Ovaj zamišljeni razgovor daleko je od stvarne situacije, ali u očima navijača – tako nekako se čini... Novi gazda Chelseaja Todd Boehly nemilice troši, milijune baca šakom i kapom. Na znane i neznane. Nogometni se svijet i do posljednjeg dana prijelaznog roka zgražao na ono što je radio klub sa Stamford Bridgea.
Nitko nije ni bio svjestan da ono najluđe tek slijedi. Nitko valjda, osim Fabrizija Romana koji je na svom mobitelu već imao natipkano „Here we go!” i samo je čekao da mu netko dojavi kako je posao sklopljen.
Ruke su se našle u čvrstom stisku, i posao je brže-bolje završen. Cijena? Prava sitnica. Za mladog Argentinca Enza Fernandeza Benfici će platiti 121 milijun eura. To je, pogađate, najskuplji transfer u povijesti engleskog Premiershipa. A znate da tamo konkurencija i nije baš bezazlena...
Dojma smo kako bi Boehly i društvo lupnuli još koji milijun više, samo da je Benfica pitala. Fernandez je tako postao sedmo zimsko pojačanje na Stamford Bridgeu. Šestorku koja je također netom pristigla čine: Mihajlo Mudrik (70 milijuna), Benoit Badiashile (38), Noni Madueke (35), Andrey Santos (12.5), David Datro Fofana (12) i Joao Felix (posudba, 11).
Samo u zimskom prijelaznom roku sprašili su, dakle, 330 milijuna eura. Uračunamo li i mercato prošlog ljeta dolazimo do vrtoglavih 612 milijuna. Toliko su američki vlasnici dali na pojačanja otkako su preuzeli klub. A žalili smo se da Roman Abramovič puno troši...
Usporedbe radi, više je to nego što su potrošili svi njemački klubovi, uključujući i Bayern. A više je i nego što su platili svi španjolski klubovi. Znamo da i tamo ima teškaša (Real, Barcelona, Atletico).
Dok se sva sila novih igrača još uvijek dobro ne snalazi po hodnicima Stamford Bridgea i Cobhama, trener Graham Potter ima „nemoguć” zadatak. Dobio je što je htio, vjerojatno i više od toga. Na njemu je da nekako sastavi družinu koja će Chelsea s katastrofalnog 10. mjesta vinuti do Lige prvaka.
Od domaćih trofeja su se za ovu sezonu već oprostili. Preostalo im je tek nadati se novom čudu u Ligi prvaka. Tamo ih u osmini finala čeka dvomeč s Borussijom Dortmund. Plavci su se nakon zimskog šopinga našli u problemu. Ne, ne radi se o kršenju financijskog fair-playa... Kako su to uspjeli iskombinirati, zna valjda samo Bog...
Riječ je o registraciji igrača za Ligu prvaka. Fernandez i Mudrik su preskupo plaćeni kako ne bi upali u roster. A bez nastupa u elitnom klupskom natjecanju zato bi mogli ostati Badiashile, Madueke, Fofana i Santos. Kvartet je to plaćen gotovo 100 milijuna eura. Međutim, mjesta za njih u utakmicama s Nijemcima neće biti.
Pitanje je hoće li „okusiti” Ligu prvaka i sljedeće sezone. Čini se kako su Arsenal i Manchester City svoja mjesta već „zakaparili”, a na trećoj i četvrtoj poziciji za sada su Newcastle i Manchester United. Osim Chelseaja, mjestu među četiri nadaju se Tottenham i Liverpool, a preskočiti im valja i Brighton, Fulham, te Brentford.

Ovaj zamišljeni razgovor daleko je od stvarne situacije, ali u očima navijača – tako nekako se čini... Novi gazda Chelseaja Todd Boehly nemilice troši, milijune baca šakom i kapom. Na znane i neznane. Nogometni se svijet i do posljednjeg dana prijelaznog roka zgražao na ono što je radio klub sa Stamford Bridgea.
Nitko nije ni bio svjestan da ono najluđe tek slijedi. Nitko valjda, osim Fabrizija Romana koji je na svom mobitelu već imao natipkano „Here we go!” i samo je čekao da mu netko dojavi kako je posao sklopljen.
Ruke su se našle u čvrstom stisku, i posao je brže-bolje završen. Cijena? Prava sitnica. Za mladog Argentinca Enza Fernandeza Benfici će platiti 121 milijun eura. To je, pogađate, najskuplji transfer u povijesti engleskog Premiershipa. A znate da tamo konkurencija i nije baš bezazlena...
Dojma smo kako bi Boehly i društvo lupnuli još koji milijun više, samo da je Benfica pitala. Fernandez je tako postao sedmo zimsko pojačanje na Stamford Bridgeu. Samo u zimskom prijelaznom roku sprašili su, dakle, 330 milijuna eura. Uračunamo li i mercato prošlog ljeta dolazimo do vrtoglavih 612 milijuna. Toliko su američki vlasnici dali na pojačanja otkako su preuzeli klub. A žalili smo se da Roman Abramovič puno troši...
Usporedbe radi, više je to nego što su potrošili svi njemački klubovi, uključujući i Bayern. A više je i nego što su platili svi španjolski klubovi. Znamo da i tamo ima teškaša (Real, Barcelona, Atletico).
Dok se sva sila novih igrača još uvijek dobro ne snalazi po hodnicima Stamford Bridgea i Cobhama, trener Graham Potter ima „nemoguć” zadatak. Dobio je što je htio, vjerojatno i više od toga. Na njemu je da nekako sastavi družinu koja će Chelsea s katastrofalnog 10. mjesta vinuti do Lige prvaka.
Od domaćih trofeja su se za ovu sezonu već oprostili. Preostalo im je tek nadati se novom čudu u Ligi prvaka. Tamo ih u osmini finala čeka dvomeč s Borussijom Dortmund. Plavci su se nakon zimskog šopinga našli u problemu. Ne, ne radi se o kršenju financijskog fair-playa... Kako su to uspjeli iskombinirati, zna valjda samo Bog...
Riječ je o registraciji igrača za Ligu prvaka. Fernandez i Mudrik su preskupo plaćeni kako ne bi upali u roster. A bez nastupa u elitnom klupskom natjecanju zato bi mogli ostati Badiashile, Madueke, Fofana i Santos. Kvartet je to plaćen gotovo 100 milijuna eura. Međutim, mjesta za njih u utakmicama s Nijemcima neće biti.
Pitanje je hoće li „okusiti” Ligu prvaka i sljedeće sezone. Čini se kako su Arsenal i Manchester City svoja mjesta već „zakaparili”, a na trećoj i četvrtoj poziciji za sada su Newcastle i Manchester United. Osim Chelseaja, mjestu među četiri nadaju se Tottenham i Liverpool, a preskočiti im valja i Brighton, Fulham, te Brentford.
