Jaroslav Silhavy (56) novi je izbornik češke nogometne reprezentacije i na tom će mjestu zamijeniti Karela Jarolima koji je smijenjen nakon niza osrednjih rezultata, objavio je u utorak Češki nogometni savez (FACR).

Silhavy je s FACR-om potpisao ugovor koji vrijedi do kraja kvalifikacija za Euro 2020. godine.

"To je logičan izbor. Jaroslav Silhavy iza sebe ima brojne uspjehe", izjavio je predsjednik FACR-a Martin Malik.

Bivši reprezentativac i obrambeni igrač (četiri nastupa za reprezentaciju), Silhavy je rekorder po broju utakmica odigranih u prvoj čehoslovačkoj ligi, a zatim u češkoj (465 utakmica od 1979. do 1999.) i to u dresu Crvene zvijezde Cheb, praške Slavije, Petra Drnovice i Viktorie Zizkov.

Kao trener, uspješno je vodio od 2008. sedam klubova u prvoj češkoj ligi, a sa Slovanom Liberec je 2012. osvojio naslov prvaka Češke kao i sa Slavijom iz Praga 2017.

Od 2001. do 2009. obnašao je dužnost pomoćnika izbornika Karela Brücknera, a zatim i Petra Rade. U tom je razdoblju Češka stigla do polufinala Eura 2004. te se plasirala na SP 2006.

"Naš je kratkoročni cilj jasan: stabilizirati momčad, uspostaviti sustav igre, izabrati igrače. Ukratko, raditi", rekao je kratko Silhavy čiji će jedan od pomoćnika biti bivši reprezentativni veznjak Tomas Galasek.

Jarolim je smijenjen nakon poraza od Rusije (1-5) u prijateljskoj utakmici. Prije tog poraza Česi su izgubili kod kuće od Ukrajine (1-2) u Ligi nacija. 

Silhavy će voditi Češku kao izbornik prvi put sredinom listopada u utakmicama protiv Slovačke i Ukrajine u Ligi nacija.

Jaroslav Silhavy (56) novi je izbornik češke nogometne reprezentacije i na tom će mjestu zamijeniti Karela Jarolima koji je smijenjen nakon niza osrednjih rezultata, objavio je u utorak Češki nogometni savez (FACR).

Silhavy je s FACR-om potpisao ugovor koji vrijedi do kraja kvalifikacija za Euro 2020. godine.

"To je logičan izbor. Jaroslav Silhavy iza sebe ima brojne uspjehe", izjavio je predsjednik FACR-a Martin Malik.

Bivši reprezentativac i obrambeni igrač (četiri nastupa za reprezentaciju), Silhavy je rekorder po broju utakmica odigranih u prvoj čehoslovačkoj ligi, a zatim u češkoj (465 utakmica od 1979. do 1999.) i to u dresu Crvene zvijezde Cheb, praške Slavije, Petra Drnovice i Viktorie Zizkov.

Kao trener, uspješno je vodio od 2008. sedam klubova u prvoj češkoj ligi, a sa Slovanom Liberec je 2012. osvojio naslov prvaka Češke kao i sa Slavijom iz Praga 2017.

Od 2001. do 2009. obnašao je dužnost pomoćnika izbornika Karela Brücknera, a zatim i Petra Rade. U tom je razdoblju Češka stigla do polufinala Eura 2004. te se plasirala na SP 2006.

"Naš je kratkoročni cilj jasan: stabilizirati momčad, uspostaviti sustav igre, izabrati igrače. Ukratko, raditi", rekao je kratko Silhavy čiji će jedan od pomoćnika biti bivši reprezentativni veznjak Tomas Galasek.

Jarolim je smijenjen nakon poraza od Rusije (1-5) u prijateljskoj utakmici. Prije tog poraza Česi su izgubili kod kuće od Ukrajine (1-2) u Ligi nacija. 

Silhavy će voditi Češku kao izbornik prvi put sredinom listopada u utakmicama protiv Slovačke i Ukrajine u Ligi nacija.
