Hrvatska reprezentacija nastavlja s pripremama za predstojeće susrete Davis Cupa u Bologni, a osim petorice nominiranih igrača (to su Borna Ćorić, Borna Gojo, Nino Serdarušić kao zamjena za Marina Čilića, Mate Pavić i Nikola Mektić) na pripremama je i Mili Poljičak za kojega je čast biti dio tima i trenirati s vrhunskim tenisačima.

Ovogodišnji osvajač juniorskog Wimbledona u pojedinačnoj i French Opena u konkurenciji parova, koji je nedavno napunio 18 godina, dobio je priliku da osjeti atmosferu u reprezentaciji, ali i da bude aktivan sudionik.

- Dojmovi su fantastični. Čast mi je prvi put biti dio tima. Dobro se treniralo, Nino i ja smo dobro odradili, prije toga Borna Ćorić i Nino, pa Mate Pavić i Nikola Mektić… Mislim da se dobro pripremaju i da će biti spremni - rekao je Mili nakon treninga prvog dana.

Uvođenje mladog tenisača u momčad, makar kao partnera na treningu, nije novost u Davis Cup reprezentaciji. Mili je time prezadovoljan:

- Mora se od nekuda krenuti. Svakako je čast biti uopće dio tima i trenirati s momcima koji su vrhunski igrači. Ćorić je bio blizu ulasku među deset najboljih na svijetu, Mektić i Pavić su bili najbolji par svijeta prošle godine, Borna Gojo je prošle godine sve iznenadio u Davis Cupu, a nadam se da će i ove, te Nino Serdarušić, koji je spreman ako bude trebalo uskočiti. Odlično je. Puno više pažnje daje se Davis Cupu nego juniorima, ovdje je ekipa profesionalaca zadužena za sve nas koji obavljaju vrhunski posao. Mislim da je to normalno i tako treba i biti na ovoj razini - dodao je Poljičak.

On je kao junior već bio član nacionalnih sastava, a sada mu još ostaje da do toga dođe i u Davis Cupu.

- Nadam se da će tako biti, da ću u skorije vrijeme biti u timu kao nominirani igrač i dati svoj doprinos i reprezentaciji i hrvatskoj državi. Tako gledam na to i nadam se da će tako i biti - kaže Poljičak, koji je u jednom trenutku bio drugi junior svijeta.

Među profesionalcima, pak, ove godine ima plasman u pojedinačni finale ATP Challengera u Zagrebu, a među igračima parova je već blizu ulasku među 300 najboljih na svijetu.

Prvi susret na turniru Hrvatska ima u srijedu 14. rujna s početkom u 16 sati protiv domaćina Italije. Dan potom slijedi okršaj sa Švedskom, a treći susret na rasporedu je u subotu protiv Argentine. Plasman u samu završnicu, koja će se održati u studenom u Malagi u Španjolskoj, izborit će dvije najbolje reprezentacije. Televizijski prijenos imat će Sport klub.

Hrvatska reprezentacija nastavlja s pripremama za predstojeće susrete Davis Cupa u Bologni, a osim petorice nominiranih igrača (to su Borna Ćorić, Borna Gojo, Nino Serdarušić kao zamjena za Marina Čilića, Mate Pavić i Nikola Mektić) na pripremama je i Mili Poljičak za kojega je čast biti dio tima i trenirati s vrhunskim tenisačima.

Ovogodišnji osvajač juniorskog Wimbledona u pojedinačnoj i French Opena u konkurenciji parova, koji je nedavno napunio 18 godina, dobio je priliku da osjeti atmosferu u reprezentaciji, ali i da bude aktivan sudionik.

- Dojmovi su fantastični. Čast mi je prvi put biti dio tima. Dobro se treniralo, Nino i ja smo dobro odradili, prije toga Borna Ćorić i Nino, pa Mate Pavić i Nikola Mektić… Mislim da se dobro pripremaju i da će biti spremni - rekao je Mili nakon treninga prvog dana.

Uvođenje mladog tenisača u momčad, makar kao partnera na treningu, nije novost u Davis Cup reprezentaciji. Mili je time prezadovoljan:

- Mora se od nekuda krenuti. Svakako je čast biti uopće dio tima i trenirati s momcima koji su vrhunski igrači. Ćorić je bio blizu ulasku među deset najboljih na svijetu, Mektić i Pavić su bili najbolji par svijeta prošle godine, Borna Gojo je prošle godine sve iznenadio u Davis Cupu, a nadam se da će i ove, te Nino Serdarušić, koji je spreman ako bude trebalo uskočiti. Odlično je. Puno više pažnje daje se Davis Cupu nego juniorima, ovdje je ekipa profesionalaca zadužena za sve nas koji obavljaju vrhunski posao. Mislim da je to normalno i tako treba i biti na ovoj razini - dodao je Poljičak.

On je kao junior već bio član nacionalnih sastava, a sada mu još ostaje da do toga dođe i u Davis Cupu.

- Nadam se da će tako biti, da ću u skorije vrijeme biti u timu kao nominirani igrač i dati svoj doprinos i reprezentaciji i hrvatskoj državi. Tako gledam na to i nadam se da će tako i biti - kaže Poljičak, koji je u jednom trenutku bio drugi junior svijeta.

Među profesionalcima, pak, ove godine ima plasman u pojedinačni finale ATP Challengera u Zagrebu, a među igračima parova je već blizu ulasku među 300 najboljih na svijetu.

Prvi susret na turniru Hrvatska ima u srijedu 14. rujna s početkom u 16 sati protiv domaćina Italije. Dan potom slijedi okršaj sa Švedskom, a treći susret na rasporedu je u subotu protiv Argentine. Plasman u samu završnicu, koja će se održati u studenom u Malagi u Španjolskoj, izborit će dvije najbolje reprezentacije. Televizijski prijenos imat će Sport klub.

Hrvatska reprezentacija nastavlja s pripremama za predstojeće susrete Davis Cupa u Bologni, a osim petorice nominiranih igrača (to su Borna Ćorić, Borna Gojo, Nino Serdarušić kao zamjena za Marina Čilića, Mate Pavić i Nikola Mektić) na pripremama je i Mili Poljičak za kojega je čast biti dio tima i trenirati s vrhunskim tenisačima.

Ovogodišnji osvajač juniorskog Wimbledona u pojedinačnoj i French Opena u konkurenciji parova, koji je nedavno napunio 18 godina, dobio je priliku da osjeti atmosferu u reprezentaciji, ali i da bude aktivan sudionik.

- Dojmovi su fantastični. Čast mi je prvi put biti dio tima. Dobro se treniralo, Nino i ja smo dobro odradili, prije toga Borna Ćorić i Nino, pa Mate Pavić i Nikola Mektić… Mislim da se dobro pripremaju i da će biti...
