Čelnik Međunarodne udruge za zračni prijevoz IATA Willie Walsh smatra da će zrakoplovna industrija nakon koronakrize biti manja i opreznija te ne očekuje širenje zrakoplovnih kompanija akvizicijama.
Zrakoplovna industrija teško je pogođena pandemijom zbog koje su i dalje mnogi zrakoplovi diljem svijeta prizemljeni ili lete gotovo prazni, dok se potražnja polako oporavlja.
"Bit će to manja industrija. Nećemo se oporaviti do punog kapaciteta", rekao je Walsh spominjući velik broj zrakoplova trajno izvan upotrebe i zaposlenike koji su otpušteni ili na odsustvu.
"Bit će to opreznija industrija. Ne očekujem aktivnosti spajanja i preuzimanja, uglavnom zato što će ljudi čuvati gotovinu", također je rekao.
Bivši izvršni direktor matične kompanije British Airwaysa IAG-a rekao je da bi trošenje "vrijednih novčanih sredstava" bilo "previše rizično", no vjeruje da će doći do konsolidacije i smanjenja broja zrakoplovnih kompanija.
"Zrakoplovnim kompanijama trebat će vremena da poprave svoje bilance", rekao je.
IATA je prognozirala da će se globalna potražnja za putovanjima do 2024. vratiti na predpandemijsku razinu iz 2019. godine.
Iako bi uspješno oporavljene zrakoplovne tvrtke popunjavale praznine onih koje ne uspiju, morale bi biti oprezne koliko brzo se obnavljaju, rekao je Walsh pozivajući na oprez.
"Zrakoplovne tvrtke neće moći kratkoročno riskirati upravljanje neisplativim linijama", kazao je.
Ipak, Walsh ne vjeruje da je kriza potkopala poslovne modele poput onih za regionalne ili niskobudžetne prijevoznike.
"Ništa nije promijenilo konkurentsku prirodu ove industrije," rekao je.

Čelnik Međunarodne udruge za zračni prijevoz IATA Willie Walsh smatra da će zrakoplovna industrija nakon koronakrize biti manja i opreznija te ne očekuje širenje zrakoplovnih kompanija akvizicijama.
Zrakoplovna industrija teško je pogođena pandemijom zbog koje su i dalje mnogi zrakoplovi diljem svijeta prizemljeni ili lete gotovo prazni, dok se potražnja polako oporavlja.
"Bit će to manja industrija. Nećemo se oporaviti do punog kapaciteta", rekao je Walsh spominjući velik broj zrakoplova trajno izvan upotrebe i zaposlenike koji su otpušteni ili na odsustvu.
"Bit će to opreznija industrija. Ne očekujem aktivnosti spajanja i preuzimanja, uglavnom zato što će ljudi čuvati gotovinu", također je rekao.
Bivši izvršni direktor matične kompanije British Airwaysa IAG-a rekao je da bi trošenje "vrijednih novčanih sredstava" bilo "previše rizično", no vjeruje da će doći do konsolidacije i smanjenja broja zrakoplovnih kompanija.
"Zrakoplovnim kompanijama trebat će vremena da poprave svoje bilance", rekao je.
IATA je prognozirala da će se globalna potražnja za putovanjima do 2024. vratiti na predpandemijsku razinu iz 2019. godine.
Iako bi uspješno oporavljene zrakoplovne tvrtke popunjavale praznine onih koje ne uspiju, morale bi biti oprezne koliko brzo se obnavljaju, rekao je Walsh pozivajući na oprez.
"Zrakoplovne tvrtke neće moći kratkoročno riskirati upravljanje neisplativim linijama", kazao je.
Ipak, Walsh ne vjeruje da je kriza potkopala poslovne modele poput onih za regionalne ili niskobudžetne prijevoznike.
"Ništa nije promijenilo konkurentsku prirodu ove industrije," rekao je.
