Ako je Domagoj Pavlović najveći pehist hrvatskog rukometa zbog silnih ozljede koje su ga pratile, onda je Šime Ivić sasvim sigurno, gledajući dosadašnju reprezentativnu karijeru, najveći mazohist hrvatskog rukometa. Dečko koji je u mladim danima prošao sve selekcije, a nikako da dobije priliku u onoj najboljoj. Razloge je teško dokučiti, tim prije što igra dobro i to u najboljoj ligi svijeta u Njemačkoj. Pokušao je tko zna koliko puta, čak je nakon 2020. i srebra u Švedskoj Lino Červar priznao da je pogriješio da mu nije dao priliku pišu Sportske novosti

Otpao je, međutim, i za Egipat ove zime, makar su ga mnogi već vidjeli tamo. No, ono najvažnije je da se Šime ne predaje, da i dalje igra dobro i dalje sanja svoju priliku. I sada je u konkurenciji Martinovića i Šebetića, pa se nada da bi se u Montpellieru za njega moglo pronaći malo mjesta i za njega.

Ne predajete se?

- Ne, nikada. Da ne vjerujem da mogu, ne bih bio tu, ali daleko sam od tog razmišljanja. Meni je činjenica da sam tu privilegija, nešto čemu sam težio cijelu karijeru. Istina je da sam puno puta bio prekobrojan, ali to su situacije koje su stvar odabira, na koje ne mogu utjecati. Je li mi bilo teško, to ću zadržati za sebe, a ono što mi je najbitnije je da sam i dalje tu i da želim tu priliku.

Bilo je puno pokušaja?

- Bilo je, nekako se s odlaskom Kopljara pojavila realnost da bi to trebalo biti tako, ali nije bilo. Davno je bio moj debi, Goluža je bio izbornik, bili smo na jednom turniru u Austriji, pa smo išli u Koreju, tamo sam bio čak i MVP, ali priliku ipak na velikoj sceni nisam dočekao.

I sada je možda nova prilika, ne baš lagana?

- To nema veze, to je stvar koja se ne bira, pitanje je samo jesi li spreman za to ili ne. Ja mogu reći da jesam, da više nisam mlad igrač. Dosta je toga iza mene. Bio sam u Celju, u Nantesu, u Wisli, u Meškovu, sada sam u Erlangenu. Njemačka i Francuska su dvije najjače lige, iza mene se skupilo i pet sezona Lige prvaka. Tu se ne mogu požaliti, drago mi je i da se drugi ne žale na mene.

U Erlangenu ove sezone...

- Dobro, čak i više od toga. Sezona je takva kakva jest. Erlangen se u nekim stvarima bori više sam sa sobom nego s protivnicima, jer recimo pobijedimo Berlin, uzmemo bod u Wetzlaru, gdje je tjedan prije izgubio Kiela, a onda izgubimo od Balinegna i Coburga. To nije dobro. Što se mene tiče, ja sam zadovoljan, iza mene je njemački reprezentativac Metzner, a kada je tako to znači da moraš biti bar 30-40 posto bolji od njega da bi igrao.

Napredujete pomalo, dogodine ste u novom klubu?

- Da, za novu sezonu sam izabrao sam Leipzig, gdje je i naš Marko Mamić. Ambiciozni su, iznenađen sam činjenicom da je trener Leipziga znao baš sve o meni, da je želio baš mene u svojoj momčadi. To mi je i izazov i kompliment.

Često ste u postavi kola Bundeslige?

- Tu nisam skroman, mislim da je bilo pet-šest puta, a ovo je druga sezona i mislim da će u Leipzigu biti i više.

Kaže novi izborni Horvat da od vas očekuje samo ono što cijelo vrijeme raditi u Erlangenu, da vas nekad ubije trema?

- Ne znam je li to trema, ali znam da se neke stvari događaju kroz igru, da kada ne igraš ne možeš baš lako doći do automatizma, popratiti neke stvari. Trening je jedno, utakmice su nešto sasvim drugo, tu se mora reagirati maksimalno dobro. Ne sumnjam u sebe, ako dobijem priliku da će biti tako. Mislim da sam priliku zaslužio.

Težak će biti turnir?

- Jak je turnir, ali mislim da smo jaki i mi, makar to u Egiptu nismo pokazali. Za prave se stvari moraš se uvijek potruditi.

Francuska je favorit i domaćin?

- Istina, makar bez publike to domaćinstvo nema toliku težinu. Francuska je top momčad, ima sjajne igrače, a dvije najjače strane na koje moramo obratiti pažnju su polukontra i šut s distance koji često zna biti brzoplet što se da dobro iskoristiti.

Portugal svi vide kao opasnost?

- Nije im lako nakon ove tragedije s Quintanom. Imaju dobre igrače, ja gledam tog Andre Gomeza koji je onako gumen, brz, dobar, koji dolazi u Bundesligu, u Melsungen iduće sezone. I mislim da ih se može spriječiti u toj njihovoj snazi i brzini.

I Tunis je dobar?

- Preveliki je posao prva dva dana, tako da sad još iskreno ne mislimo puno na njih. Imat ćemo ih priliku upoznati na samom turniru, pogledati i pripremiti se. Ono što je sigurno da razinom ne zaostaju za ostalima – zaključio je Šime Ivić.

U Montpellier će sva trojica ljevaka, Martinović, Šebetić i on, a kako kojeg vidi izbornik Horvat to ćemo vidjeti. Možda Šime Ivić nakon nedjelje postane hit priča, nikad se ne zna. Znate onu - ako stvarno nešto želiš i nečemu težiš... Motiv čuda radi, a Šime ga na sreću izgubio nije.

Ako je Domagoj Pavlović najveći pehist hrvatskog rukometa zbog silnih ozljede koje su ga pratile, onda je Šime Ivić sasvim sigurno, gledajući dosadašnju reprezentativnu karijeru, najveći mazohist hrvatskog rukometa. Dečko koji je u mladim danima prošao sve selekcije, a nikako da dobije priliku u onoj najboljoj. Razloge je teško dokučiti, tim prije što igra dobro i to u najboljoj ligi svijeta u Njemačkoj. Pokušao je tko zna koliko puta, čak je nakon 2020. i srebra u Švedskoj Lino Červar priznao da je pogriješio da mu nije dao priliku pišu Sportske novosti

Otpao je, međutim, i za Egipat ove zime, makar su ga mnogi već vidjeli tamo. No, ono najvažnije je da se Šime ne predaje, da i dalje igra dobro i dalje sanja svoju priliku. I sada je u konkurenciji Martinovića i Šebetića, pa se nada da bi se u Montpellieru za njega moglo pronaći malo mjesta i za njega.

Ne predajete se?

- Ne, nikada. Da ne vjerujem da mogu, ne bih bio tu, ali daleko sam od tog razmišljanja. Meni je činjenica da sam tu privilegija, nešto čemu sam težio cijelu karijeru. Istina je da sam puno puta bio prekobrojan, ali to su situacije koje su stvar odabira, na koje ne mogu utjecati. Je li mi bilo teško, to ću zadržati za sebe, a ono što mi je najbitnije je da sam i dalje tu i da želim tu priliku.

Bilo je puno pokušaja?

- Bilo je, nekako se s odlaskom Kopljara pojavila realnost da bi to trebalo biti tako, ali nije bilo. Davno je bio moj debi, Goluža je bio izbornik, bili smo na jednom turniru u Austriji, pa smo išli u Koreju, tamo sam bio čak i MVP, ali priliku ipak na velikoj sceni nisam dočekao.

I sada je možda nova prilika, ne baš lagana?

- To nema veze, to je stvar koja se ne bira, pitanje je samo jesi li spreman za to ili ne. Ja mogu reći da jesam, da više nisam mlad igrač. Dosta je toga iza mene. Bio sam u Celju, u Nantesu, u Wisli, u Meškovu, sada sam u Erlangenu. Njemačka i Francuska su dvije najjače lige, iza mene se skupilo i pet sezona Lige prvaka. Tu se ne mogu požaliti, drago mi je i da se drugi ne žale na mene.

U Erlangenu ove sezone...

- Dobro, čak i više od toga. Sezona je takva kakva jest. Erlangen se u nekim stvarima bori više sam sa sobom nego s protivnicima, jer recimo pobijedimo Berlin, uzmemo bod u Wetzlaru, gdje je tjedan prije izgubio Kiela, a onda izgubimo od Balinegna i Coburga. To nije dobro. Što se mene tiče, ja sam zadovoljan, iza mene je njemački reprezentativac Metzner, a kada je tako to znači da moraš biti bar 30-40 posto bolji od njega da bi igrao.

Napredujete pomalo, dogodine ste u novom klubu?

- Da, za novu sezonu sam izabrao sam Leipzig, gdje je i naš Marko Mamić. Ambiciozni su, iznenađen sam činjenicom da je trener Leipziga znao baš sve o meni, da je želio baš mene u svojoj momčadi. To mi je i izazov i kompliment.

Često ste u postavi kola Bundeslige?

- Tu nisam skroman, mislim da je bilo pet-šest puta, a ovo je druga sezona i mislim da će u Leipzigu biti i više.

Kaže novi izborni Horvat da od vas očekuje samo ono što cijelo vrijeme raditi u Erlangenu, da vas nekad ubije trema?

- Ne znam je li to trema, ali znam da se neke stvari događaju kroz igru, da kada ne igraš ne možeš baš lako doći do automatizma, popratiti neke stvari. Trening je jedno, utakmice su nešto sasvim drugo, tu se mora reagirati maksimalno dobro. Ne sumnjam u sebe, ako dobijem priliku da će biti tako. Mislim da sam priliku zaslužio.

Težak će biti turnir?

- Jak je turnir, ali mislim da smo jaki i mi, makar to u Egiptu nismo pokazali. Za prave se stvari moraš se uvijek potruditi.

Francuska je favorit i domaćin?

- Istina, makar bez publike to domaćinstvo nema toliku težinu. Francuska je top momčad, ima sjajne igrače, a dvije najjače strane na koje moramo obratiti pažnju su polukontra i šut s distance koji često zna biti brzoplet što se da dobro iskoristiti.

Portugal svi vide kao opasnost?

- Nije im lako nakon ove tragedije s Quintanom. Imaju dobre igrače, ja gledam tog Andre Gomeza koji je onako gumen, brz, dobar, koji dolazi u Bundesligu, u Melsungen iduće sezone. I mislim da ih se može spriječiti u toj njihovoj snazi i brzini.

I Tunis je dobar?

- Preveliki je posao prva dva dana, tako da sad još iskreno ne mislimo puno na njih. Imat ćemo ih priliku upoznati na samom turniru, pogledati i pripremiti se. Ono što je sigurno da razinom ne zaostaju za ostalima – zaključio je Šime Ivić.

U Montpellier će sva trojica ljevaka, Martinović, Šebetić i on, a kako kojeg vidi izbornik Horvat to ćemo vidjeti. Možda Šime Ivić nakon nedjelje postane hit priča, nikad se ne zna. Znate onu - ako stvarno nešto želiš i nečemu težiš... Motiv čuda radi, a Šime ga na sreću izgubio nije.

Ako je Domagoj Pavlović najveći pehist hrvatskog rukometa zbog silnih ozljede koje su ga pratile, onda je Šime Ivić sasvim sigurno, gledajući dosadašnju reprezentativnu karijeru, najveći mazohist hrvatskog rukometa. Dečko koji je u mladim danima prošao sve selekcije, a nikako da dobije priliku u onoj najboljoj. Razloge je teško dokučiti, tim prije što igra dobro i to u najboljoj ligi svijeta u Njemačkoj. Pokušao je tko zna koliko puta, čak je nakon 2020. i srebra u Švedskoj Lino Červar priznao da je pogriješio da mu nije dao priliku pišu Sportske novosti
