Čovjek je napravio čudo. U manje od dvije godine od prvog udarca reketom do organizacije Prvenstva Hrvatske za tenisače u kolicima. 

Sven Maretić je osvojio srebrnu medalju na natjecanju u Splitu, na terenima SC Firule u predivnom ambijentu s pregršt zaintrigiranih ljubitelja ovog sporta koji nisu do sada imali prilike gledati tenisače u kolicima na ovoj razini.

- Vaš fotoreporter Dugandžić je bio tu tri sata, rekao je da je ovo spremno za još veću razinu – prvo nam je ispalio Maretić.

Puno noviteta

Potom je u dahu nastavio:

- Kad me pitaš kako je bilo, prvo sam se naježio, jel mi viruješ. Bio je ovo prvi put u povijesti Hrvatske da je bilo tko iz Hrvatskog paraolimpijskog odbora došao na državno prvenstvo tenisača. Prvi put su tu bili i sakupljači loptica. Prvi put suci na svim mečevima. Prvi put vrhovni sudac i prvi put stream finalnog dana parova i pojedinačnih mečeva – zadovoljno je nabrojao sve novitade koje je uveo na ovom natjecanju Sven.

A kao “generalna proba” bilo mi je revijalno natjecanje prije ATP Challengera u Splitu na proljeće.

- Ne da smo ovo odradili na vrhunskom nivou, nego bi se i ljudi iz organizacije Challengera ponosili nama.

Koji ste to vi koji stojite iza organizacije Prvenstva Hrvatske?

- Mijo Bakić, Hrvoje Kujundžić i ja. Odrađeno je sve na top nivou, igrači smještaj, održavanje... Ovo mi je prvo ovakvo iskustvo i sretan sam i ponosan do neba. Da mi je na početku turnira netko ovo ponudio, da će sve tako dobro proći, a ja biti drugi, odma bi s dvi ruke to zagrlija. Mislim da je letvica organizacije sada podignuta jako visoko.

Ti nisi dugo u ovom sportu?

- Počeo sam početkom 2020. Osnovao klub, Tenis klub Split 1950 je dao ruke, JUŠO, svi su bili pri ruci... Želim privući mlade igrače kojima sam spreman prenijeti svoje znanje, da raširimo bazu mladih igrača koji će krenuti za nama.

Igraš i izvan granica Lijepe naše?

- Počeo sam sudjelovati na međunarodnom ITF Wheelchair ciklusu, trenutno sam 218. na svijetu. U srijedu Anto Joskić i ja idemo na turnir u Civitavecchiju kraj Rima, za dva tjedna Pariz, u 12. mjesecu sam u Pragu. Ušao sam u program kao reprezentativac, radim na tom renkingu. Do sad nemam negativan skor...

Najbolje tek dolazi

Da se vratimo Prvenstvu Hrvatske u Splitu, ti si bio drugi, Anto Joskić prvi.

- Bile su pune tribine, atmosfera “bolesna”, vikanje, uzdasi...  Split je specifična sredina, sport je svima u krvi. Ovdje i na franje moraš biti prvi. Velika hvala Marinu Maljkoviću koji je komentirao finale, Ivica Bilić koji je radio stream, sve su to ljudi koji su uskočili. Mate Omazić je bio izaslanik Grada Splita, Ratko Kovačić kao predsjednik Hrvatskog paraolimpijskog odbora...

Doista je to bio lijepi i uzbudljivi vikend na Firulama. Poznavajući Svena Maretića, vjerujemo kako je ovo tek jedna od stepenica prema još većih događajima, a i njegova osobna prema još boljim rezultatima.

Čovjek je napravio čudo. U manje od dvije godine od prvog udarca reketom do organizacije Prvenstva Hrvatske za tenisače u kolicima. 

Sven Maretić je osvojio srebrnu medalju na natjecanju u Splitu, na terenima SC Firule u predivnom ambijentu s pregršt zaintrigiranih ljubitelja ovog sporta koji nisu do sada imali prilike gledati tenisače u kolicima na ovoj razini.

- Vaš fotoreporter Dugandžić je bio tu tri sata, rekao je da je ovo spremno za još veću razinu – prvo nam je ispalio Maretić.

Puno noviteta

Potom je u dahu nastavio:

- Kad me pitaš kako je bilo, prvo sam se naježio, jel mi viruješ. Bio je ovo prvi put u povijesti Hrvatske da je bilo tko iz Hrvatskog paraolimpijskog odbora došao na državno prvenstvo tenisača. Prvi put su tu bili i sakupljači loptica. Prvi put suci na svim mečevima. Prvi put vrhovni sudac i prvi put stream finalnog dana parova i pojedinačnih mečeva – zadovoljno je nabrojao sve novitade koje je uveo na ovom natjecanju Sven.

A kao “generalna proba” bilo mi je revijalno natjecanje prije ATP Challengera u Splitu na proljeće.

- Ne da smo ovo odradili na vrhunskom nivou, nego bi se i ljudi iz organizacije Challengera ponosili nama.

Koji ste to vi koji stojite iza organizacije Prvenstva Hrvatske?

- Mijo Bakić, Hrvoje Kujundžić i ja. Odrađeno je sve na top nivou, igrači smještaj, održavanje... Ovo mi je prvo ovakvo iskustvo i sretan sam i ponosan do neba. Da mi je na početku turnira netko ovo ponudio, da će sve tako dobro proći, a ja biti drugi, odma bi s dvi ruke to zagrlija. Mislim da je letvica organizacije sada podignuta jako visoko.

Ti nisi dugo u ovom sportu?

- Počeo sam početkom 2020. Osnovao klub, Tenis klub Split 1950 je dao ruke, JUŠO, svi su bili pri ruci... Želim privući mlade igrače kojima sam spreman prenijeti svoje znanje, da raširimo bazu mladih igrača koji će krenuti za nama.

Igraš i izvan granica Lijepe naše?

- Počeo sam sudjelovati na međunarodnom ITF Wheelchair ciklusu, trenutno sam 218. na svijetu. U srijedu Anto Joskić i ja idemo na turnir u Civitavecchiju kraj Rima, za dva tjedna Pariz, u 12. mjesecu sam u Pragu. Ušao sam u program kao reprezentativac, radim na tom renkingu. Do sad nemam negativan skor...

Najbolje tek dolazi

Da se vratimo Prvenstvu Hrvatske u Splitu, ti si bio drugi, Anto Joskić prvi.

- Bile su pune tribine, atmosfera “bolesna”, vikanje, uzdasi...  Split je specifična sredina, sport je svima u krvi. Ovdje i na franje moraš biti prvi. Velika hvala Marinu Maljkoviću koji je komentirao finale, Ivica Bilić koji je radio stream, sve su to ljudi koji su uskočili. Mate Omazić je bio izaslanik Grada Splita, Ratko Kovačić kao predsjednik Hrvatskog paraolimpijskog odbora...

Doista je to bio lijepi i uzbudljivi vikend na Firulama. Poznavajući Svena Maretića, vjerujemo kako je ovo tek jedna od stepenica prema još većih događajima, a i njegova osobna prema još boljim rezultatima.
