Europska komisija u srijedu je objavila dugo očekivani nacrt predložene revizije zakona koji reguliraju farmaceutsku industriju bloka čime će vjerojatno izazvati sukob s proizvođačima lijekova koji upozoravaju da će ulagati izvan Europske unije.

Cilj najveće revizije postojećih medicinskih zakona u posljednja dva desetljeća jest osigurati svim Europljanima pristup inovativnim novim tretmanima i generičkim lijekovima te prekinuti velike razlike u pristupu i cijenama među zemljama EU-a, rekla je povjerenica Europske komisije za zdravstvo Stella Kyriakides novinarima nakon objave nacrta zakona.

Nekoliko je većih promjena u odnosu na nacrt koji je Reuters vidio ovoga mjeseca.

Komisija predlaže smanjenje ekskluzivnog prava na proizvodnju lijekova na osam s postojećih 10 godina.

Kyriakides kaže da će novi sustav poticaja "omogućiti pristup novim lijekovima za oko 70 milijuna građana više u odnosu na današnju situaciju".

Udruženja pacijenata i potrošača većinom su pozdravila prijedloge.

Europski savez za javno zdravstvo (EPHA) poručio je da je riječ o "velikoj pobjedi za ljude širom EU-a".

Europski parlament, Komisija i države članice sada će razraditi posljednje detalje zakona, što bi moglo potrajati godinama.

Komisija se nada da će reforme stvoriti "jedinstveno europsko tržište za lijekove", dok će istovremeno očuvati privlačnost Europe za farmaceutska ulaganja, dodala je Kyriakides.

No farmaceutska industrija, od velikih tvrtki uključujući Bayer do biotehnoloških tvrtki, kaže da će reforme imati suprotan učinak te da će Europa ostati bez najnovijih tretmana.

Čelnik Novo Nordiska Lars Fruergaard Jørgensen priopćio je u srijedu da su "prijedlozi otrov za inovacije i konkurentnost u Europi".

GSK je poručio da EU mora "regulirati rast i konkurentnost" jer tvrtke "mogu birati gdje će naš kapital i resursi biti usmjereni".

Reformama se također nastoji spriječiti nestašica lijekova, poput nestašice antibiotika ove zime, tako što će kompanije morati obavijestiti ranije EU o mogućim problemima s opskrbom.

Europska komisija u srijedu je objavila dugo očekivani nacrt predložene revizije zakona koji reguliraju farmaceutsku industriju bloka čime će vjerojatno izazvati sukob s proizvođačima lijekova koji upozoravaju da će ulagati izvan Europske unije.

Cilj najveće revizije postojećih medicinskih zakona u posljednja dva desetljeća jest osigurati svim Europljanima pristup inovativnim novim tretmanima i generičkim lijekovima te prekinuti velike razlike u pristupu i cijenama među zemljama EU-a, rekla je povjerenica Europske komisije za zdravstvo Stella Kyriakides novinarima nakon objave nacrta zakona.

Nekoliko je većih promjena u odnosu na nacrt koji je Reuters vidio ovoga mjeseca.

Komisija predlaže smanjenje ekskluzivnog prava na proizvodnju lijekova na osam s postojećih 10 godina.

Kyriakides kaže da će novi sustav poticaja "omogućiti pristup novim lijekovima za oko 70 milijuna građana više u odnosu na današnju situaciju".

Udruženja pacijenata i potrošača većinom su pozdravila prijedloge.

Europski savez za javno zdravstvo (EPHA) poručio je da je riječ o "velikoj pobjedi za ljude širom EU-a".

Europski parlament, Komisija i države članice sada će razraditi posljednje detalje zakona, što bi moglo potrajati godinama.

Komisija se nada da će reforme stvoriti "jedinstveno europsko tržište za lijekove", dok će istovremeno očuvati privlačnost Europe za farmaceutska ulaganja, dodala je Kyriakides.

No farmaceutska industrija, od velikih tvrtki uključujući Bayer do biotehnoloških tvrtki, kaže da će reforme imati suprotan učinak te da će Europa ostati bez najnovijih tretmana.

Čelnik Novo Nordiska Lars Fruergaard Jørgensen priopćio je u srijedu da su "prijedlozi otrov za inovacije i konkurentnost u Europi".

GSK je poručio da EU mora "regulirati rast i konkurentnost" jer tvrtke "mogu birati gdje će naš kapital i resursi biti usmjereni".

Reformama se također nastoji spriječiti nestašica lijekova, poput nestašice antibiotika ove zime, tako što će kompanije morati obavijestiti ranije EU o mogućim problemima s opskrbom.
