Donedavni trener Hajduka Valdas Dambrauskas i službeno je predstavljen kao novi strateg grčkog prvoligaša OFI-ja s Krete. Otočani su nakon devet prvenstvenih kola tek na jednoj pobjedi, tri remija i pet poraza, zbog čega je otkaz na mjestu Valdasovog prethodnika dobio Nikos Nioplias.

- Sretan sam što sam ovdje, dobar je dan za doći u obitelj OFI Krete, doći u Grčku. To je moj prvi posao ovdje. OFI je odraz identiteta ovog otoka, jako vjerujem u ovaj projekt koji bi mogao biti vrlo uspješan, na radost svih navijača - kazao je u uvodu u društvu predsjednika, direktora i prevoditeljice s grčkog na engleski, prenose Sportske novosti.

Kako je došlo do toga da Dambrauskas preuzme OFI?

- Razumijete da u nogometu sve ide jako brzo, a nema kluba koji usred sezone želi promijeniti trenera. Ali, nažalost, stvarnost je drugačija. Stvar je sati u kojima se sve može promijeniti. Prihvatio sam posao odmah, a dojam o ovom klubu je pozitivan. Grčki nogomet je poznat u Europi, klubovi redovno igraju u europskim natjecanjima. OFI je tradicionalan, povijesni klub, također je jako poznat. Ponosan sam što sam ovdje i što predstavljam ovaj klub - nastavio je Dambrauskas.

Nakon 38 utakmica u Hajduku i osvojenog hrvatskog Kupa u prošloj sezoni, Valdas je tek nešto više od mjesec dana odmarao, čekajući novi posao. Sada mu predstoji težak zadatak, jer OFI je tek na 11. mjestu od 14 klubova u grčkoj ligi. Prošle sezone završili su na 8. mjestu, a cilj je povratak u europski nogomet. Ondje su zadnji puta bili u sezoni 2020/21 kada ih je na prvoj prepreci, u 2. pretkolu kvalifikacija za Europsku ligu eliminirao ciparski Apollon.

- Nismo zadovoljni s pozicijom na početku sezone. Ali, još nismo na pola prvenstva, moramo ići korak po korak, još je puno posla pred nama. Važna je komunikacija, izgradnja povjerenja i veza između igrača i igrača s trenerima. Moramo maknuti pritisak s igrača, vjerovati u njih. Pustiti ih i da riskiraju i da igraju hrabro. Neće biti lagano, to znam - rekao je novi trener grčkog prvoligaša.

Kakva mu je filozofija, zanimalo je grčke novinare?

- Ja sam otvorena osoba koja voli posao, zato sam i rado prihvatio ovaj posao u Grčkoj. Ovo je povijesni klub koji cijeni sport kao takav, a za mene su važni ljudi s kojima radim. Ljudi koji su mi predstavili projekt i ono što žele dali su mi doznanja da ću napraviti dobru stvar dolaskom ovdje. Bit će teško podignuti klub na još višu razinu, a tek će onda početi prave stvari, jer će trebati i zadržati takvu razinu.

Navijači nisu zadovoljni... To su pokazali u ponedjeljak, kada je OFI odigrao 0:0 s Lamijom. Pobjeda je izostala, a igrači su s terena bili ispraćeni zvižducima.

- Ja to jako dobro znam. I imaju pravo, jer navijači su ti koji trebaju pokazati ono što osjećaju. Ali, uvjeren sam da nitko od njih ne želi emitirati negativnu energiju. Žele nas potaknuti da budemo bolji. Na nama je sada da radimo iz dana u dan pa da to onda i prikazujemo na terenu.

Donedavni trener Hajduka Valdas Dambrauskas i službeno je predstavljen kao novi strateg grčkog prvoligaša OFI-ja s Krete. Otočani su nakon devet prvenstvenih kola tek na jednoj pobjedi, tri remija i pet poraza, zbog čega je otkaz na mjestu Valdasovog prethodnika dobio Nikos Nioplias.

- Sretan sam što sam ovdje, dobar je dan za doći u obitelj OFI Krete, doći u Grčku. To je moj prvi posao ovdje. OFI je odraz identiteta ovog otoka, jako vjerujem u ovaj projekt koji bi mogao biti vrlo uspješan, na radost svih navijača - kazao je u uvodu u društvu predsjednika, direktora i prevoditeljice s grčkog na engleski, prenose Sportske novosti.

Kako je došlo do toga da Dambrauskas preuzme OFI?

- Razumijete da u nogometu sve ide jako brzo, a nema kluba koji usred sezone želi promijeniti trenera. Ali, nažalost, stvarnost je drugačija. Stvar je sati u kojima se sve može promijeniti. Prihvatio sam posao odmah, a dojam o ovom klubu je pozitivan. Grčki nogomet je poznat u Europi, klubovi redovno igraju u europskim natjecanjima. OFI je tradicionalan, povijesni klub, također je jako poznat. Ponosan sam što sam ovdje i što predstavljam ovaj klub - nastavio je Dambrauskas.

Nakon 38 utakmica u Hajduku i osvojenog hrvatskog Kupa u prošloj sezoni, Valdas je tek nešto više od mjesec dana odmarao, čekajući novi posao. Sada mu predstoji težak zadatak, jer OFI je tek na 11. mjestu od 14 klubova u grčkoj ligi. Prošle sezone završili su na 8. mjestu, a cilj je povratak u europski nogomet. Ondje su zadnji puta bili u sezoni 2020/21 kada ih je na prvoj prepreci, u 2. pretkolu kvalifikacija za Europsku ligu eliminirao ciparski Apollon.

- Nismo zadovoljni s pozicijom na početku sezone. Ali, još nismo na pola prvenstva, moramo ići korak po korak, još je puno posla pred nama. Važna je komunikacija, izgradnja povjerenja i veza između igrača i igrača s trenerima. Moramo maknuti pritisak s igrača, vjerovati u njih. Pustiti ih i da riskiraju i da igraju hrabro. Kakva mu je filozofija, zanimalo je grčke novinare?

Navijači nisu zadovoljni... To su pokazali u ponedjeljak, kada je OFI odigrao 0:0 s Lamijom. Pobjeda je izostala, a igrači su s terena bili ispraćeni zvižducima.

- Ja to jako dobro znam. I imaju pravo, jer navijači su ti koji trebaju pokazati ono što osjećaju. Ali, uvjeren sam da nitko od njih ne želi emitirati negativnu energiju. Žele nas potaknuti da budemo bolji. Na nama je sada da radimo iz dana u dan pa da to onda i prikazujemo na terenu.

Valdas Dambrauskas službeno predstavljen kao novi trener grčkog prvoligaša: ‘Navijači imaju pravo‘

Donedavni trener Hajduka Valdas Dambrauskas i službeno je predstavljen kao novi strateg grčkog prvoligaša OFI-ja s Krete. Otočani su nakon devet prvenstvenih kola tek na jednoj pobjedi, tri remija i pet poraza, zbog čega je otkaz na mjestu Valdasovog prethodnika dobio Nikos Nioplias.

- Sretan sam što sam ovdje, dobar je dan za doći u obitelj OFI Krete, doći u Grčku. To je moj prvi posao ovdje. OFI je odraz identiteta ovog otoka, jako vjerujem u ovaj projekt koji bi mogao biti vrlo uspješan, na radost svih navijača - kazao je u uvodu u društvu predsjednika, direktora i prevoditeljice s grčkog na engleski, prenose Sportske novosti.

Kako je došlo do toga da Dambrauskas preuzme OFI?

- Razumijete da u nogometu sve ide jako brzo, a nema kluba koji usred sezone želi promijeniti...
