Nijemac Thomas Roehler, aktualni olimpijski prvak u bacanju koplja, objavio je u ponedjeljak da se neće natjecati na olimpijskim igrama u Tokiju (23. srpnja do 8. kolovoza) zbog ozljede leđa, a od nastupa na ovogodišnjim Igrama odustao je i Poljak Adam Kszczot, svjetski dvoranski prvak na 800 m.  

"Bilo mi je nevjerojatno teško odustati od odlaska u Tokio. S trenerom sam detaljno izvagao za i protiv, ali u konačnici odlučila je briga za moje zdravlje", izjavio je 29-godišnji Roehler koji se ozlijedio na treningu.

"Sada moram slušati svoje tijelo jer se želim natjecati na najvišem nivou još nekoliko godina. Sudjelovanjem na olimpijskim igrama previše bih riskirao zbog ozljede leđa", dodao je.

Roehler, koji je i aktualni europski prvak, osvojio je zlato na OI u Rio de Janeiru hicem od 90,30 m.

Istovremeno je poljski srednjeprugaš Adam Kszczot također objavio da odustaje od OI u Tokiju zbog "lanca događaja".

"Na žalost, ovaj put neću biti tamo. Ostajem u Poljskoj", objavio je Poljak na svom Facebooku, dodajući da ga njegov "organizam odbija slušati" od povratka s priprema u Keniji i da ga je cjepivo protiv Covida-19, kojeg je primio, poremetilo te da bi se sada trebao baviti "obiteljskim pitanjima".

Ali 31-godišnji Kszczot je istaknuo da to ne znači da "odustaje sasvim, nego da će se početi prioremati za drugi dio sezone".

On je na 800 m osvojio zlato na svjetskom dvoranskom prvenstvu 2018. te srebrne medalje na svjetskom dvoranskom prvenstvu 2014. te na svjetskim prvenstvima 2015. i 2017.

Sudjelovao je na olimpijskim igrama u Londonu i Rio de Janeiru, ali nije stigao do finala.

Nijemac Thomas Roehler, aktualni olimpijski prvak u bacanju koplja, objavio je u ponedjeljak da se neće natjecati na olimpijskim igrama u Tokiju (23. srpnja do 8. kolovoza) zbog ozljede leđa, a od nastupa na ovogodišnjim Igrama odustao je i Poljak Adam Kszczot, svjetski dvoranski prvak na 800 m.  

"Bilo mi je nevjerojatno teško odustati od odlaska u Tokio. S trenerom sam detaljno izvagao za i protiv, ali u konačnici odlučila je briga za moje zdravlje", izjavio je 29-godišnji Roehler koji se ozlijedio na treningu.

"Sada moram slušati svoje tijelo jer se želim natjecati na najvišem nivou još nekoliko godina. Sudjelovanjem na olimpijskim igrama previše bih riskirao zbog ozljede leđa", dodao je.

Roehler, koji je i aktualni europski prvak, osvojio je zlato na OI u Rio de Janeiru hicem od 90,30 m.

Istovremeno je poljski srednjeprugaš Adam Kszczot također objavio da odustaje od OI u Tokiju zbog "lanca događaja".

"Na žalost, ovaj put neću biti tamo. Ostajem u Poljskoj", objavio je Poljak na svom Facebooku, dodajući da ga njegov "organizam odbija slušati" od povratka s priprema u Keniji i da ga je cjepivo protiv Covida-19, kojeg je primio, poremetilo te da bi se sada trebao baviti "obiteljskim pitanjima".

Ali 31-godišnji Kszczot je istaknuo da to ne znači da "odustaje sasvim, nego da će se početi prioremati za drugi dio sezone".

On je na 800 m osvojio zlato na svjetskom dvoranskom prvenstvu 2018. te srebrne medalje na svjetskom dvoranskom prvenstvu 2014. te na svjetskim prvenstvima 2015. i 2017.

Sudjelovao je na olimpijskim igrama u Londonu i Rio de Janeiru, ali nije stigao do finala.

Olimpijski pobjednik u bacanju koplja i srednjeprugaš Kszczot odustali od OI

Nijemac Thomas Roehler, aktualni olimpijski prvak u bacanju koplja, objavio je u ponedjeljak da se neće natjecati na olimpijskim igrama u Tokiju (23. srpnja do 8. kolovoza) zbog ozljede leđa, a od nastupa na ovogodišnjim Igrama odustao je i Poljak Adam Kszczot, svjetski dvoranski prvak na 800 m.  

"Bilo mi je nevjerojatno teško odustati od odlaska u Tokio. S trenerom sam detaljno izvagao za i protiv, ali u konačnici odlučila je briga za moje zdravlje", izjavio je 29-godišnji Roehler koji se ozlijedio na treningu.

"Sada moram slušati svoje tijelo jer se želim natjecati na najvišem nivou još nekoliko godina. Sudjelovanjem na olimpijskim igrama previše bih riskirao zbog ozljede leđa", dodao je.

Roehler, koji je i aktualni europski prvak, osvojio je zlato na OI u Rio de Janeiru...
