Američka gimnastičarka Aly Raisman, trostruka olimpijska pobjednica i jedna od žrtava zloglasnog seksualnog predatora Larryja Nassara, otvorila je dušu u dvodijelnoj televizijskoj emisiji “Aly Raisman: Od tame do svjetla”. Raisman je pred kamerama prepričala svoj put do oporavka te razgovarala sa stručnjacima i drugim žrtvama seksualnog zlostavljanja - pišu Sportske novosti.

- Od svih tih razgovora sa žrtvama osjećala sam se tako bolesno i umorno. Iako s jedne strane pokušavam to spriječiti, s druge strane shvaćam i da je u redu osjećati se tako - rekla je Raisman koja je prije nekoliko dana s kolegicama Simone Biles, McKaylom Maroney i Maggie Nichols optužila FBI da je svojim propustima omogućio Nassaru da još godinu dana nastavi zlostavljati mlade gimnastičarke.

Nassar, nekadašnji liječnik američke reprezentacije, osuđen je u siječnju 2018. na 175 godina zatvora zbog zlostavljanja više od 250 djevojčica i mladih žena u gotovo tri desetljeća.

Kriv je i cijeli sustav

Raisman (27) ističe da je potrebno temeljito istražiti i ulogu Američkog gimnastičkog saveza i Američkog olimpijskog odbora u prikrivanju Nassarovih zlodjela.

- Zastrašujuće je i razmišljati o tome koliko je ljudi znalo da je Nassar zlostavljač i da ništa nije učinilo. Važno je shvatiti da je doista potrebno cijelo selo da se zaštiti pedofila. Bez konkretnih odgovora ne možemo vjerovati u sigurniju budućnost jer ne znamo rade li u gimnastici još uvijek ljudi koji su cijelo vrijeme prikrivali zlostavljanje.

Šest godina prošlo je otkad je Raisman, osvajačica ukupno šest olimpijskih odličja (tri zlata, dva srebra, jedna bronca), javno progovorila o tome što joj je Nassar radio. Nakon svega, priznaje, još uvijek uči kako ponovno zavoljeti gimnastiku.

- Nekad sam praktički živjela u dvorani. Bilo je dana kad bih trenirala po šest ili sedam sati. Sve sam davala za gimnastiku. Danas mi je, međutim, teško razdvojiti ljude koji su nas izdali od moje ljubavi prema gimnastici.

O strahotama koje su proživljavale gimnastičarke i propustima FBI-a nedavno je pred Senatskim pravosudnim odborom govorila i najbolja gimnastičarka današnjice, a za mnoge i svih vremena Simone Biles. Osvajačica sedam olimpijskih odličja i rekordnih 25 sa svjetskih prvenstava ustvrdila je kako je FBI žmirio na sve što je Nassar godinama radio.

- Krivim Larryja Nassara, ali krivim i cijeli sustav koji je omogućio zlostavljanja. Američki gimnastički savez i Američki olimpijski odbor znali su da me njihov službeni liječnik zlostavljao puno duže nego što sam to mislila. Ako dopustite predatoru da našteti djeci, posljedice će biti brze i teške. Dosta je bilo!

Nedovoljna ozbiljnost

Interna istraga Ministarstva pravosuđa objavljena u srpnju pokazala je da je FBI napravio temeljne pogreške u istrazi i da nije tretirao slučaj s “najvećom ozbiljnošću” što je omogućilo Nassaru da zlostavlja i druge mlade gimnastičarke.

McKayla Maroney, osvajačica olimpijskog zlata u ekipnom višeboju 2012., rekla je pred Odborom da je jedne noći, kad je imala 15 godina, pronašla Nassara na sebi dok je bila gola, te da je to bilo samo jedno od mnogih zlostavljanja koja je pretrpjela. Dodala je da je mislila kako će umrijeti te večeri.

- Mislim da ljudi ne shvaćaju koliko je sve ovo utjecalo na naše živote.

Američka gimnastičarka Aly Raisman, trostruka olimpijska pobjednica i jedna od žrtava zloglasnog seksualnog predatora Larryja Nassara, otvorila je dušu u dvodijelnoj televizijskoj emisiji “Aly Raisman: Od tame do svjetla”. Raisman je pred kamerama prepričala svoj put do oporavka te razgovarala sa stručnjacima i drugim žrtvama seksualnog zlostavljanja - pišu Sportske novosti.

- Od svih tih razgovora sa žrtvama osjećala sam se tako bolesno i umorno. Iako s jedne strane pokušavam to spriječiti, s druge strane shvaćam i da je u redu osjećati se tako - rekla je Raisman koja je prije nekoliko dana s kolegicama Simone Biles, McKaylom Maroney i Maggie Nichols optužila FBI da je svojim propustima omogućio Nassaru da još godinu dana nastavi zlostavljati mlade gimnastičarke.

Nassar, nekadašnji liječnik američke reprezentacije, osuđen je u siječnju 2018. na 175 godina zatvora zbog zlostavljanja više od 250 djevojčica i mladih žena u gotovo tri desetljeća.

Kriv je i cijeli sustav

Raisman (27) ističe da je potrebno temeljito istražiti i ulogu Američkog gimnastičkog saveza i Američkog olimpijskog odbora u prikrivanju Nassarovih zlodjela.

- Zastrašujuće je i razmišljati o tome koliko je ljudi znalo da je Nassar zlostavljač i da ništa nije učinilo. Važno je shvatiti da je doista potrebno cijelo selo da se zaštiti pedofila. Bez konkretnih odgovora ne možemo vjerovati u sigurniju budućnost jer ne znamo rade li u gimnastici još uvijek ljudi koji su cijelo vrijeme prikrivali zlostavljanje.

Šest godina prošlo je otkad je Raisman, osvajačica ukupno šest olimpijskih odličja (tri zlata, dva srebra, jedna bronca), javno progovorila o tome što joj je Nassar radio. Nakon svega, priznaje, još uvijek uči kako ponovno zavoljeti gimnastiku.

- Nekad sam praktički živjela u dvorani. Bilo je dana kad bih trenirala po šest ili sedam sati. Sve sam davala za gimnastiku. Danas mi je, međutim, teško razdvojiti ljude koji su nas izdali od moje ljubavi prema gimnastici.

O strahotama koje su proživljavale gimnastičarke i propustima FBI-a nedavno je pred Senatskim pravosudnim odborom govorila i najbolja gimnastičarka današnjice, a za mnoge i svih vremena Simone Biles. Osvajačica sedam olimpijskih odličja i rekordnih 25 sa svjetskih prvenstava ustvrdila je kako je FBI žmirio na sve što je Nassar godinama radio.

- Krivim Larryja Nassara, ali krivim i cijeli sustav koji je omogućio zlostavljanja. Američki gimnastički savez i Američki olimpijski odbor znali su da me njihov službeni liječnik zlostavljao puno duže nego što sam to mislila. Ako dopustite predatoru da našteti djeci, posljedice će biti brze i teške. Dosta je bilo!

Nedovoljna ozbiljnost

Interna istraga Ministarstva pravosuđa objavljena u srpnju pokazala je da je FBI napravio temeljne pogreške u istrazi i da nije tretirao slučaj s “najvećom ozbiljnošću” što je omogućilo Nassaru da zlostavlja i druge mlade gimnastičarke.

McKayla Maroney, osvajačica olimpijskog zlata u ekipnom višeboju 2012., rekla je pred Odborom da je jedne noći, kad je imala 15 godina, pronašla Nassara na sebi dok je bila gola, te da je to bilo samo jedno od mnogih zlostavljanja koja je pretrpjela. Dodala je da je mislila kako će umrijeti te večeri.

- Mislim da ljudi ne shvaćaju koliko je sve ovo utjecalo na naše živote.
