Drugo izdanje WTA Croatia Bol Opena je pred vratima. Sredinom svibnja znat će se potpuna lista prijavljenih igračica, za “prvu ruku” predstavljamo vam nekoliko naših, domaćih uzdanica.

Ana Konjuh (19 godina)
Dubrovačka tenisačica odlično je otvorila godinu plasiravši se u finale WTA turnira u Aucklandu. Nanizala je Kirsten Flipkens, Yaninu Wickmayer, Naomi Osaku i Juliu Goerges. U finalu je bolja ipak bila Lauren Davies. Dok ovo pišemo Ana je 33. tenisačica svijeta. Prošle godine bila je velika favoritkinja i kao domaća tenisačica ujedno i uzdanica da će osvojiti naslov u Bolu. I izgledala je tako, ali u polufinalu ju je zaustavila ozljeda leđa.
Srećom, Ana se poslije Bola uspjela oporaviti. Protekle je godine na Braču lovila i zadnji vlak za Olimpijske igre u Rio de Janeiru te su joj bodovi bili prijeko potrebni. Na koncu je uspjela, ove godine nema Olimpijskih igara, a pitanje je koliko će daleko otići i dugo ostati u Parizu, na Roland Garrosu. Ukoliko prođe dva – tri kola njezin će nastup na domaćem tlu biti jako upitan.

Jana Fett (20 godina)

Cura iz Vrbovca svakako može puno. Imala je puno problema s ozljedama koje bi konačno trebale biti iza nje. I ona je fantastično počela novu sezonu plasiravši se u Hobartu u svoj prvi WTA polufinale u karijeri. I to nakon što je dobila tri teška meča u kvalifikacijama. U prvom kolu glavnog turnira pobijedila je bivšu osvajačicu Roland Garrosa, Talijanku Francescu Schiavone. Zanimljivo je i da je na turniru u Hobbartu istu igračicu pobijedila dva puta. U zadnjem kolu kvalifikacija bila je bolja od Paragvajke Veronice Capede Royg, no potonja je u glavni turnir ušla kao “sretna gubitnica”, stigla do četvrtfinale u kojemu je opet bolja bila Fett. U pravoj formi svakako bi i u Bolu mogla dogurati daleko.

Petra Martić (26 godina)

Poput Ane Konjuh i Petra će Bol pamtiti po ozljedi. Pokušala se tamo vratiti, igrati, unatoč problemima s leđima. U prvom kolu “singla” bolja je bila kasnija finalistica Slovenka Polona Hercog, no Petra je uspjela osvojiti turnir parova. Ipak, poslije tog turnira tenisačica iz Duća odigrala je još turnir u Ilkleyu te Wimbledon i otišla na saniranje ozljede, imala je ekstruziju diska.
Dogovorila je potom suradnju u “Schüttler-Waske Akademiji” koja je, čini se, urodila plodom. Petra je brzo pohvatala konce, osvojila jedan ITF turnir (25.000 dolara) u Italiji, u drugom igrala u polufinalu, potom i u polufinalu 60.000 dolara vrijednog turnira u Tunisu te je napredovala za više od 300 pozicija skočivši na 327. mjesto na svijetu. Bol bi mogao donijeti i puno više.

Tena Lukas (22 godine)

Kaštelanska tenisačica je 318. na svijetu. U ponekim trenucima pokazuje kako bi mogla i puno više, no najveći su joj problem velike oscilacije te kontinuitet kvalitetnih nastupa. U kvalifikacijama WTA turnira u Charlestona je, tako, pobijedila 172. na svijetu Samanthu Crawford 6:1, 6:1, u St. Petersburgu je 107 Denisu Allertovu namučila sve do konca trećeg seta, bilo je 7:5 za Allertovu... Svakako su to lijepi, ohrabrujući signali za visoku tenisačicu koja tek treba iskoristiti svoj potencijal.

Direktor WTA Croatia Bol Opena Feliks Lukas stariji joj je brat koji itekako brine o sestrinoj karijeri, budućnosti, na njoj je sada da krvavim radom i dobrim igrama sebi prokrči put prema vrhu.

Drugo izdanje WTA Croatia Bol Opena je pred vratima. Sredinom svibnja znat će se potpuna lista prijavljenih igračica, za “prvu ruku” predstavljamo vam nekoliko naših, domaćih uzdanica.

Ana Konjuh (19 godina)
Dubrovačka tenisačica odlično je otvorila godinu plasiravši se u finale WTA turnira u Aucklandu. Nanizala je Kirsten Flipkens, Yaninu Wickmayer, Naomi Osaku i Juliu Goerges. U finalu je bolja ipak bila Lauren Davies. Dok ovo pišemo Ana je 33. tenisačica svijeta. Prošle godine bila je velika favoritkinja i kao domaća tenisačica ujedno i uzdanica da će osvojiti naslov u Bolu. I izgledala je tako, ali u polufinalu ju je zaustavila ozljeda leđa.
Srećom, Ana se poslije Bola uspjela oporaviti. Protekle je godine na Braču lovila i zadnji vlak za Olimpijske igre u Rio de Janeiru te su joj bodovi bili prijeko potrebni. Na koncu je uspjela, ove godine nema Olimpijskih igara, a pitanje je koliko će daleko otići i dugo ostati u Parizu, na Roland Garrosu. Ukoliko prođe dva – tri kola njezin će nastup na domaćem tlu biti jako upitan.

Jana Fett (20 godina)

Cura iz Vrbovca svakako može puno. Imala je puno problema s ozljedama koje bi konačno trebale biti iza nje. I ona je fantastično počela novu sezonu plasiravši se u Hobartu u svoj prvi WTA polufinale u karijeri. I to nakon što je dobila tri teška meča u kvalifikacijama. U prvom kolu glavnog turnira pobijedila je bivšu osvajačicu Roland Garrosa, Talijanku Francescu Schiavone. Zanimljivo je i da je na turniru u Hobbartu istu igračicu pobijedila dva puta. U zadnjem kolu kvalifikacija bila je bolja od Paragvajke Veronice Capede Royg, no potonja je u glavni turnir ušla kao “sretna gubitnica”, stigla do četvrtfinale u kojemu je opet bolja bila Fett. U pravoj formi svakako bi i u Bolu mogla dogurati daleko.

Petra Martić (26 godina)

Poput Ane Konjuh i Petra će Bol pamtiti po ozljedi. Pokušala se tamo vratiti, igrati, unatoč problemima s leđima. U prvom kolu “singla” bolja je bila kasnija finalistica Slovenka Polona Hercog, no Petra je uspjela osvojiti turnir parova. Ipak, poslije tog turnira tenisačica iz Duća odigrala je još turnir u Ilkleyu te Wimbledon i otišla na saniranje ozljede, imala je ekstruziju diska.
Dogovorila je potom suradnju u “Schüttler-Waske Akademiji” koja je, čini se, urodila plodom. Petra je brzo pohvatala konce, osvojila jedan ITF turnir (25.000 dolara) u Italiji, u drugom igrala u polufinalu, potom i u polufinalu 60.000 dolara vrijednog turnira u Tunisu te je napredovala za više od 300 pozicija skočivši na 327. mjesto na svijetu. Bol bi mogao donijeti i puno više.

Tena Lukas (22 godine)

Kaštelanska tenisačica je 318. na svijetu. U ponekim trenucima pokazuje kako bi mogla i puno više, no najveći su joj problem velike oscilacije te kontinuitet kvalitetnih nastupa. U kvalifikacijama WTA turnira u Charlestona je, tako, pobijedila 172. na svijetu Samanthu Crawford 6:1, 6:1, u St. Petersburgu je 107 Denisu Allertovu namučila sve do konca trećeg seta, bilo je 7:5 za Allertovu... Svakako su to lijepi, ohrabrujući signali za visoku tenisačicu koja tek treba iskoristiti svoj potencijal.

Direktor WTA Croatia Bol Opena Feliks Lukas stariji joj je brat koji itekako brine o sestrinoj karijeri, budućnosti, na njoj je sada da krvavim radom i dobrim igrama sebi prokrči put prema vrhu.
