Olimpijskog pobjednika u spustu američkog skijaša Bodea Millera zadesila je tragedija u ponedjeljak kada se njegova 19-mjesečna kćerka utopila u bazenu, objavila je kalifornijska policija.

Emeline Gier Miller pronađena je bez svijesti u susjedovom bazenu u Cota de Caza, u okrugu Orange, južno od Los Angelesa. Miller (40) i njegova supruga Morgan bili su na proslavi kod tog susjeda u trenutku tragedije.

Oživljavanje nažalost nije uspjelo, izjavio je kapetan vatrogasaca Tony Bommarito. "Dugo su pokušavali", kazao je.

Bode Miller je nakon nesreće objavio poruku na Instagramu u kojoj navodi da su on i njegova obitelj "više nego shrvani".

"Naša beba Emmy je jučer preminula. Nisam mislio da ću ikada doživjeti ovakvu bol", napisao je skijaš moleći za poštivanje privatnosti.

Bode Miller je najtrofejniji američki skijaš sa šest olimpijskih medalja osvojenih 2002., 2010. i 2014. od kojih je zlatna iz kombinacije sa Igara u Salt Lake Cityju (2002.). Također je osvojio četiri naslova svjetskog prvaka kao i dva Kristalna globusa 2005. i 2008. Skijašku je karijeru odlučio prekinuti prije nekoliko mjeseci.

Oženio je 2012. godine odbojkašicu na pjesku Morgan Beck. Imaju sina Edwarda Millera, rođenog 2015., godinu dana prije Emeline.

Olimpijskog pobjednika u spustu američkog skijaša Bodea Millera zadesila je tragedija u ponedjeljak kada se njegova 19-mjesečna kćerka utopila u bazenu, objavila je kalifornijska policija.

Emeline Gier Miller pronađena je bez svijesti u susjedovom bazenu u Cota de Caza, u okrugu Orange, južno od Los Angelesa. Miller (40) i njegova supruga Morgan bili su na proslavi kod tog susjeda u trenutku tragedije.

Oživljavanje nažalost nije uspjelo, izjavio je kapetan vatrogasaca Tony Bommarito. "Dugo su pokušavali", kazao je.

Bode Miller je nakon nesreće objavio poruku na Instagramu u kojoj navodi da su on i njegova obitelj "više nego shrvani".

"Naša beba Emmy je jučer preminula. Nisam mislio da ću ikada doživjeti ovakvu bol", napisao je skijaš moleći za poštivanje privatnosti.

Bode Miller je najtrofejniji američki skijaš sa šest olimpijskih medalja osvojenih 2002., 2010. i 2014. od kojih je zlatna iz kombinacije sa Igara u Salt Lake Cityju (2002.). Također je osvojio četiri naslova svjetskog prvaka kao i dva Kristalna globusa 2005. i 2008. Skijašku je karijeru odlučio prekinuti prije nekoliko mjeseci.

Oženio je 2012. godine odbojkašicu na pjesku Morgan Beck. Imaju sina Edwarda Millera, rođenog 2015., godinu dana prije Emeline.
