u problemima, pa se bankarski sektor ponovno našao pod pritiskom.

No, problemi banaka podržavaju špekulacije da bi središnje banke, u prvom redu američki Fed, mogle usporiti tempo povećanja kamata dok se situacija ne smiri.

Neki analitičari smatraju da je agresivno povećanje kamata Feda prošle godine moglo izazvati pukotine u financijskom sustavu.

„Fed je lani proveo najagresivnije zaoštravanje monetarne politike još od 1980.-ih godina i mislim da mu sadašnja zbivanja na tržištu otvaraju mogućnost za stanku”, kaže Jack Ablin, direktor u tvrtki Cresset Capital.

Još prošloga tjedna očekivalo se da će Fed na sjednici u ožujku povećati kamate za agresivnih 0,50 postotnih bodova, no sada mnogi smatraju da će kamate biti povećane za 0,25 postotnih bodova, a neki da Fed uopće neće podići kamate ovoga mjeseca.

Tomu u prilog idu i izvješća o popuštanju inflacijskih pritisaka u SAD-u.

Nakon što je u utorak objavljeno da su potrošačke cijene u veljači porasle u skladu s očekivanjima, jučer je objavljeno da su proizvođačke cijene u istom mjesecu neočekivano pale.

To, kao i podatak da je promet u trgovini na malo u veljači pao za 0,4 posto, nakon rasta od 3,2 posto mjesec dana prije, učvrstilo je teze da Fed na predstojećoj sjednici možda uopće neće podići kamatne stope.

Wall Street pod pritiskom nakon propasti dvije američke banke i problema u Švicarskoj: Tko je sljedeći?

Na Wall Streetu su u srijedu Dow Jones i S&P 500 indeks pali jer su zbog problema Credit Suissea ponovno prevladala strahovanja od bankarske krize, dok su novi podaci o kretanjima u američkom gospodarstvu podržali tržište.

Dow Jones oslabio je 0,87 posto, na 31.874 boda, a S&P 500 0,70 posto, na 3.891 bod. Nasdaq indeks ojačao je, pak, 0,05 posto, na 11.434 boda.

S&P 500 indeks bankarskog sektora potonuo je 3,6 posto jer su zbog financijskih problema Credit Suissea, druge po veličini švicarske banke, ponovno izbila strahovanja od bankarske krize.

Početkom tjedna tržište je bilo pod pritiskom zbog propasti dvije američke banke - Silicon Valley (SVB) i Signature – da bi u utorak strahovanja od širenja krize u bankarskom sustavu ponešto popustila nakon što su vlasti SAD-a i niza drugih...
